Svetlana_Angelus/iStock via Getty Images Investment Thesis The market's reaction to Credo's ( CRDO ) earnings highlights a growing disconnect within the AI sector. Investors fear that the growth cycle in the AI infrastructure space may be getting ready to peak, but contrary to the popular belief, recent numbers point in the other direction. While the industry’s attention remains on GPUs, it is becoming obvious that the main problem area is now switching to networking infrastructure. This was confirmed by Credo's numbers. Credo is right in the heart of this trend with its active electrical cable (AEC) technology, high-performance optical DSPs, and new memory interconnect solutions. Since my last coverage , CRDO has more than doubled, and I believe that Credo is transforming into one of the most strategic players within the AI infrastructure layer through these product suites. Credo’s Earnings Reinforce The AI Infrastructure Thesis Credo’s earnings performance was very strong relative to how the stock reacted to them. Q4 revenue came in at a record $437 million , marking a 157% YoY rise, while annual revenues surpassed the $1.3 billion mark, rising 206%. Moreover, the quality of revenue growth was very impressive. Non-GAAP gross margin came in at 68.3%, non-GAAP net margin was above 51%, and FCF amounted to a record-high $177.5 million during the quarter. Not many AI infrastructure companies can boast such rapid revenue growth combined with such software-like profitability. The market focused on the guidance for fiscal 2027 showing revenue growth of more than 80%. Such a forecast was already a significant deceleration from fiscal 2026, which was an extraordinary year. Credo will shift its business model from AEC-focused to an AI connectivity platform business. The company estimates more than $600 million of optical revenue during fiscal 2027 in terms of ZeroFlap Optics, optical DSP and silicon photonics, each delivering more than $100 million of revenue. About half of...

Smiles abounded as Kevin Warsh took his oath to serve as the newest Federal Reserve chair in the White House East Room two weeks ago. The happy expressions probably won't last long. Inflation appeared to be under control enough for the Fed to cut rates several times in 2025. The situation has changed significantly since then. Normally, the central bank wouldn't proceed with further rate cuts amid resurgent inflation. However, President Trump clearly wants rate cuts. Based on his past comments, he expects loyalty from those he has nominated to serve in powerful federal positions. This puts Warsh in the middle of a crossfire. And it could rattle the stock market . The justice secretary said he spoke to the US vice president after he blamed mass immigration for Nowak’s murder The attorney general’s office is considering the jail sentence given to Vickrum Digwa after receiving “multiple requests” to review it under the unduly lenient sentence (ULS) scheme. As we mentioned in the opening post, Vickrum Digwa, 23, was jailed for life with a minimum of 21 years on Monday for murdering Henry Nowak in Southampton last December. I think it’s important to emphasise he claimed that . There is doubt as to whether this was religious , this 8in blade that was used, one, and two, you cannot carry a blade that is used in any way to harm life, that is illegal in our country, whatever the circumstances . In the end, where exceptions are made of this kind, whether it’s for Scots or whether it’s for Sikhs. It is a privilege to be able to enjoy that with the confidence of the public. Continue reading...

Ashi Sae Yang/iStock via Getty Images By Neil Pabari Urbanization and an expanding middle class with higher levels of disposable income have long been drivers of the growth in retail investment across Southeast Asia. Now, a new investor segment is emerging. Young people in Southeast Asia are rapidly becoming a major investment force, transforming the region's financial landscape through a combination of digital adoption, increased financial literacy and a desire to invest in alternative assets such as cryptocurrencies. Not only are younger investors an important demographic in terms of numbers, but they could soon have a higher level of wealth to invest as they inherit money. An estimated $5.8 trillion is expected to change hands in Southeast Asia by 2030 in the largest inter-generational wealth transfer the region has ever seen. Given the growing interest in investing, a significant portion of this wealth may end up in financial markets. Indonesia exemplifies this market shift, with capital market investors rising to 22.97 million – 99.76% of whom are retail investors. Notably, over 12.5 million of these investors (54.69%) are aged 30 or younger and those under 40 account for 79%. Retail investors of all ages now account for 50% of stock market trading volumes. Malaysia is seeing a similar pattern, with 53% of retail investors under age 45, according to research published by the country’s stock exchange, Bursa Malaysia. Meanwhile, those under 30 accounted for more than 50% of new investment accounts opened in the past five years. Anecdotal evidence suggests Thailand and Vietnam are seeing the same trend. In Thailand, one survey showed that six out of 10 members of Gen Z said they invested money every month, while in Vietnam investors under 30 accounted for 56% of new accounts opened at wealthtech platform Techcom Securities in the first half of 2025. This rapid growth is contributing to a broader regional story. Net wealth in Asia-Pacific (excluding China) grew 6% ...
