Israel and the US initiated an attack on Iran at the end of February, killing its Supreme Leader as well as other senior government and military officials. Iran responded in March by targeting the energy infrastructure of its neighbors and closing the Strait of Hormuz, the lone seaborne export route from the Persian Gulf through which an estimated one-fifth of the world's crude oil and liquefied natural gas supplies are transported. As a result, the near-term futures price of Brent crude oil trading in the US and natural gas traded in Europe increased more than 70% and 80%, respectively, during the quarter. In the US, new tools from AI model developer Anthropic and others prompted investor concern about the medium-term profitability and longer-term viability of a wide range of businesses at risk of disruption from AI including software, insurance brokers, wealth managers, logistics companies, and commercial real estate. SCM Jeans/iStock Editorial via Getty Images JPMorgan named LATAM Airlines ( LTM ) its top pick in the Latin American airlines sector. The firm has an Overweight rating on LATAM Airlines ( LTM ) on its view that the stock is trading at attractive levels compared to peers and pre-pandemic levels. The airline company is expected to continue to generate free cash flow, distribute dividends, and keep a competitive position in the markets in which it operates. Analyst Guilherme Mendes highlighted that LATAM Airlines ( LTM ) has consistently surprised the market to the upside since the conclusion of its Chapter 11 bankruptcy, and he thinks the outlook remains promising. As for the sector as a whole. Mendes noted that for the most part, Latin American carriers have consistently demonstrated the ability to pass through fare increases, although full fuel recapture may still take a couple of months. "As such, 2Q26 should represent the weakest quarter of the year, combining peak jet fuel prices with limited fare increases, as tickets were broadly sold prior to the onset of the conflict," he highlighted. Shares of LTM are down 8.0% on a year-to-date basis. Satellite Imagery Appears To Show Damage At US Airbase In Kuwait After Iranian Attack Via Middle East Eye Satellite imagery appears to show damage to a US air base in Kuwait following Iranian strikes on Wednesday. New imagery of the site released by Soar Atlas seems to show a destroyed shelter at the US Ali Al Salem Air Base , despite US Central Command (CENTCOM) insisting that all the missiles and drones targeting the site were "defeated". Screengrab of satellite imagery of the US Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait released by Soar Atlas (via X) Soar Atlas noted that the area surrounding the base "appears charred, with multiple impact craters visible nearby". In a statement, Centcom said that Iran had fired "several ballistic missiles toward regional neighbors", but claimed that "all failed to hit their intended targets" . It added that the two missiles fired at Kuwait "fell short or broke apart enroute" and that three missiles launched at Bahrain "were immediately intercepted" by air defences. Kuwait's foreign ministry said on Wednesday that a volley of Iranian missiles had struck the country's international airport and diplomatic missions. Local officials reported that one person was killed in the attack - who was later identified as an Indian citizen - and another 60 injured. alexsl Shares of Oscar Health ( OSCR ) rallied on Thursday after Wells Fargo upgraded the health insurer to Equal Weight from Underweight, citing greater confidence in the marketplace for Affordable Care Act plans, also known as Obamacare plans. Analyst Stephen Baxter pointed out that his prior bearish thesis assumed the company hadn’t sufficiently adjusted its 2026 pricing to recover margins amid potential morbidity pressures. However, based on better-than-expected trends in enrollment and morbidity outcomes, Baxter is now becoming increasingly confident with his 2026 forecasts for the ACA Marketplace even as its long-term visibility remains poor. The analyst argued that Florida, which accounts for ~64% of Oscar’s ( OSCR ) premium revenue, has only seen a 13.5% YoY membership decline with a 370bps YoY improvement in the medical loss ratio despite 640bps of potential conservatism on the risk adjustment. However, noting that enrollment remains ~50% above 2021 at the national level and ~120% above in Florida, Baxter said, "We expect uncertainty in the HIX market to remain high, particularly beyond 2026." The analyst raised his per-share target on the stock to $20 from $11. More on Oscar Health Oscar Health, Inc. ( WOR ) on Seeking Alpha on December 18, 2025 , when I rated the shares a buy and concluded with the following: While WOR shares are over 35% higher in 2025 and have been in a bullish trend since 2000, the stock has corrected 23.8% from $70.91 on June 25, 2025, to around $54 on December 18. Buying WOR on corrections has been optimal since 2000, and I expect that trend to continue. I reiterate my buy rating on WOR shares at $54. However, I would leave room to add to further price weakness. Since mid-December 2025, WOR shares have dropped to $45.01 and recovered to over $57.80 per share as of June 4, 2026. Buying WOR on weakness remains optimal, and I reiterate my buy rating on the stock. One Year Daily Chart of WOR Shares (Barchart) The one-year chart highlights the correction and bearish trading pattern since June 25, 2025. WOR shares fell 36.5% to the March 25, 2026, low of $45.01. At the most recent high, WOR was 18 times its 2000 low.
