Honeywell ( HON ) is hosting an aerospace investor day June 2-3 in Arizona, where management is expected to present its strategy, demonstrate technologies and showcase products during a flight demonstration. The event comes as the company moves toward spinning off its aerospace division into a standalone business. Margins stand out among peers Akers said Honeywell Aerospace (HONA) has delivered organic growth broadly in line with industry peers while generating stronger profitability. At the 2025 Paris Air Show, Honeywell projected a long-term compound annual growth rate ranging from the mid-single digits to high-single digits for the aerospace segment. The company expects original equipment sales to outpace growth in aftermarket services and defense and space businesses. Honeywell's aerospace aftermarket business has generally tracked peer performance in recent years, although growth slowed during the most recent quarter because of temporary supply-chain challenges, Akers noted. The business is expected to post an adjusted earnings before interest and taxes margin of roughly 25% in 2025, placing it near the top of its peer group. The company, founded by Nicholas Woodman , warned of risks to its ability to continue as a going concern and is seeking financing to avert a default, according to a latest filing. The San Mateo, California-based company reported a 26% revenue decline for the first quarter and disclosed at the time that it had received waivers from its lender after failing to comply with loan covenants. In an additional filing on Monday, the company said there is “substantial doubt about the company’s ability to continue as a going concern” and expects to file an update for its financial statements. Shares of the company fell as much as 14% on Monday. GoPro has previously discussed some of the reasons for its difficulties. Last month the company said its earnings forecast has been “significantly impacted” by events such as an 80% to 115% increase in memory prices. The business crisis is one of the side-effects of the global artificial intelligence boom, which has pushed up demand for memory and driven prices higher. Phones, cars, electronic devices makers have reported the impact as suppliers move more production away from consumer devices to high-margin AI server chips. GoPro said it learned from suppliers in April about a planned reduction in memory supply, which would reduce the camera maker’s forecasted sales. The company doesn’t expect to comply with several loan covenants. It also doesn’t expect to have enough liquidity to meet obligations if default or cross-default provisions are triggered and its outstanding debt become due, it said.
