And in my most recent update in October of last year, I even used a ‘strong buy’ rating on the preferred stock . I think these preferred shares still offer an attractive risk/reward ratio given the strong preferred dividend coverage and the robust balance sheet. While I'm not necessarily a big fan of owning the common stock of hotel REITs, my position in the preferred shares of Chatham is still increasing as the 8.3% preferred dividend yield is just too good to pass up on. This hotel REIT focuses on extended stay properties, which account for about 66% of its EBITDA . Data by YCharts The preferred shares remain well covered, and the balance sheet remains strong When I'm looking at preferred shares, I mainly focus on two specific elements. I, of course, want to make sure the preferred dividends are well covered by either the net income (or, in the case of REITs, the adjusted FFO), while I also want to make sure that the balance sheet is safe enough to withstand economic shocks. As Chatham Lodging Trust is a REIT, the first step to determine how attractive the preferred stock is, is the FFO result. As there is always some seasonality in the hotel business, it's always useful to have a look at the full-year results rather than trying to extrapolate quarterly results. As you can see below, Chatham reported a total adjusted FFO of $52.75M , and I would like to highlight here that this result already includes the just under 8 million USD spent on the preferred dividends. CLDT Investor Relations This indeed means that the total adjusted FFO before the preferred dividends exceeded $60M, which indeed means Chatham Lodging needed less than 15% of its pre-distribution FFO to cover these preferred dividends. White House Confirms Trump To Address Memecoin Gala Tonight Authored by Jesse Coghlan via Cointelegraph , The White House has reportedly confirmed that US President Donald Trump will attend the exclusive event for top TRUMP memecoin holders at his Florida residence on Saturday, after questions were raised earlier this month over whether he would attend. Reuters reported on Friday that the White House confirmed Trump would deliver a keynote address at the gala luncheon organized by the company behind his Official Trump ( TRUMP ) memecoin. The gala is set to take place at Mar-a-Lago. It will be open to the top 297 holders of the TRUMP token, and the top 29 holders will also qualify for a private reception with the president. When the event was announced in March, a White House official told Politico that it was not locked into Trump’s schedule and that it was taking place the same day Trump said he would attend the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner in Washington, DC, the first time he would do so as president. What's interesting about Datadog, Inc. ( DDOG ), is that they're not the model provider and they're not the chip supplier. They're the layer that helps enterprises figure out whether these models are working or not once they're in production - and that's only getting harder and harder as the infrastructure grows. I won't deny that the stock is not cheap, but consensus price targets are between $177 at the low end and $260 at the high end, with the current price roughly at $127.86. My estimates are higher (a bit more aggressive, I would say - but aggressive doesn't mean improbable/impossible), and I'll explain why in the valuation section. The short answer is that the company is already delivering $3.43 billion in revenue on a 28% year-over-year growth trajectory, $915 million in free cash flow, and has $4.47 billion in cash and cash equivalents on the balance sheet. It's a large cash flow-generative company, that's about to be embedded with large enterprises, its AI growth hasn't fully been priced in yet, I think it's still undervalued, so it all comes to the question of whether the buildout of the AI infrastructure accelerates Datadog's growth (my answer is yes), which is why I rate Datadog as a Buy.
