The expectations for CapEx spending by the hyperscalers continue to move higher. For 2026, consensus year-over-year CapEx is expected to increase by almost $250 billion, from $379 billion to $622 billion. The much stronger pace of the expected CapEx to support the technology infrastructure for AI has caused some concern, as the significant ramp in spending is projected to grow faster than revenues. Will Meta Platforms Inc. ( META ) and Microsoft Corp. ( MSFT ) maintain their capex guidance this year? Microsoft According to Visible Alpha consensus, total revenues expected for Q3 have remained stable since late October 2025, driven by a resilient view of its core business segments. However, the new Azure AI Services segment is projected to increase for FY 2026, with consensus estimates now expecting $23.4 billion, up from $18.8 billion last January. Expectations for this segment in Q3 2025 have edged up since October and nearly 25% since early 2025. Profitability is also expected to remain resilient for the Company, driving EPS expectations for the quarter and full year up. We are closely watching what the company will say about the outlook for Azure and OpenAI, as Microsoft’s FY 2026 CapEx numbers have continued to increase steadily. According to consensus projections, CapEx estimates are expected to double from $65 billion in FY 2025 to currently $130 billion in FY 2027. Microsoft stock has traded down 21% since the last earnings release. The consensus P/E for 2027 has come down from 31x in July and is now 22x. Could the Q3 release and outlook begin to drive outperformance in the stock? Meta Platforms According to Visible Alpha consensus, total revenues for Q1 are expected to be $55.5 billion, driven by solid performance in the Family of Apps segment, especially in t...

Filatex, one of India’s biggest polyester yarn producers, is paying nearly 30 per cent more for the petroleum-derived feedstocks – purified terephthalic acid (PTA) and monoethylene glycol (MEG) – that it needs to make yarn, as Chinese suppliers raise prices and Middle East supply is disrupted,...

Jian Fan/iStock via Getty Images As you can see in the chart below, Mobileye Global Inc. ( MBLY ) has seen nearly a third of its stock value wiped out in the past 52 weeks. That's after the post-earnings surge that is happening as I write this, and so it is clear that there has been an extended period of weakness. The company is really involved with an industry that's quite promising. Autonomous vehicles are widely considered the future of transportation, and so judging by the stock performance, it seems Mobileye hasn't executed that well. Today, I'm initiating coverage with an earnings review with the aim that by the end of this article there will be a clear investment thesis. Seeking Alpha In this article, it is shown that Q1 was a strong quarter overall for the company. While revised full-year guidance is still quite soft, the long-term positioning seems to be strong. Their push into robotaxis is ambitious, and their acquisition of Mentee Robotics could be a long-term game changer as physical AI becomes increasingly important. While the multiyear low level in the valuation could potentially be justified by the weak near-term outlook, I believe the market is overlooking the opportunities that the company has to expand. Therefore, I'm initiating Mobileye at a buy rating. The Company At A Glance Mobileye CES Presentation Before we jump into the results for their 2026 Q1, it is important to note that the company has come quite a long way and that, looking forward, the opportunity seems to be significant. As you can see in the above infographic , the adoption of the company's autonomous solutions has been quite respectable, as more than 230 million vehicles have been deployed with their SoCs through 2025 Q3. Therefore, while we're not at widespread full autonomy yet, the company really has made an impact on the driving experience for many. Looking forward, it is shown above that their pipeline offers them opportunity for growth as the market for autonomous solutions a...

Russia carried out one of the largest attacks on Ukraine overnight, killing four people and leaving over 30 wounded across the country, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said on Telegram. Ukraine’s General Staff said Russia launched 47 ballistic and cruise missiles as well as 619 drones of various types overnight. The main focus of the attack was the city of Dnipro, where 18 people were injured in attack on a residential building, Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba said on Telegram. The Chernihiv, Odesa and Kharkiv regions were also targeted, Zelenskiy said. The attack came less than two weeks after another huge strike , when Russia on April 16 attacked Ukraine with more than 40 missiles and 650 drones that killed at least 17 people. In Odesa, the port area and warehouse facilities were damaged, according to Kuleba. A Panama-flagged container ship was attacked by Russian drones while leaving the port, causing a fire on board that was extinguished. Despite the attack by Russia, Ukraine managed to launch one of its longest-range strikes. Drones struck Yekaterinburg in the Urals region for the first time, signaling Kyiv’s growing ability to hit targets deep inside Russia. A multistory residential building in Yekaterinburg — Russia’s fourth-largest city with a population of about 1.5 million — was damaged in the attack, according to regional authorities. Around 50 people were evacuated and at least six were injured. Yekaterinburg is one of Russia’s largest industrial centers and is a hub for military production. It lies deep inside the country in the Ural Mountains, roughly 1,700 kilometers (1,056 miles) from the Ukrainian border.
