Since the start of June, we have seen volatility return to the market with a vengeance. The intraday swings have been nauseating for even the most seasoned traders. So, when market moves start to create mayhem for your portfolio, it may be time to look for a little insurance. In this case, we are referring to insurance stocks. When we break down the charts we see they have been slow, steady and trending sideways for years but that is changing. One stock in particular is leading the change: Allstate . While high-growth names have been caught in the market's tug-of-war between interest rates, valuations and economic uncertainty, this insurance giant has quietly shifted into high gear. The stock has not only weathered the storm, it's accelerated past many of its peers as shares just hit fresh all-time highs. When looking at this trade, let's break it down three ways. First, we examine the insurance sector ETF, the iShares U.S. Insurance ETF (IAK), of which Allstate is the fourth largest holding making up 6.4%. I wanted to identify a sector that was faring well, relatively stable and technically attractive over the longer term. Looking at the IAK ETF chart over the last five years on a weekly basis we see a sector stuck in neutral. It's traded roughly between $125 and $138 for almost two years. This is hardly exciting. There is a chance it remains in this channel for some time, but it's worth watching as we trade near its upper limits. Can this be the time it breaks out? More importantly, when you see how this market is acting and where the strength is, you'll notice many names within this sector outperforming. Then when looking under the hood to see what stock within the sector has outperformed on a relative basis, we see Allstate standing out. Next, we break down the stock itself. We know it is outperforming the sector, but is it giving us a strong buy signal? Here on the one-year daily chart we see a break above resistance for the second time in three weeks. The firs...

In this article COIN Follow your favorite stocks CREATE FREE ACCOUNT Dado Ruvic | Reuters Coinbase on Thursday launched a new tool that gives AI agents the ability to trade and transact directly on users' behalf, representing a broader bet that AI agents will become a primary interface for people's financial activity. Coinbase for Agents will initially allow agents like ChatGPT or Claude to execute crypto trades using natural language instructions. For example, customers can prompt their agent to rebalance portfolios, identify trading opportunities, execute strategies and manage positions over time. It will eventually expand these capabilities to stocks and predictions. Additionally, using Coinbase's machine-to-machine payments protocol, called x402, agents can pay directly for digital services like paywalled research, data APIs and on-demand compute without a human in the loop — and execute trades based on those insights. The company sees this stage of agentic payments, which lets customers bypass the need to manage traditional logins or subscriptions, as a precursor to agentic shopping, where agents browse, find the best deals, select and make purchases on users' behalf. "The whole idea is to give agents access to money and, through that financial independence, improve their set of capabilities to pretty much anything on the internet," Lincoln Murr, Coinbase's AI product lead, told CNBC. "In the 2010s, every internet company dealt with the transition from desktop and web into a mobile environment. And now in the late 2020s, we're seeing the exact same thing happen where agents are going to be the new primary economic actors on the internet." The launch comes right in the middle of an AI boom where agentic systems are one of the hottest investing themes. At the same time, the crypto sector is still in a relatively subdued, post-cycle slump – making the launch both a hype-aligned bet on AI and a contrarian push into a softer trading environment. New Farm Bill places caps on non-US foods; nutritionists say it restricts availability of healthy meals for kids School nutrition workers and advocates have “lots of concerns about bananas”, said Erin Ogden, policy associate for federal child nutrition programs at the Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI). Bananas are nutrient-dense foods that many children like. That makes them popular offerings in school cafeterias, since any healthy food that a kid will eat prevents waste and ensures that child isn’t eating either nothing or something less wholesome instead. herstockart Coinbase Global ( COIN ) introduced a tool on Thursday that allows Coinbase users to connect their accounts to agents, such as ChatGPT or Claude, to trade crypto, pay for services, and operate autonomously, the company said. Coinbase for Agents is a standalone tool built for agents to trade, pay, and operate on their own with spending limits and guardrails built in. It "brings your Coinbase account into any AI agent you already use, like Claude or ChatGPT," it said. Initially, the tool can trade crypto spot markets and derivatives, operating either out of its own isolated portfolio or directly from the user's main account balance. It plans to add equities, prediction markets, and everything else available on Coinbase ( COIN ). The product launch follows Robinhood's ( HOOD ) agentic trading feature, announced in late May, which also allows for payments through an agentic credit card. Coinbase for Agents combines exchange access with x402, an internet-native payment protocol. That allows a user's agent to instantly access thousands of services, like paywalled research, data APIs, and on-demand compute with no logins or subscriptions, the company said. While Coinbase ( COIN ) believes that stablecoins are the best payment rail, x402 isn't limited to stablecoins. It can support any payment rail. As for setting safeguards, "Soon you’ll also be able to set exact rules: maximum trade size, what it can interact with, how much it can spend. The agent works within those parameters," Coinbase ( COIN ) said. More on Coinbase Coinbase: Great Business, But Not Enough Margin Of Safety Yet Coinbase: What Exactly Are Bears Waiting For? Pardoned J6er Sues Government For $18 Million Over Alleged Abuse In Pretrial Detention Authored by Matthew Vadum via The Epoch Times, A former Jan. 6 defendant who alleged torture and other abuse in custody is suing the federal government for almost $18 million. The lawsuit by Ryan Samsel of Bristol, Pennsylvania, was filed late June 9 in federal court in Virginia, six months after he gave the government the legally required notice he was planning to litigate. He is seeking $17,980,000 from the federal government for physical and mental injuries suffered from January 2021 through January 2025. According to the newly filed legal complaint , Samsel was convicted in February 2024 of civil disorder-related offenses in connection with the Jan. 6, 2021, U.S. Capitol breach and was incarcerated and awaiting sentencing when President Donald Trump pardoned him last year. Specifically, he was convicted on felony charges of civil disorder; assaulting, resisting, or impeding officers; and assaulting, resisting, or impeding officers using a dangerous weapon, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) previously said. Samsel disputes the criminal allegations. Samsel alleges he was subjected to physical and psychological abuse while in custody at facilities operated by the DOJ and the U.S. Bureau of Prisons in the District of Columbia and Virginia. At those facilities, “he was repeatedly beaten, subject to other incidents of extraordinary physical and mental abuse and routinely denied medical care.” In addition, he was “wrongfully detained for one day after receiving a full pardon, based on false allegations of an outstanding warrant made by the prosecutor.” The DOJ also leaked false information to the media indicating that Samsel was a member of the Proud Boys, the complaint alleges. The group, some of whose members have been accused of violence, describes itself as a patriotic drinking club. The complaint says that during his incarceration, Samsel suffered orbital bone fractures and b...

Investor enthusiasm surrounding the franchise's postseason success has helped fuel a strong rally in MSGS shares. The stock recently traded at $384.60 and is up 48.7% in 2026, including a gain of 14.8% over the past month as championship expectations have intensified. The Knicks' deep playoff run is also creating ripple effects across several market segments tied to professional sports and live entertainment. Sports betting and gaming operators, including DraftKings ( DKNG ), Flutter Entertainment ( FLUT ), MGM Resorts ( MGM ), and Caesars Entertainment ( CZR ), are drawing attention as heightened fan engagement and championship wagering activity boost betting volumes. Meanwhile, the surge in demand for Finals tickets has provided support for companies connected to the live-event ecosystem. Secondary-market ticket platforms and entertainment-related businesses, such as StubHub ( STUB ) and Live Nation ( LYV ), stand to benefit as prices for NBA Finals games at Madison Square Garden have climbed into the thousands of dollars per seat, with premium courtside locations commanding six-figure sums. Dazman/E+ via Getty Images Hundreds of iron ore miner BHP's ( BHP ) electrical workers at Port Hedland , Australia's biggest iron ore export hub, voted in favor of strike action , two unions said Thursday. The Electrical Trades Union said ~100 members who voted all endorsed work stoppages ranging from 30 minutes to 24 hours, which could begin within days, and the Australian Manufacturing Workers' Union said 89% of more than 100 members voted to support strike action. The votes follow several months of talks with BHP ( BHP ), with workers seeking improved pay and conditions. The ETU said it is seeking an agreement that ensures parity for workers at the port with the same skills and experience after they were hired on "wildly disparate" individual contracts. Strong contingency plans are in place to ensure operations can continue in the event of union disruptions, the company said. Port Hedland is one of the world's largest iron ore loading ports and is used for all of BHP's ( BHP ) iron ore exports from Western Australia.
