Leon Neal/Getty Images News Coinbase Global ( COIN ) ( COIN:CA ) has strategically partnered with the payout orchestration platform, MassPay Holdings, to bring stablecoin-powered cross-border payout capabilities to businesses worldwide. MassPay's single-API global payout network will combine with Coinbase's regulated digital asset infrastructure, institutional-grade safeguarding of digital assets, and extensive global licensing footprint. The collaboration enables enterprise customers to move seamlessly between fiat currency, USDC ( USDC-USD ), and other digital assets without managing separate crypto infrastructure, eliminating the operational complexity of managing stablecoin onramps, wallet infrastructure, liquidity, and regulatory requirements independently. "Stablecoin rails are becoming the standard for how global businesses move money, and our partnership with MassPay is a great example of that shift in action. MassPay's enterprise clients can now fund in USD, settle in USDC, and pay recipients globally—all within the infrastructure they already use," said Alec Lovett, head of infrastructure products at Coinbase. Commodity traders Trafigura Group and Vitol Group are expanding efforts to sell Venezuelan oil into Asia, a move that comes as the South American country’s production rises and the Iran war disrupts competing supplies from the Middle East. Trafigura has offered Venezuelan flagship Merey 16 crude to refiners in South Korea, according to people with knowledge of the situation who asked not to be named discussing private transactions. The company also recently delivered oil to a refinery in Malaysia, the people said. Traders had also made recent offers to India at discounts of around $6 a barrel to the Dated Brent benchmark, although it wasn’t immediately clear if any volumes had been sold to the South Asian nation, according to the people. After saturating the US market with Venezuelan oil, traders are now seeking to further diversify sales as production rises to a seven-year high , approaching levels seen before Washington imposed sweeping sanctions against the country’s oil industry in 2019. The increase in offers to Asia comes as the Iran war limits tanker traffic through the vital Strait of Hormuz and a peace deal appears elusive. Following Nicolas Maduro ’s ouster in early January, the traders boosted sales to India, which now takes almost as much Venezuelan oil as China once did. But rising Venezuelan crude production will require new buyers. China, formerly the top buyer in Asia, has yet to make any purchases since the Trump administration moved to control Venezuela’s oil sales. Read more: India Returns to Buying Venezuelan Crude to Ease Supply Crunch Trafigura offered half a million barrels of Merey 16 to South Korean fuelmakers, people with knowledge of the situation said. The oil was eventually discharged into a storage facility in South Korea in early June, data from maritime intelligence firm Kpler Ltd. show. South Korea last bought Venezuelan oil in 2011, according to the country’s customs data compiled by Bloomberg. Trafigura declined to comment. The sam...

Anna Reshetnikova/iStock via Getty Images Structure Therapeutics Overview Structure Therapeutics Inc. ( GPCR ) is advancing its GLP-1 pill, aleniglipron, into a Phase 3 program. I last covered the stock immediately following Phase 2b data, which supported, in my opinion, a potential “best-in-class” oral profile, with over 10% placebo-adjusted mean weight loss and around 10% discontinuation rates. The company has since stockpiled $1.5 billion in cash and investments and intends to initiate a Phase 3 obesity program in Q3. Earlier this week, Structure presented at the American Diabetes Association (ADA) conference, alongside larger peers like Roche ( RHHBY ) and Pfizer ( PFE ). In the paragraphs that follow, I read the "tealeaves" of Phase 2b data, as well as model aleniglipron on a risk-adjusted net present value basis. I conclude that the GPCR's weakness following Phase 2b presents risk-tolerant investors with an excellent opportunity in the massive obesity treatment market. Recent Developments Three things matter when you're developing an oral weight loss therapy: efficacy, safety, and tolerability. And with two orals now on the market in Novo Nordisk's ( NVO ) Wegovy and Eli Lilly's ( LLY ) Foundayo, it's all the more important to have a differentiated drug. Table 1: Drug comparisons, various sources (Author's Compilation) I see aleniglipron as the “best of both worlds.” It is on par with Wegovy on efficacy and could feasibly come close to injectable-like efficacy with more time, with the manufacturing and scalability advantages of Foundayo. As always, AE-related dropouts remain a major variable to watch, and management believes that starting patients on 2.5 mg in the Phase 3 trials will help. This logic is grounded. In the Phase 2b trial, GI-related AEs actually decreased as the assigned maintenance dose increased, implying that AE-related dropouts are entirely an “on-ramp” problem. This is why Structure is pivoting to a lower 2.5 mg starting dose. Another big th...

matdesign24/iStock via Getty Images Introduction Factorial Energy Inc. ( FAC ) has started to trade on the Nasdaq on June 8 th after completing its merger with Cartesian Growth Corporation III in a SPAC IPO, and the stock has nearly doubled from the $10 deal reference in just 3 days. I want to dive into the relatively new company, as I covered Solid Power , and see what the prospects behind the operation are. Current Dynamics So, the business combination was announced in December at a pre-money valuation of roughly $1.1B, and it has now surged to nearly $3B in market cap following the IPO hype. It is important to note that through the 8-K , we can see that Cartesian III redeemed 23,051,313 class A ordinary shares, implying an 84% redemption rate, leaving only about 4.6MM former SPAC shares in free circulation. The founder shares converted one-for-one and are subject to customary lock-ups, as the 110MM-odd rollover shares held by Factorial’s pre-deal owners are locked, and the 10MM PIPE shares cannot trade freely until a resale registration statement is declared effective. So the company still received over $100MM in gross proceeds, but nearly all of it came from the PIPE rather than the trust. This is a classic SPAC case as the stock has continued to rally drastically since the IPO on heavy retail volume on low float. This movie has been seen times and times again as the float will expand through warrant exercises, PIPE resale registration, and lock-up expiries, and thus the scarcity premium will deflate, regardless of how the underlying business performs. This brings me to the question of what Factorial actually does. The firm operates 2 platforms at different maturity levels, with the first being FEST, or Factorial Electrolyte System Technology , which is a quasi-solid-state lithium-metal design. Stellantis validated automotive-sized FEST cells at 375 Wh/kg with charging from 15% to 90% in about 18 minutes, which is simply extraordinary. In the most recent milesto...

Since the start of June, we have seen volatility return to the market with a vengeance. The intraday swings have been nauseating for even the most seasoned traders. So, when market moves start to create mayhem for your portfolio, it may be time to look for a little insurance. In this case, we are referring to insurance stocks. When we break down the charts we see they have been slow, steady and trending sideways for years but that is changing. One stock in particular is leading the change: Allstate . While high-growth names have been caught in the market's tug-of-war between interest rates, valuations and economic uncertainty, this insurance giant has quietly shifted into high gear. The stock has not only weathered the storm, it's accelerated past many of its peers as shares just hit fresh all-time highs. When looking at this trade, let's break it down three ways. First, we examine the insurance sector ETF, the iShares U.S. Insurance ETF (IAK), of which Allstate is the fourth largest holding making up 6.4%. I wanted to identify a sector that was faring well, relatively stable and technically attractive over the longer term. Looking at the IAK ETF chart over the last five years on a weekly basis we see a sector stuck in neutral. It's traded roughly between $125 and $138 for almost two years. This is hardly exciting. There is a chance it remains in this channel for some time, but it's worth watching as we trade near its upper limits. Can this be the time it breaks out? More importantly, when you see how this market is acting and where the strength is, you'll notice many names within this sector outperforming. Then when looking under the hood to see what stock within the sector has outperformed on a relative basis, we see Allstate standing out. Next, we break down the stock itself. We know it is outperforming the sector, but is it giving us a strong buy signal? Here on the one-year daily chart we see a break above resistance for the second time in three weeks. The firs...

In this article COIN Follow your favorite stocks CREATE FREE ACCOUNT Dado Ruvic | Reuters Coinbase on Thursday launched a new tool that gives AI agents the ability to trade and transact directly on users' behalf, representing a broader bet that AI agents will become a primary interface for people's financial activity. Coinbase for Agents will initially allow agents like ChatGPT or Claude to execute crypto trades using natural language instructions. For example, customers can prompt their agent to rebalance portfolios, identify trading opportunities, execute strategies and manage positions over time. It will eventually expand these capabilities to stocks and predictions. Additionally, using Coinbase's machine-to-machine payments protocol, called x402, agents can pay directly for digital services like paywalled research, data APIs and on-demand compute without a human in the loop — and execute trades based on those insights. The company sees this stage of agentic payments, which lets customers bypass the need to manage traditional logins or subscriptions, as a precursor to agentic shopping, where agents browse, find the best deals, select and make purchases on users' behalf. "The whole idea is to give agents access to money and, through that financial independence, improve their set of capabilities to pretty much anything on the internet," Lincoln Murr, Coinbase's AI product lead, told CNBC. "In the 2010s, every internet company dealt with the transition from desktop and web into a mobile environment. And now in the late 2020s, we're seeing the exact same thing happen where agents are going to be the new primary economic actors on the internet." The launch comes right in the middle of an AI boom where agentic systems are one of the hottest investing themes. At the same time, the crypto sector is still in a relatively subdued, post-cycle slump – making the launch both a hype-aligned bet on AI and a contrarian push into a softer trading environment. Bananas are nutrient-dense foods that many children like. That makes them popular offerings in school cafeterias, since any healthy food that a kid will eat prevents waste and ensures that child isn’t eating either nothing or something less wholesome instead.
