One of Blue Owl Capital Inc. ’s private credit funds that capped redemptions earlier this year is set to raise $500 million from an investment-grade bond sale. Blue Owl Credit Income Corp. has launched the sale of a five-year note at a spread of 2.55 percentage points above Treasuries, according to a person familiar with the matter who asked not to be identified as they’re not authorized to speak publicly. That’s about a quarter-point tighter than initial price talk. Proceeds used to repay debt, the person said. The $37 billion fund, known as OCIC, is one of the largest in private credit. But it received investor withdrawal requests on more than 20% of its shares earlier this year amid sector worries centered on the health of software-related holdings. Redemptions were limited to 5% of net asset value at OCIC and Blue Owl Technology Income Corp., which are both business development companies that pool private credit loans. News about fresh redemption requests in private credit began emerging last week, with several funds saying they will limit the next round of withdrawals. Monday’s bond sale, one of eight investment-grade offerings, is being led by Crédit Agricole SA ING Groep NV, Royal Bank of Canada, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp. and Wells Fargo & Co. Blue Owl Capital and the banks either declined to comment or didn’t immediately reply to requests. The offering helps “demonstrate the company’s ongoing access to debt capital markets that sends an important constructive signal,” Bloomberg Intelligence analyst David Havens wrote in a Monday note. A separate Blue Owl tech fund sold $500 million of high-grade bonds last week to refinance debt.

The world’s shipowners have placed orders for a record number of new oil supertankers, surpassing a boom back in 2008 that ultimately led to a glut and a collapse in rates. There are currently 262 supertankers, each capable of hauling 2 million barrels of crude oil, on order at shipyards around the world, according to Clarkson Research Services Ltd., a unit of the world’s largest shipbroker. The number, which would be enough to handle the entirety of the vast US crude oil-export program, exceeds the prior peak, set in October 2008. The current tankers boom, and the potential for it to seed the next downturn, was a constant talking point when players gathered in Athens last week for the industry’s biennial Posidonia gathering. The market has been caught up in — and profited heavily from — the Iran war. Rates have doubled from pre-conflict levels and at times soared to all time highs of several hundred thousand dollars a day because of the disruption caused. However, the continued blockage of the Strait of Hormuz has also slashed cargo flows, which could in time dent earnings if sustained, especially if the conflict ultimately depresses long-term demand. “It’s temporarily better,” than when the market boomed in 2004-08, George Economou , a Greek shipping billionaire and founder of TMS Group, said in the Greek capital. “But if it continues, it’s going to be bad for the tankers.” The market capitalization of 15 of the largest listed tanker stocks has topped $60 billion at times since the war, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. It was barely half that at the start of the year — a sign of the scale of the surge for the vital cog of the world’s oil trade. Big Buyers There’s another reason many owners of supertankers are awash with cash too — an enigmatic South Korean shipowner, with backing from MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company SA, has been snapping up tankers at sky-high prices in recent months. That’s left many of the companies that sold to Sinokor with both smal...

Opla/iStock via Getty Images Diana Shipping ( DSX ) said Monday it will focus its proxy contest on the election of two of its nominees to the Genco Shipping ( GNK ) board, Jens Ismar and Paul Cornell, and will withdraw its nominations of four other Genco director nominees. Diana ( DSX ) said it is withdrawing the nominations of Gustave Brun-Lie, Chao Sih Hing Francois, Viktoria Poziopoulou, and Quentin Soanes. " By focusing its slate on the election of Jens Ismar and Paul Cornell , Diana is making clear that its $24.80 per share all-cash offer is inextricably linked to the outcome of the [Genco] annual meeting. If they are not elected, Diana will have no choice but to reassess the continuation of its offer," the company said. Genco ( GNK ) recently rejected Diana Shipping's ( DSX ) revised $24.80/share offer, saying the latest bid continues to undervalue the company and its assets. Separately, Genco ( GNK ) said proxy advisor Institutional Shareholder Services joined Glass Lewis and Egan-Jones in recommending shareholders approve all of its board nominees. "On balance, the dissident's most recent offer does not appear to be a reasonable starting point for engagement," and "the board has established a clear path forward, in that it has outlined objective criteria necessary for an engagement, and the requirements do not appear unreasonable given the current market environment," ISS said in its report. Earnings Call Insights: The Campbell's Company (CPB) Q3 2026 Management View Mick Beekhuizen (CEO, President & Director) framed the Snacks reset around simplification, saying, "I'm really looking at this in the context of simplification" and that the focus is "at the brand level, focus on the core," citing Goldfish as an example where "over the past 2 quarters that core part of the Goldfish brand has stabilized." Beekhuizen (CEO, President & Director) tied innovation to fewer launches with more support, stating the company is "making sure that we support fewer, more meaningful innovation instead of having a broad proliferation of small innovations," and added that SKU reductions could drive operational benefits: "there is a tail of SKUs in certain brands... we believe that the reduction of that tail could actually allow for further simplification and as a result, improve the overall operations and improve our overall network." Todd Cunfer (Executive VP & Chief Financial Officer) detailed external cost pressure and internal offsets, saying, "if oil stays around $100 a barrel, we're looking at an additional 2% to 3% inflation on top of the core 3%," while adding, "elevated productivity is essential for us going into next year" and the company will try to accelerate its "previously announced $100 million SG&A takeout over the next couple of years." Outlook Todd Cunfer (Executive VP & Chief Financial Officer) indicated FY 2027 planning assumptions shifted as geopolitics and logistics tightened, saying base inflation was "around 3%" but could rise with energy and logistics: "we could obviously be looking at 5% to 6% inflation," and added that "RGM will be a very, very key component going into next year." Cunfer (Executive VP & Chief Financial Officer) described a more front-loaded inflation risk profile, stating, "the one thing that is looking more and more clear every day is that the first half inflation will be pretty high," with uncertainty around the back half: "The ...

Erik Isakson Last week's Computex conference in Taiwan reinforced the idea that artificial intelligence-related computing demand continues to intensify, due in part to the rise of AI agents, according to UBS analysts. It also demonstrated that Nvidia ( NVDA ) continues to dominate GPU shipments over its chief rival AMD ( AMD ). "On the latest NVDA/AMD ramps, our latest reads (consistent with our models) is that NVDA Blackwell will dominate C2026 shipments with Rubin Ultra layering in into C4Q26," said UBS analysts, led by Timothy Arcuri, in a Monday investor report. "While for AMD Helios, we continue to expect motherboard shipments in Q4'26, though full rack deployments are likely skewed toward YE'26 given additional time required for double-wide rack optimization, validation, and data center integration." The chipmaker Arm ( ARM ) also provided a more constructive outlook for its CPU opportunity as it lands more large-scale customers. "The company confirmed ARM AGI is now in production at TSMC ( TSM ), with offerings spanning 36kW (8,160 cores) and 200kW (45,696 cores) rack configurations," Arcuri noted. "Importantly, ByteDance ( BDNCE ) and Oracle ( ORCL ) were disclosed as new AGI customers, and now suggesting its prior $15B F2031 AGI revenue target is conservative—we are encouraged by the proliferation of the hyperscaler customer base, as we previously suggested META/OAI ( META )/( OPENAI ) alone may have a harder time ramping to the $15B in demand given other vendors they historically relied on (AMD, NVDA, INTC, cloud in-house CPUs for cloud capacity)." And of course, Marvell was in the spotlight after surging on the remarks made by Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang that it was the next $1T company. "NVDA highlighted its reliance on MRVL across interconnect, silicon photonics, and optics, including within NVLink Fusion—an area that, based on our checks, could be relevant for future AWS Trainium deployments," Arcuri said. "MRVL also reiterated that the 'copper wall' is ef...

A little more than five years ago, a shiny white Falcon 9 rocket made its debut flight, boosting a Cargo Dragon spacecraft to the International Space Station. Over the next year, it would launch a pair of astronaut missions and a handful of commercial spacecraft. But since then, this first stage booster, designated B 1067, has mostly flown Starlink missions. It has launched them one after another, always returning safely to a drone ship before undergoing refurbishment and flying again. Sometimes it has flown twice in a single month. On Monday morning, B 1067 once again took to the skies, launching 29 Starlink Internet satellites into low-Earth orbit from Florida. Upon landing on the A Shortfall of Gravitas drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean, the vehicle completed its 35th mission overall, retaining its title as fleet leader for SpaceX. As Israel and Iran said they were looking to agree to an immediate ceasefire following a series of tit-for-tat airstrikes, Lebanon’s status as a key stumbling block in talks to end the wider regional war became clearer. Iranian authorities have repeatedly insisted that Israel pull out of Lebanon and stop airstrikes on ally Hezbollah as well as the Lebanese capital, Beirut, as a condition to ending hostilities. Now, they vow to resume missile salvos if Israel keeps up attacks on the militant group. Israel rejected Iran’s warning. While it agreed to halt strikes on Iran following a request from US President Donald Trump, it said it won’t stop targeting Hezbollah unless the group ends cross-border assaults on northern Israeli communities. “Any Iranian attempt to link Lebanon to Iran in attacking Israel will be met with a forcible response,” Defense Minister Israel Katz said today. Upcoming elections in both Israel and the US may well influence next steps. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is under pressure to show he can put Israel’s security interest first. Trump, in turn, is focused on getting a peace deal done to ease oil prices and calm voter fury before November’s midterm elections. The diverging priorities have led Trump’s frustrations to boil over. “I call all the shots,” the president told the Financial Times over the weekend. Referring to Netanyahu, he added, “He doesn’t call the shots.” — Zoltan Simon What You Need to Know Today US allies will seek Trump’s approval for a Europe-led plan to demine the Strait of Hormuz at next week’s Group of Seven summit in France. The UK and France are leading the mine-clearing mission, which is operationally ready after work by military planners from more than 15 countries. The plan would have American allies deploy assets to the strait within days of a peace deal between the US and Iran.
