Viasat’s ( VSAT ) system will be installed in 11 of the carriers’ aircraft to provide passengers with internet connectivity and in-flight entertainment as part of Jetstar’s cabin modernization program. Installation has already begun, with the initial aircraft entering service earlier this month. Full fleet installations will continue through mid-2027. The partnership between Jetstar and Viasat ( VSAT ) is part of Viasat’s ( VSAT ) effort to expand its global network, including the continued development of ViaSat-3 capacity to add new bandwidth across the Asia-Pacific region and integration of Ka-band low Earth orbit (LEO) capacity from Telesat Lightspeed ( TSAT ).
