Zenith Automotive Holdings Ltd has secured fresh funding from its private equity owner and an extension of debt maturities from its lenders as it reels from a slump in used electric vehicle prices. Bridgepoint Group Plc will inject £100 million ($135 million) of equity into the vehicle leasing company as part of a recapitalization agreement to strengthen its balance sheet, Zenith said in a statement. The transaction will help boost the collateral backing a £1 billion securitization facility used to finance its fleet, the company added. The securitization facility will be extended to February 2029, while the maturity on Zenith’s revolving credit facility and senior secured notes will be extended to April 2031 and June 2031, respectively, the firm said. The senior notes will pay 6.5% in cash interest, plus an additional 4% if the company’s liquidity exceeds a specified threshold, according to people familiar with the matter who asked not to be identified. A sharp drop in second-hand electric vehicle prices has squeezed car leasing companies by eroding the value of their fleets. Zenith has been among those hardest hit by the downturn, with earnings before interest, tax and depreciation falling by a third to £42.2 million in the 2025 fiscal year. EV Valuation Plunge Brings Pain to Car Leasing Firm: The Brink Wednesday’s transaction is intended to mitigate “the impact of lower fleet residual values,” Zenith said. The deal has the backing of about 95% of senior secured noteholders, as well as unanimous support from its revolving credit facility and securitization lenders. The equity injection includes £46 million of junior mezzanine notes provided by Bridgepoint in 2025, which will now be converted into equity, the company said. Bridgepoint acquired Zenith from HgCapital in 2017 for £750 million. Zenith’s £475 million bond maturing in 2027 was quoted little changed at around 74 pence, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.

imaginima/iStock via Getty Images Investment Thesis It feels like Nebius ( NBIS ) has finally crossed its inflection point with the stock now up another 36% since my last coverage and roughly 500% since I first went long . Now, Nebius is not trading on stories anymore, it is getting a rating boost from conviction. The price target has been upgraded to new heights, starting with Goldman Sachs' $205 price target due to significant boosts in revenue growth expectations for years ahead. The spike in GPU prices is transforming Nebius into a profits-power stock. High prices, coupled with fixed costs and pre-sold demand will cause margins to rise organically with scale. I believe that investors are only seeing the near-term revenues here, while the long-term profit picture remains largely untapped. Data by YCharts Rising GPU Prices Will Boost Nebius’s Earnings Power Increased prices for GPUs constitute some of the strongest tailwinds facing the Nebius company based on its economic model. This is due to the fact that expenses are fairly constant when putting the technology to use (depreciation of GPUs, electricity among others) while income depends on price in the market. The index started the year at about $4.40/hr with January averaging $4.41/hr for B200. However, by March the market has been able to reprice itself with a mean rate of $5.09/hr, median price of $4.96/hr and peaks hitting $6.00/hr+ reaching as high as $6.11/hr. With Nebius’ pricing at $5.50/hr , it is squarely within its optimal pricing range, premium over most neocloud competition but far lower than hyperscalers’ spot prices. /docs.nebius.com At a $5.50/hr pricing level, Nebius would require approximately ~220,000 GPUs to hit $8 billion ARR. However, the higher its pricing goes the lower the number of GPUs it will need due to the increasing revenue from each GPU-hour sold, with minimal changes to its cost structure. For example, at ~$6/hr pricing, it would require ~200,000 GPUs. On the other hand, at ~$6.5...

N Rotteveel/iStock Editorial via Getty Images Bitcoin ( BTC-USD ) rose 2.9% on Wednesday as President Donald Trump extended the ceasefire with Iran. The world's largest digital currency touched $78.5K at the time of writing. The broader market sentiment also improved as reports suggested that there could be a possibility of another round of peace talks between the U.S. and Iran as soon as Friday. "Bitcoin is increasingly behaving as a hybrid asset, drawing inflows during periods of easing tensions and as a hedge during geopolitical uncertainty. Technically, $80,000 is the next significant resistance level, and the daily MACD suggests moderate upside momentum," David Morrison, senior market analyst, Trade Nation, said. “Recent market focus remains on the fluctuating U.S.-Iran negotiation progress, which directly drives oil price volatility around the $90-100/barrel level. Recent breakdowns in talks and threats of renewed blockades in the Strait of Hormuz have pushed crude higher, injecting persistent inflationary pressure that complicates the Fed's path—delaying rate cuts and maintaining a hawkish stance into late 2026," Ryan Lee, Chief Analyst at Bitget, said. This dynamic supports a risk-off tilt in traditional assets while bolstering BTC near $75,000 and ETH around $2,300 as a liquidity buffer, with gold also firming amid uncertainty, Lee added. ‘The first resident that Emma – a social robot – was introduced to was called Peter. After that, Emma assumed they were all called Peter, which everyone found hilarious. Then she broke down’ One morning in July 2025, I arrived in the small, quiet town of Albershausen in south-west Germany. It has only around 4,000 inhabitants. I went to visit a care home where they were piloting a social robot named Emma. A group of residents sat in a circle while Emma stood in the middle. She’s the height of a toddler, with big googly eyes, and was wearing a red hat knitted for her by one of the careworkers. The first resident she was introduced to was called Peter and, after he introduced himself, Emma assumed they were all called Peter, which everyone found hilarious. Then Emma broke down suddenly and the illusion was shattered. Later on, Emma was working again, and I found her in the dining room with Waltraud, the resident in this photo. It was a calmer, more focused moment. I decided to sit them across from one another at eye level, Waltraud facing Emma. There was a soft light in the room and they both seemed very present with one another. There are also paradoxes in the picture: the large windows showing the landscape outside, contrasting with the inside, which is ordered and clinical. In the middle you have an encounter between an elderly woman and a machine designed for companionship. They began speaking about picking flowers, about their favourite flowers – Waltraud is passionate about them, and Emma has an endless amount of knowledge due to her artificial intelligence. She can remember past conversations and recognise faces, too. Continue reading...

If charging speed is one of the major stumbling blocks preventing people from considering an electric vehicle, then ChargePoint's new Express Solo DC fast charger is a step in the right direction. It has been designed to be compact and work with DC power, making it easy to install in tight spaces. Oh, and it maxes out at a hefty 600 kW. As we saw with yesterday's news from CATL , EV batteries are getting more and more capable by the day. Increasing power can reduce charge times, as long as the battery can take it—BYD's new Blade battery can charge at up to 1.5 MW, and megawatt chargers are already common across China . Once again, you can see how badly the US is lagging in EVs. Most Tesla Superchargers max out at 250 kW, Electrify America stops at 350 kW, and even the new IONNA stations top out at 400 kW per plug . So the Express Solo's 600 kW—as powerful as a Formula E pit stop —sets a new benchmark, particularly for a standalone charger that could live in an urban gas station or convenience store parking lot. India, the world’s top importer of urea, has agreed to buy the nitrogen-based fertilizer at sharply higher prices than in a previous tender as the Middle East conflict disrupts supplies and pushes global benchmarks higher. Indian Potash Ltd. , which imports the crop nutrient for the government, will secure 1.5 million tons for delivery on the west coast at $935 per ton, while another 1 million tons will be delivered on the east coast at $959 per ton, according to people familiar with the matter. The offers are almost 90% higher than what India agreed to pay in a tender before the start of the conflict, said the people, who asked not to be named due to the commercial sensitivity of the information. Urea from the Middle East, a major supplier to the South Asian nation, was quoted at $490 a ton before the war began, according to Green Markets data. A fertilizer ministry spokesperson didn’t immediately respond to an email seeking comment. More than two dozen firms submitted offers last week, quoting rates between $935 and $1,136 a ton. This would be India’s first purchase since the US-Israel strikes on Iran and comes at a crucial period ahead of sowing for monsoon crops such as rice, corn and soybeans. The 2.5 million-ton tender has not formally been awarded, but is expected to be confirmed by Thursday, the people said. Read More: India Gets Fertilizer Offers Near $1,000 as War Stokes Costs The South Asian nation’s urea production relies heavily on natural gas, much of it from the Middle East and used to make ammonia, a key feedstock for the fertilizer. Supply disruptions following the effective closure of the Strait of Hormuz forced some regional producers to idle plants last month. Indian authorities are now in talks with major producers and exporters to secure direct shipments of nitrogen-based and phosphatic fertilizers. Global urea prices have surged since the war began, with nearly 45% of global supply moving through the Persian Gulf, according to Bloomberg Intell...
