Quantum Space has agreed to go public through a merger with special purpose acquisition company Inflection Point Acquisition Corp. VI ( IPFX ), seeking a listing on the Nasdaq under ticker symbol “QSPC.” The transaction, unanimously approved by the boards of both companies, is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to shareholder approval and customary closing conditions. Quantum Space has a pre-money equity value of $600M. Post-transaction, Quantum Space is expected to have an equity value of ~$1.2B, assuming no redemptions by Inflection Point's public shareholders. Existing Quantum Space equity holders are expected to retain ~50% ownership in the pro forma company. In addition to ~$253M held in Inflection Point's trust account (assuming no redemptions by the public stockholders), the transaction includes commitments for a convertible PIPE at $12 per share of approximately $300M. The PIPE is being led by Inflection Point Asset Management, with participation from additional new institutional investors. Quantum Space plans to use the proceeds to accelerate production of its Ranger platform and expand its manufacturing footprint. Inflection Point is backed by a SPAC sponsor team with experience taking technology companies public, including prior transactions involving Intuitive Machines ( LUNR ) and USA Rare Earth ( USAR ). Early site plans call for stores in communities such as Douglas and Willcox under the Allsup’s banner, reflecting the chain’s typical focus on smaller and midsize markets rather than dense urban cores. The sites follow Yesway's (YWSY) preferred large-format prototype of roughly 5,800 square feet, situated on multi-acre lots with extensive fueling positions and a heavy emphasis on prepared food, including the Allsup’s "World Famous Burrito" platform that has become a brand signature. During Yesway's ( YSWY ) first earnings conference call with analysts, CEO Thomas Trkla said the company feels good about Arizona. "It's got a very strong customer, strong receptivity to our food service program, and very good demographics that are very similar to New Mexico and West Texas. So we think it's a great state for us," he noted. In general, Yesway's ( YSWY ) growth strategy is to lean into new-to-industry builds while still selectively using acquisitions and raze-and-rebuild projects. Since 2021, the company has opened dozens of new stores via both self-funded and build-to-suit models, and by early 2023 it had scaled to more than 435 locations across nine states. The current five-year plan calls for opening about 130 additional stores through 2031. At the same time, Yesway ( YSWY ) has also been pruning its network, selling a block of underperforming Midwest stores as it reallocates capital toward higher-growth Sun Belt and Plains markets.
