The CEO share purchase adds a bullish signal for Nike, but investors may still face a slow rebound ahead.

At the time of the earlier thesis, markets were crashing due to tariff uncertainties. I had taken a Hold stance primarily because single stock based covered call writing strategies cannot be seen in isolation — the underlying moves do impact the total returns trajectory of the income variant. And GOOY did not look like a route for total returns, especially with Google already at the lows at that point. That picture has changed today. Alphabet Inc. ( GOOG ) has already rallied by ~100% over the past year. And it has been consolidating since October. Theoretically, that could be a time when covered calls become more relevant and can generate income on their own, even if the underlying goes nowhere. GOOY's structure shows a call spread setup which ensures sharp upside can be captured reasonably well. That means premium harvesting is compromised to an extent, but GOOY somewhat offsets that trade-off by an aggressive call coverage seen today. All in all, given where we are in the Google capex cycle and expectations of a flatter regime for the next few quarters, GOOY could be a decent tool to generate stable income. How GOOY is Set Up I downloaded GOOY's full holdings as of April 15th 2026, and saw around 6.6k contracts set up as a synthetic long exposure (selling puts and buying strikes at a $310 strike). That accounts for the fund's AUM too at ~$210 million (6.6 thousand contracts x 100 multiple x ~$320-$340 share price range now). The covered call layer is implemented as a spread. Calls at near strikes are written (across 3 strikes ranging from $317.5 to $322.5 - with ~70% of the writing activity at the farthest strike). For each call written, a call is bought $7.5 away. The firm said industrials ( XLI ) now trade at peak relative price-to-forward earnings, with buyside exposure at record levels. Investors are treating the sector as a bundled bet on defense spending, artificial intelligence-linked capital investment and energy sensitivity. Bonds tied to US prime auto loans are weakening, signaling that investors are getting slightly more worried about the strength of consumers as more borrowers fall behind on car debt payments. Risk premiums on bonds backed by prime auto loans have climbed to their highest level in around a year, or about 1.45 percentage point above a benchmark, according to recent data from JPMorgan Chase & Co. for securities rated in the BBB tier. That compares with 1.2 percentage point at the end of February. Just 0.42% of prime auto loans were delinquent at the end of February, but that level is around the highest since 2017, according to Fitch Ratings data . For subprime borrowers, the figure in that month was closer to 6.8%, near record highs. Rising delinquencies are weighing on ratings for some of the securities. In a little- noticed development in late March, S&P Global Ratings downgraded six classes of Carvana Co. bonds, citing higher-than-expected losses on the pools of prime loans. Downgrades of securities backed by pools of high-quality auto loans are rare. Before Carvana, the last one came around the start of the 2010s. Much of the weakness in loan performance comes from vehicles financed in 2022 and 2023, before many banks tightened their lending standards again after relaxing them during the period of super-low interest rates during the Covid-19 pandemic. “Lenders are still dealing with issues in car loans made during the pandemic, before the toll of higher interest rates really set in,” said Michael Hislop , an analyst at Curasset Capital Management. “About 70% of America’s GDP is household consumption,” he added. “You want to pay very close attention to anything that’s going on with prime borrowers.” A spokesperson for Carvana declined to comment. Since then, the stock has surged 21.9%, and so you can view this as a horrible "S ell" call from my side. When stocks move so strongly against my rating, it is not a reason for me to ignore things but to carefully look at what I may have missed. In this report, I will do that and update my price target for Radiant Logistics. Radiant Logistics Earnings Decline But Margins Remain Stable Radiant Logistics In the second quarter of FY26, revenues decreased 12.3% to $232.1 million, missing analyst estimates by $3.3 million. Operating income declined 14.2% to $7.5 million. Those are seemingly not impressive results, but they are also not horrible. We note that operating expenses declined more or less in line with revenues, with the cost of transportation, SG&A, and depreciation declining by 16.2%, 19.9%, and 29.2%, respectively, offset by higher personnel costs and operating partner commissions. As a result, operating margins were relatively stable at 3.22% compared to 3.3% a year ago. That is definitely a strong sign. In a depressed market, 3PL providers typically see margins of 1%-3%, and that is where Radiant Logistics is sitting right now. We also note that Radiant Logistics had non-recurring emergency air charter revenues in the comparable period last year. If we adjust for that, we get a better view of the recurring performance. Adjusted EBITDA grew from $6.1 million to $11.8 million, and that actually shows that the company did extremely well on its recurring business. The Mixed Picture From Middle East Disruptions With capacity tightening due to the Middle East reducing vessels and airplanes in operation, the capacity for shipping has tightened further, amplified by rerouting of ships and airplanes. Since then, the market’s gone all-in on the best-case scenario: supply issues getting fixed, the foundry side finally delivering and AI turning into a big growth driver. But if you look underneath, revenue, margins and profits aren’t really keeping up with those high hopes, if anything, they’re mostly flat or even a little behind what folks expected for late 2025. Intel Q1 Guidance Weakens For Q1 2026, Intel’s saying they’ll bring in $11.7 to $12.7 billion, aiming for about $12.2 billion in the middle and actually half a billion less than the same quarter last year. The main reason: this is when the foundry transition’s supply problems hit hardest. Gross margin’s supposed to come in at 34.5% (non-GAAP), which is nearly five points lower than a year ago. That’s part of a slide that’s been going on for a while, mostly because of all the start-up costs, trouble getting yields up and a product mix that’s shifted, more servers, fewer PCs. For earnings, they’re expecting basically nothing: $0.00 per share (non-GAAP), which is $0.13 less than Q1 2025. New York City’s $320 billion pension funds plan to invest $4 billion in affordable apartments, doubling their investment amid a city-wide housing crunch. The five funds will allocate $1 billion annually over four years to support office conversions, purchase mortgages and build and preserve affordable apartments, City Comptroller Mark Levine said Thursday in a statement . “We’ve advanced critical zoning changes, but without financing, housing doesn’t get built,” Levine said. New York is experiencing its worst housing deficit in more than a half-century. A 2024 city survey found the vacancy rate for rentals dropped to 1.4%, the lowest since 1968. Apartments viable for rent to lower-income New Yorkers were even scarcer. The proportion of units available for rent for less than $1,100 was a mere 0.4%. The city’s five pension funds for civil employees, police officers, teachers, firefighters and non-teaching school employees historically have fallen short of investing 2% of assets in an “economically targeted investment” program, which finances housing construction. At year-end, the funds had about $2.8 billion spread across a range of programs including an AFL-CIO trust that buys multi- and single-family mortgages and a city initiative that allows developers to lock in fixed-rate mortgages before construction starts.

Jeep-Maker Stellantis Signs AI Deal With Microsoft Stellantis and Microsoft are teaming up in a five‑year strategic deal to accelerate the deployment of AI across the automotive company's large portfolio of brands, including Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Jeep, Maserati, Peugeot, and others. The companies plan to develop more than 100 AI initiatives across customer care, product development, and operations. These include predictive maintenance, AI-assisted testing and validation, faster rollout of digital features, and personalized in-car services. "By leveraging AI‑driven insights from secure, encrypted data, Stellantis reaffirms its commitment to put customers at the center of everything it does," Stellantis wrote in a press release . Stellantis will build an AI-driven global cyber defense center covering its IT systems, connected vehicles, factories, and digital products, with the objective of detecting threats faster and improving resilience across its operations. One example of physical AI being integrated into vehicles is the one highlighted by the automaker.
