Spotify's "Mix" feature now has an option called "Smart Reorder" that can automatically sort users' playlists based on beats per minute (BPM) and key, organizing songs for the best flow from one track to the next. In addition to the company's GAAP profit missing by a wide margin , First Solar ( FSLR ) issued full-year revenue guidance that came in far short of Wall Street estimates, citing customer headwinds such as permitting delays under the Trump administration. The stock was off some 15% in Wednesday late morning trading, leaving it down 21% so far this year. Meanwhile, SA compiled a list of the top holdings in the Invesco Solar ETF ( TAN ) ranked by their Quant rating. Etsy looks even more attractive after the sale of a major business, according to some analysts. The e-commerce company announced Feb. 18 it agreed to sell agreed to sell Depop to eBay for $1.2 billion. The news sent shares soaring the next day by 9.3%. The gain put Etsy up more than 20% over the past week. However, shares remain lower by 3.8% for the year and flat over the past 12 months. But the Depop deal, coupled with strong fundamentals, has an some on the Street excited for what's next. "[Etsy is] one of the top five most visited websites, more than a lot of household names," BTIG analyst Marvin Fong told CNBC last week. "They get more visitors than a Target.com for instance, so it's an asset with a lot of potential. They have north of 86 million people globally are buying on Etsy." BTIG reiterated its buy rating on Etsy last week on the back of fourth-quarter results. Despite revenue slightly missing expectations , earnings per share of 92 cents topped an LSEG estimate of 84 cents per share. "Etsy posted solid results highlighted by better-than-expected buyer growth and a return to [gross merchandise sales] growth at core Etsy. While GMS growth was a scant +0.1%, it did nudge past estimates for zero growth," Fong wrote in a note. ETSY 3M mountain 3-month chart Fong did trim his price target to $65 from $74, though that's still 17% above Tuesday's close. Barclays also felt optimistic following earnings and the Depop announcement. The bank upgraded Etsy to overweight and raised its price target to $72 from $62, implying a 32% increase. Analyst Trevor Young wrote Etsy's rate of first-time buyers also improved. "We think this points to improving trends in the current quarter, which likely bodes well for these buyer metrics continuing to move in the right direction throughout 2026," he said. Young also thinks the Depop transaction gives Etsy a "fresh look." The Depop sale "refocuses the company on the core Etsy platform, and positions [Etsy] to accelerate buybacks ...

The latest artificial intelligence (AI) models are capable enough that it's fair to wonder whether they can begin to threaten, or even outright replace, many of the traditional software products out there. Many of the software-as-a-service (SaaS) stocks were market darlings for years due to their exceptional margins and growth. AI hasn't meaningfully impacted many software companies yet, but recent demonstrations by Anthropic's Claude are impressive enough to wonder about the coming years. As a result, investors have fled software stocks, sending almost every name you can think of plummeting. There hasn't been this much fear in the software industry in recent memory. While this is a growing industry with lots of demand, Fermi's personal problems need to be addressed, namely how it will find its first tenants to mitigate cash burn. Business Model Fermi is currently in the development phase, but it aspires to be a data center REIT, owning the land and providing the electrical capacity for tenants, who will themselves own and operate the data center assets on this land. Q3 2025 Investor Presentation Fermi's value-add is not only just developing the real estate to have the necessary electrical infrastructure; they actively seek out power sources to connect to the site. The idea is to create an asset that is energy-efficient, scales well, and carries little risk of outages for the data center tenants. Q3 2025 Investor Presentation It is currently embarking on Project Matador, which entails the development of 5,236 acres in Texas for these data center purposes. The long-term ambition is to have 11 GW of capacity. In the registration statement (pg. 24) for their IPO last fall, management highlighted the following about how they would operate once initial assets are leased and operating: Triple-net lease model $1.5B in annual revenue per GW $500M in operating expenses The majority of expenses would be fuel purchases NOI per GW would be about $1B As such, Fermi has the potential to be a very high-margin and lucrative REIT. Financial Picture To get an idea of how risky Fermi is in pursuing these goals, we need to assess their financial condition while they are in their pre-revenue phase. VioNettaStock/E+ via Getty Images BNP Paribas turned more constructive on parts of the U.S. solar supply chain Wednesday, upgrading Array Technologies ( ARRY ) and Shoals Technologies ( SHLS ), citing signs that utility-scale solar installations could far exceed industry expectations through the end of the decade. Analyst Moses Sutton said year-to-date data points including grid expansion, partnerships between hyperscalers and developers, bullish commentary at the ERCOT Market Summit and updated EIA 860 data suggest U.S. solar growth is poised to outpace both consensus forecasts and BNP’s already above-Street estimates. Cumulative utility-scale solar capacity additions between 2026 and 2030 could exceed 250 gigawatts, compared with broader industry and Wall Street expectations of 150 to 200 gigawatts, according to the bank. Concerns around permitting, Foreign Entity of Concern tax equity constraints and engineering procurement and construction capacity appear overstated, Sutton wrote. That scale of growth would support not only leading original equipment manufacturers but also smaller balance of system suppliers. Array upgraded to Outperform BNP upgraded Array Technologies ( ARRY ) to Outperform from Neutral and raised its price target to $19 from $9. The firm sees Array ( ARRY ) as a key beneficiary of faster utility-scale deployment, assuming it maintains stable market share and generates solid revenue from non-tracker products. Sutton models 2026 earnings per share of $1.00, above the Street’s $0.84 estimate, and expects earnings to exceed $1.20 by 2028, roughly 20% above consensus.
