Morsa Images/DigitalVision via Getty Images Thesis My view on Kamada Ltd. ( KMDA ) would remain pretty balanced. The company is still showing us a solid underlying demand with strong profitability. The recent FDA approval of their in-house RFFIT laboratory is also a meaningful catalyst that should help their vertical integration. It essentially removes a key operational bottleneck for their core rabies franchise. However, we have multiple near-term headwinds, particularly margin pressure and execution risk around growth initiatives, with some geopolitical uncertainty that tempers the upside here. So as a result, I currently maintain my hold rating, as I’d like to see some clearer evidence of sustained margin recovery first, with consistent execution before turning more constructive. 1Q26 Recap As a quick recap on the 1Q26 results last month, Kamada showed us a fundamentally stable but also somewhat constrained business, with that constraint coming mainly from some timing effects and margin pressure. However, they did still manage to maintain a strong profitability profile. Revenue came in at about $45.2 million, which was a modest 3% year-over-year increase from $44.0 million. I felt this showed a steady but not accelerated top-line growth, with growth primarily coming from some higher sales of key products like Kedrab. There were also some contributions from the distribution segment. The more telling figure here has to be profitability, with adjusted EBITDA reaching $11.6 million, which was unchanged year-over-year but actually represents a pretty robust 26% margin. Keep in mind, this is actually quite high for a biopharma company and does signal some strong operational efficiency. Kamada Ltd. As for gross profit, things here declined to $19.1 million from $20.7 million, with margins compressing from 47% to 42%. I think we can put this down to an unfavorable product and geographic sales mix. It seemed there was a higher proportion of lower-margin products or region...

Opponents of the $1.8 billion fund proposed to settle President Donald Trump ’s lawsuit against the Internal Revenue Service say they aren’t abandoning their court fights following reports that US officials may drop the plan. The Trump administration on Monday privately signaled it was pausing the so-called anti-weaponization fund, Bloomberg and other media reported, but the Justice Department hasn’t announced a formal cancellation of the settlement. The administration is also proceeding with a separate provision to bar federal agencies from investigations or claims related to past tax returns of the president, his family members and his businesses, Bloomberg reported on Tuesday. The Justice Department and the president immediately faced pushback after announcing the fund and tax provisions to settle Trump’s $10 billion lawsuit against the IRS over a leak of his tax information several years ago. Government watchdog groups and other administration opponents said they plan to continue their lawsuits over the settlement, despite the headlines about dropping the fund. Meanwhile, Trump and the Justice Department are facing a court investigation into how the agreement came about by US District Judge Kathleen Williams in Miami, who was presiding over Trump’s lawsuit against the IRS when the deal was announced. Williams set a June 12 deadline for Trump’s lawyers to respond to “grievous” allegations raised by a group of former federal judges that the case involved “fraud” because the president controlled both sides. Two of the former judges involved in that legal fight, J. Michael Luttig and Nancy Gertner , said in a statement that while they are “gratified” by the reports that officials may be dropping the fund, “the devil is always in the details.” “Even if we fully go back to the status quo that in no way obviates the concerns that Judge Williams has raised about what has already taken place,” Luttig and Gertner said. “We hope the court will continue its inquiry.” Spokes...

asbe Optical networking stocks jumped on Tuesday as Nvidia ( NVDA ) CEO Jensen Huang praised Marvell Technology ( MRVL ) and said it could be the next semiconductor company to reach a $1T valuation. “When you take a computing problem, and you disaggregate it into a lot of parts, and you distribute it across the entire data center, what’s necessary is connectivity,” Huang said at Computex, the annual computing industry event held in Taiwan. “That’s the reason why Matt’s doing so well,” Huang added, referring to Marvell CEO Matt Murphy. “That’s the reason why Marvel is so essential.” Marvell shares jumped nearly 30% on Tuesday, while Lumentum ( LITE ), Coherent ( COHR ), and Corning ( GLW ) gained 13%, 17.5%, and 13%, respectively. Ciena ( CIEN ) also rose sharply on the back of Huang's comments and added more than 8%. Other gainers in the space include Applied Optoelectronics ( AAOI ), IPG Photonics ( IPGP ), and Fabrinet ( FN ), which added 7%, 6%, and 11%, respectively. Broadcom ( AVGO ), which also has an optical networking business, gained more than 3% on Tuesday. In addition to Huang's comments, investors may be rushing into optical networking companies, which have become crucial for the artificial intelligence build-out boom, after Alphabet ( GOOG ) ( GOOGL ) said it would raise $80B from investors to help pay for its AI-related capital spending. Fortunately, you can stock up on the cheap, so long as you like the color blue. The Wonderboom 4 is available in blue at Amazon for $51.49, and at Walmart and Best Buy for $51.99 ($28 off its regular price). That’s the lowest price we’ve seen yet for the waterproof speaker, with most of the other color options selling at a slightly higher (but still discounted) $69.99. Ultimate Ears Wonderboom 4 The Wonderboom 4 might feature a compact design, but it still delivers big sound for its diminutive size. It also carries an IP67 rating, meaning it’s both water- and dust-resistant (it can even float if you need it to). Where to Buy: $79.99 $51.49 at Amazon $79.99 $51.99 at Walmart $79.99 $51.99 at Best Buy Despite the Wonderboom 4’s compact size, the speaker sounds great, and is IP67-rated, meaning it can survive being submerged in water for a while. Although, its floatable design means that it’ll quickly return to the surface so you can put it back on dry land (it’s not meant to be listened to while in the water). If you have two of them, like me, they can be wirelessly paired together for stereo sound. With up to 14 hours of battery life per charge, the speaker will likely outlast your long summer outings. Other deals to consider Hollow Knight: Silksong , the long-awaited sequel to Team Cherry’s 2017 metroidvania, is discounted for the first time on the Nintendo eShop , bringing the price for the Switch and Switch 2 digital versions down to just $15.99 ($4 off). The difficult sequel pits players against relentless bosses and demanding platforming sections, and is great for anyone who loves a challenging side-scroller. Read our review . In Latin America, Brazil's central bank modestly cut interest rates by 25 bps while lifting its 2026 inflation forecast from 3.40% to 3.90% due to rising energy prices. In EMEA, Saudi Arabia surged as Brent crude eclipsed US$100 per barrel, offsetting a 50% decline in oil exports in March due to Iran's blockade on shipments through the Strait of Hormuz. To alleviate global oil shortages, Saudi Arabia began diverting over four million barrels per day (bpd) of oil to its Yanbu port in the Red Sea but still well below the roughly 20 million bpd that previously flowed through the Strait of Hormuz. South Africa's government signed a framework agreement for a new trade deal with China, seeking new avenues for trade in response to US tariffs. In Asia, China set its 2026 GDP growth target at 4.5% – 5%, the lowest since the early 1990s. Lackluster consumer spending, weak inflation, property market strains, and trade tensions with the US continued to weigh on the economy. Taiwan signed a large trade deal with the US, and the central bank raised its GDP growth forecast for 2026 to 7.28% thanks to booming technology exports. In India, soaring oil prices darkened the economic outlook for the world's third-largest crude oil importer. Performance Summary The Hartford Emerging Markets Equity Fund (I Share)( HERIX ) outperformed the MSCI Emerging Markets Index Net during the quarter. Security selection was the primary driver of relative outperformance. Strong selection in information technology, consumer discretionary and financials was modestly offset by selection in energy.
