Cantor Fitzgerald has downgraded Gossamer Bio ( GOSS ) to neutral from overweight citing uncertainty in the regulatory path for seralutinib as a treatment for pulmonary arterial hypertension. The investment bank's decision comes after topline results released in February from the phase 3 PROSERA study were a disappointment after the primary endpoint did not meet statistical significance. Gossamer "does have some compelling data, and the drug clearly shows a solid signal," wrote analyst Olivia Brayer Saunders. "But it's hard for us to get any level of conviction in whether they have a strong case for a path to commercialization." The company has asked for a Type C meeting with the US FDA that should come in June. Saunders added that will likely mean clarity on seralutinib's path forward in July. Stockyme/iStock via Getty Images By Elior Manier Another week, another absolutely chaotic session all across the market board. This morning came with some much better news for the conflict. US-Iran talks are picking up for the first time since the end of February, and that's creating a crazy shift in markets, to say the least. After another gap above $100 per barrel in WTI ( CL1:COM ) at the Globex open, oil prices have been tumbling to lows not seen since March 11. WTI Oil 1H Chart - March 23, 2026 (Source: TradingView) WTI is down around 12% on the session, back to ~$88 after the news. Brent ( CO1:COM ) is also back below $100 for the first time since March 13. The conflict isn't going to end suddenly, but this marks a flashy cooling in tensions, especially after recent fears of escalation over the weekend, with Saudi Arabia expressing heavy discontent with the latest Iranian attacks on Riyadh. The US also threatened to strike power plants in Iran as retaliation for the continued pressure on the Strait of Hormuz. The deadline for such is Monday evening, but this could now be averted. This culminated in a re-start of talks between the US and Iran, as announced by President Trump in a morning Truth Social post and public address , and led to waves of crazy swings around all asset classes. Gold dove to $4,100, now bouncing higher Gold 2H Chart - March 23, 2026 (Source: TradingView) Gold ( XAUUSD:CUR ), along with the entire metals space, has been subject to wild volatility throughout the past weeks. After failing to regain its early-2026 $5,600 record despite the conflict, large profit-taking culminated in a significant price tumble of close to 25% to $4,101. It did rebound sharply back to around $4,400, a key momentum level for upcoming action (neutral/bullish above, bearish below). The culprit was the renewed inflationary fears that dragged global assets lower. But those are significantly easing as we speak, with the recent moves in energy commodities. Current Sess...

Brazilian Lawmaker Wears Blackface To Mock Transgenderism Authored by Ben Sellers via Headline USA , A Brazilian legislator last week mocked one of LGBT activists’ core arguments in favor of transgenderism with a simple demonstration during a state assembly session in São Paulo. Faviana Bolsonaro, a 32-year-old female member of the country’s right-leaning Liberal Party, took the dais on Wednesday to protest the appointment of Erika Hilton, a biological-male transgender activist, to the Chamber of Deputies, equivalent to the U.S. House of Representatives. Hilton, who is black, is a member of the opposing Socialism and Liberty Party. A viral video showed that Bolsonaro (who changed her name in solidarity with former conservative president Jair Bolsonaro , no relation) applied blackface during her speech to underscore the point that wishful thinking could not change one’s inherent identity. “I am a white woman. I’ve had the privileges of a white person my whole life,” she said, according to a translation from the original Portuguese. “Now, at 32, I decide to paint myself, to disguise myself as a black person … and I ask you: did I become black? Do I feel the pain that black people have suffered? … No.” This post is misleading, not because you must agree with Fabiana Bolsonaro, but because it distorts what she actually said. Here are her own words, translated as faithfully as possible: “I am a white woman. I’ve had the privileges of a white person my whole life.” “Now, at… — Jose Alfredo 🇧🇷🔺 (@josealfredobh) March 20, 2026 Biographical details are unclear as to when and if Hilton fully transitioned to “female,” although reports suggest that the former sex worker has been living as a woman since at least 2015, when Hilton’s LGBT activism first rose to prominence. Hilton and another transgender legislator, Duda Salabert, both entered the national parliament following Brazil’s highly controversial 2022 election, the equivalent of the 2020 election in the U.S., in which far...

In a CNBC interview, Huneke, who oversees $1.9T in assets, said the firm has cautioned investors to increase liquidity and reduce portfolio duration amid dramatic market swings. “There’s so much volatility ( VIX ),” Huneke said. “We’ve cautioned our clients to maybe be a little bit more conservative, a little bit more liquid, take a little duration out of the portfolio potentially, but it’s really hard to be tactical when stuff is changing so dramatically.” Huneke noted that while the earnings outlook heading into 2026 was strong, recent events have clouded the picture. He acknowledged that predicting outcomes has become exceptionally difficult given the wide range of possible scenarios, particularly regarding the situation in Iran. Despite the uncertainty, Huneke identified opportunities in the software sector ( IGV ), particularly within private credit ( VPC ). He said fears about AI’s ( AIEQ ) impact on software companies may be overblown. “We don’t believe that there is a mass casualty or mass extinction event happening in software,” Huneke said, adding that institutional clients are increasingly viewing current conditions as an opportunity to allocate into private credit. Sundry Photography/iStock Editorial via Getty Images Introduction & Investment Thesis After explaining how Claude Code Security won’t disrupt Cloudflare (NYSE: NET ) at the end of February and taking advantage of the selloff by initiating a position in the company’s stock, I am now up over 13% on my position. Over the last month, Cloudflare has notably outperformed all other cybersecurity companies, along with the S&P 500, as can be seen below. SA: Price performance of cybersecurity stocks on a YTD basis Aside from the general sentiment improving in software, one of the main catalysts to the stock’s outperformance has been the onset of the Iran war, which has investors flocking toward cybersecurity names as a form of hedge. At the same time, the increasing probability of more cyberattacks on banking, infrastructure, and software has companies and government organizations reorienting their budgets towards more cybersecurity spending, particularly in endpoint security and identity validation. In this post, I will explain three possible trajectories for Cloudflare's stock and how I plan on increasing my position across these scenarios while reiterating my “buy” rating. Evolution of My Thesis on Cloudflare The cybersecurity complex has been highly volatile in 2026. Starting with the launch of Claude Code Security in February, investors feared that demand for cybersecurity solutions from CrowdStrike ( CRWD ), Cloudflare, Zscaler ( ZS ), and Rubrik (NYSE: RBRK ) would fall off a cliff if vulnerabilities could be addressed at the application codebase. In my post from late February, Cybersecurity's Anthropic Headwind—This Makes No Sense, I explained why investor fears were misplaced, as cybersecurity is not a standalone solution, where companies like Palo Alto Networks (NASDAQ: PANW ) and CrowdStrike have been benefiting from vendor consolidation, while Cloudflare, Zscaler, and Rubrik offer solutions that do not overlap with Claude Code Security. Particularly, when it comes...

(RTTNews) - Treasuries showed a strong move to the upside during trading on Monday, regaining ground after moving sharply lower over the past few sessions. Bond prices gave back ground after an early surge but bounced back firmly into positive territory. Subsequently, the yield on the benchmark ten-year note, which moves opposite of its price, slid 5.7 basis points to 4.334 percent. The pullback by the ten-year yield came after it skyrocketed to a nearly eight-month closing high during last Friday's session. Treasuries rebounded in reaction to President Donald Trump backing down from his threats to "obliterate" Iran's power plants unless they fully reopen the Strait of Hormuz. In a post on Truth Social, Trump said the U.S. and Iran have had "very good and productive conversations regarding a complete and total resolution of our hostilities in the Middle East." Trump said he has subsequently instructed the War Department to postpone all military strikes on Iran's power plants and energy infrastructure for a five-day period. The president later told CNBC's Joe Kernen that the U.S. is "very intent on making a deal with Iran" after previously claiming he wasn't interested in a deal. Trump had threated to "obliterate" Iran's power plants if they didn't reopen the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours. Iran warned it would strike energy and water infrastructure across the Gulf in retaliation if Trump followed through with his threat. Treasuries gave back some ground in late morning trading as Iran's state-run media said the country's foreign ministry has denied negotiating with the U.S. Trump told reporters the U.S. is speaking with a "top person" in Iran who he believes if the "most respected" but acknowledged it is not the new supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei. Shares of biopharma outfit ImmunityBio (NASDAQ: IBRX) are rising firmly again today, following through on last week's effort to rekindle the erratic rally that's been underway since early January. As of 3:15 p.m. ET Monday, in fact, shares are up 11.2%, mostly in response to late last week's announcement that Macau's regulatory body has approved the company's oncology drug Anktiva® for certain forms of bladder cancer. It is believed that this approval will open the door to approvals in other countries in and around the region, including China. IBRX shares were already enjoying a tailwind, boosted by last week's news that the United States' National Comprehensive Cancer Network (or NCCN®) recently updated its 2026 clinical treatment guidelines to include the combination of ImmunityBio's Anktiva and Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) as an appropriate treatment for patients with certain forms of bladder cancer (NMIBC) that aren't responsive to BCG treatments alone. Now Macau's regulators see the same potential for Anktiva and BCG as a therapy for this sliver of bladder cancer patients, recently approving this combination of drugs for the exact same patient scenario.
