At Holdings Channel, we have reviewed the latest batch of the 25 most recent 13F filings for the 03/31/2025 reporting period, and noticed that Goldman Sachs Group Inc (Symbol: GS) was held by 11 of these funds. When hedge fund managers appear to be thinking alike, we find it is a good idea to take a closer look. Before we proceed, it is important to point out that 13F filings do not tell the whole story, because these funds are only required to disclose their long positions with the SEC, but are not required to disclose their short positions. A fund making a bearish bet against a stock by shorting calls, for example, might also be long some amount of stock as they trade around their overall bearish position. This long component could show up in a 13F filing and everyone might assume the fund is bullish, but this tells only part of the story because the bearish/short side of the position is not seen. Having given that caveat, we believe that looking at groups of 13F filings can be revealing, especially when comparing one holding period to another. Below, let's take a look at the change in GS positions, for this latest batch of 13F filers: In terms of shares owned, we count 5 of the above funds having increased existing GS positions from 12/31/2024 to 03/31/2025, with 6 having decreased their positions. Looking beyond these particular funds in this one batch of most recent filers, we tallied up the GS share count in the aggregate among all of the funds which held GS at the 03/31/2025 reporting period (out of the 2,217 we looked at in total). We then compared that number to the sum total of GS shares those same funds held back at the 12/31/2024 period, to see how the aggregate share count held by hedge funds has moved for GS. We found that between these two periods, funds increased their holdings by 3,517,051 shares in the aggregate, from 9,391,429 up to 12,908,480 for a share count increase of approximately 37.45%. Here's how much more you can earn this year without impacting your Social Security benefits. If you haven't reached full retirement age (FRA) yet but have claimed Social Security benefits, there's a little good news this year. Whether you're looking for a little extra money to help you keep pace with inflation or would simply be bored without a job, working (part-time or full-time) recently became a little easier. That's due to a rule change for 2026 that allows you to earn more money before the Social Security Administration (SSA) withholds any benefits. Here's how it works. If you haven't reached FRA yet For most workers today, full retirement age is 67. If you began collecting Social Security before hitting FRA, there's a limit on how much you can make before Social Security begins withholding a portion of your monthly benefits. The good news? You can now earn up to $24,480 annually before the SSA will withhold $1 for every $2 in excess of that amount. That's an increase of more than $1,000 over last year's maximum earnings threshold. Let's say you work part-time and earn $34,480 ($10,000 above the earnings limit). The SSA will reduce your benefit by $1 for every $2 you're over the limit, meaning you'll receive $5,000 less in benefits ($10,000/$2 = $5,000). While you won't receive the $5,000 you earned in the year it was earned, it will find its way back to you. That's because when you reach FRA, the SSA will recalculate your monthly benefit and add any funds withheld due to working back into your benefits. Infant formula batch recall over toxin discovery Parents in the UK are being warned not to feed their babies using a particular batch of Aptamil First Infant Formula made by Danone. The company is recalling the product because it contains a toxin, called cereulide, which can cause vomiting. The Food Standards Agency (FSA) says the only batch affected is the 800g pack coded EXP 31-10-2026 - no other batches are at risk. Customers who still have some of this batch at home can return it to the shop where they bought it for a full refund with or without a receipt, says the FSA.

Luminar received an even higher bid for its lidar business as a court-run auction concluded on Monday, according to a new filing in the company’s bankruptcy case. MicroVision, a Redmond, Washington-based company that has been developing its own lidar sensors, submitted a $33 million bid, eclipsing the $22 million that Quantum Computing Inc. laid out a few weeks ago as the so-called “stalking horse” bidder. (Quantum Computing Inc. had upped its bid to $28 million but apparently was unwilling or unable to go higher.) The sale of Luminar’s lidar business will now be subject to approval by the judge in the bankruptcy case. A hearing is slated for Tuesday afternoon. MicroVision could not immediately be reached for comment. It’s not clear if Luminar founder and former CEO Austin Russell submitted a bid for his company’s lidar assets. Russell, through his new venture Russell AI Labs, tried to buy the company outright in October 2025 before it filed for bankruptcy, and he expressed an interest on making a bid during the bankruptcy process. Representatives for Russell did not respond to a request for comment. That said, Russell and Luminar spent the first month of the bankruptcy case fighting over a subpoena. The company has said it is still evaluating whether to take legal action against Russell, tied to his resignation last May, which followed a board-run ethics inquiry.
