Growth levers of user expansion, broadening monetization & ad placement 2. AI increasing targeting of ads, resulting in pricing and engagement increases 3. Low valuation offers a solid margin of safety. The stock has done well since, but it is too early to perform a meaningful performance assessment. More importantly, Meta reported their Q4 and thereby FY2025 earnings today in after-market trading, giving us an opportunity to test and potentially change or expand this thesis. The stock is up 8.5% in response, which is already a good sign. Financials Meta reported Q4 revenue of $59.9B, up roughly 24% YoY, driven by continued strength in advertising demand across its Family of Apps. Revenue came in clearly ahead of consensus expectations of about $58.3–58.4B, representing a beat of a little over $1.5B. Operating income was $24.7B, implying an operating margin of 41%. Diluted EPS was $8.88, increasing around 11% YoY. This also exceeded analyst estimates, which were in the low $8.20 range. In my view, these results highlight Meta’s ability to sustain strong top-line growth and profit expansion at scale, even as the company ramps up AI and infrastructure investment. META IR Organic growth helps lead the way, as Meta’s Family of Apps (Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp) continues to scale, with family daily active people around 3.58 billion, up mid-single digits year-over-year.
