Gervonta Davis, a three-division world champion and one of boxing’s biggest stars, was taken into custody in Miami on Wednesday, nearly two weeks after police issued an arrest warrant accusing the fighter of battery, false imprisonment and attempted kidnapping in connection with an alleged domestic violence incident last fall. Miami Gardens police said Davis was apprehended following a multi-day surveillance operation conducted across three counties in coordination with the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force. Authorities said he was arrested without incident in Miami’s Design District and booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center late Wednesday night. Photograph: Miami-Dade County Corrections According to police, the warrant stemmed from an alleged confrontation on 27 October at a strip club in Miami Gardens, where a woman who had previously been in a relationship with Davis was working as a VIP cocktail server. Investigators allege that Davis confronted the woman inside the club, forcibly took her into a back room and assaulted her before restraining her and escorting her outside. A police report states that Davis allegedly grabbed the woman by her hair and throat while making a threatening remark, then led her to a parking area before releasing her. The woman later sought help from coworkers and contacted police. Officers documented visible injuries, including bruising to her arm, according to authorities. The woman told investigators she first met Davis in 2022 and that the two were involved in an intimate relationship for several months in 2025. She said the relationship ended roughly a month before the alleged incident and that she had cut off communication with him. In addition to filing a police report, the woman initiated a civil lawsuit against Davis, alleging multiple counts including battery, false imprisonment and kidnapp...

tupungato/iStock Editorial via Getty Images Investment Thesis As usual, I like to be very clear about my stance right from the start, and I’m currently at HOLD on Banco Bradesco ( BBD ). The bank is clearly moving in the right direction, but I still think it’s too early to get aggressive with the stock. The 3Q25 results show a real operational improvement. Recurring net income came in at R$ 6.2 billion, and ROAE reached 14.7%, extending the gradual recovery trend the bank has been delivering over the past few quarters. On the risk side (which is where I tend to be extra demanding when it comes to banks), the signals remain far healthier than in the recent past. Non-performing loans above 90 days were stable at 4.1% in September, and the cost of credit edged up only marginally to 3.3%, largely explained by specific reinforcements in wholesale banking and the Banco John Deere consolidation. On top of that, the restructured loan portfolio continues to shrink, which is exactly the kind of balance-sheet “cleanup” that improves earnings quality over time. There’s also one area I particularly like here, which is Insurance. This business remains a very strong pillar for the group, posting R$ 5.7 billion in quarterly results and a 22.4% ROAE. That significantly reduces the bank’s reliance on the traditional banking operation alone to support the investment case. That said, my main reason for not upgrading this to a BUY is that profitability is still not high enough for me to confidently bet on a sustained re-rating. With large banks, I like to see ROAE improving not just because of the cycle or tactical optimizations, but through a combination of: (1) a better credit mix, (2) a genuinely tamed cost of risk, and (3) operating expenses running on a more predictable track. What keeps my enthusiasm in check is the fact that Bradesco is still investing heavily, and expenses remain pressured on a year-over-year basis — even though there are signs of control once you adjust for spe...

Gary Black Paints Mixed Picture In a post on the social media platform X on Wednesday, Gary Black of The Future Fund LLC shared his insights on the earnings. The investor outlined that he expects Tesla shares to "rise by 2-3%" once the markets open following the earnings call. Ross Gerber Says Its The End Of An Era Meanwhile, Ross Gerber, co-founder of Gerber Kawasaki, also shared his views on the earnings, calling it the "end of an era" for Tesla as the company announced a shift towards autonomous vehicles. He also shared that Tesla's transition from manufacturing electric vehicles to a "transportation as a service," as well as the humanoid robots revenue model, would require "some time and a ton of money." Gene Munster Says Robotaxis Progressing Well "FSD is making more progress than people realize," Munster said, adding that the system had made a "remarkable improvement" over the past six-month period. Munster also added that Tesla’s decision to offer FSD subscriptions only would take auto margins down to 16%. On Robotaxis, the investor shared that Tesla's confidence in the FSD system has led to the company announcing Robotaxi expansion into multiple cities this year. Munster shared that market estimates indicate a 7% increase in deliveries for Tesla this year, though the automaker did not reveal any details about deliveries. "My sense is that it's gonna be flat-ish. As long as it's flat, it's gonna be positive." He also shared that Tesla was focusing on higher volume models, which was a positive for Tesla. Qualcomm Incorporated (NASDAQ:QCOM) is among Goldman Sachs’ top semiconductor stock picks. On January 21, 2026, Qualcomm Incorporated (NASDAQ:QCOM) said it plans to release its first-quarter fiscal 2026 financial results on February 4, 2026. Qualcomm (QCOM) Faces Industry Headwinds as It Expands Beyond Smartphones Earlier on January 16, Qualcomm Incorporated announced a quarterly cash dividend of $0.89 per share, to be paid on March 26 this year. All shareholders on record at the close of business March 5 will receive the payment. The new payment equates to an annualized payout of $3.56 per share. This is a dividend yield of roughly 2.2% based on the stock price at the time of the announcement. And the payment is the same amount Qualcomm has paid in recent quarters, including the September 2025 payout. Prior to 2025, Qualcomm’s dividend was $0.85 per share, and the increase to $0.89 was approved by the board in March 2025. In a different update, on January 14, RBC Capital started covering Qualcomm with a Neutral Sector Perform rating and a $180 price target. The firm noted that Qualcomm has experienced several struggles recently. It pointed out that the company’s stock has lagged behind the broader semiconductor index over the past year, and that it was hit by slow smartphone sales, Apple’s move to make its own modems, and no strong story yet in data center AI. As a result, RBC expects limited overall revenue growth for Qualcomm in the coming two years. The analysts pointed out that losses in market share at big clients like Apple and Samsung will likely cancel out strong progress in automotive chips, extended reality (XR) devices, and Internet of Things (IoT) products. Qualcomm Incorporated (NASDAQ:QCOM) is a semiconductor company. It develops and supplies wireless technology solutions, including system-on-chip products, modems, and processors used in smartphones, automotive, and IoT devices. While we acknowledge the potential of QCOM as an investment, we believe c...

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMD) is among Goldman Sachs’ top semiconductor stock picks. On January 21, Bernstein raised the price target for Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMD) to $225 from $200 and kept a Market Perform rating. Stacy Rasgon, the analyst on record, said that AMD is pushing ahead in AI, though she noted that OpenAI is currently the only big-name customer announced for AMD’s Helios chips. How Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) Is Positioning Itself for AI Growth and Server Demand Rasgon stated that with OpenAI’s rollout of these chips set to begin later in the year, she sees reduced short-term pressure on AMD’s AI goals. This breathing room, she said, allows the market to assess the full extent of AMD’s AI potential. It also creates a period where investors might focus more on positive developments in the company’s main operations. And amid the wait for broader AI adoption, Rasgon anticipates gains for AMD from robust server demand and increasing market share. This could serve as bright spots and help sustain investor interest in the near term, Rasgon noted. Separately, on the same day, January 21, KeyBanc Capital Markets doubled down on its positive view of AMD. The firm reaffirmed its Overweight rating on AMD stock and held a price target of $270, citing solid momentum in server CPUs and the latest Turin generation chips. KeyBanc stressed the strong push from big cloud providers, who are already locking in capacity for 2026. This leaves AMD’s server CPUs nearly sold out through the end of the year, the firm noted, and pointed out that this is a sign of lasting strength in this key area. Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMD) is a semiconductor company. It designs and produces central processing units, graphics processing units, and adaptive system-on-chip products used in personal computers, gaming consoles, data centers, and embedded systems. Micron Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:MU) is among Goldman Sachs’ top semiconductor stock picks. On January 27, Micron Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:MU) broke ground on a new advanced wafer fabrication facility at its existing NAND manufacturing complex in Singapore. The project represents a planned investment of about $24 billion over 10 years. Wafer production is expected to begin in the second half of 2028. The new fab is intended to support growing demand for NAND technology driven by AI and data-centric applications. Micron (MU) Expands Manufacturing Footprint as AI Drives Long-Term Memory Demand The double-story facility will become part of Micron’s NAND Center of Excellence in Singapore. It will support future technology transitions and long-term storage demand. The investment is expected to create around 1,600 jobs. It will also complement Micron’s nearby HBM advanced packaging facility, strengthening manufacturing synergies. The fab will follow Micron’s sustainability standards and support workforce development and innovation in Singapore. On January 22, Stifel initiated coverage on Micron Technology, Inc. with an Outperform rating. Stifel based this initiation on the belief that the memory sector is entering a multi-year upcycle driven by AI demand and supply constraints, and that memory is becoming a critical bottleneck in AI systems. The firm noted that as the second-largest memory supplier, Micron is positioned to benefit significantly. Stifel expects the company’s high-bandwidth memory (HBM) revenue to grow by 164% in fiscal 2026 and 40% in fiscal 2027. It also noted advantages for DDR and QLC NAND from AI trends. But Stifel identified several risks, the key one being that Samsung is emerging as a more formidable HBM competitor. Others include elevated capital expenditures shifting value to equipment suppliers, and potential loosening of dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) supply-demand balance. On valuation, the firm observed that Micron trades at approximately ...
