Investors in Amylyx Pharmaceuticals Inc (Symbol: AMLX) saw new options become available today, for the September 18th expiration. One of the key inputs that goes into the price an option buyer is willing to pay, is the time value, so with 234 days until expiration the newly available contracts represent a possible opportunity for sellers of puts or calls to achieve a higher premium than would be available for the contracts with a closer expiration. In early trading on Tuesday, shares of CoStar Group topped the list of the day's best performing components of the Nasdaq 100 index, trading up 6.0%. Year to date, CoStar Group registers a 3.7% gain. When Apple stops supporting older iPhones and iPads with the latest version of iOS or iPadOS, it usually isn't the end of the line—Apple keeps releasing new security-only patches for those devices for another year or two, keeping them usable while their hardware is still reasonably capable. Once those updates dry up, it's rare for Apple to revisit those older operating systems, but the company does sometimes make exceptions. That was the case yesterday, when the company released a batch of updates for long-retired iOS and iPadOS versions that otherwise hadn't seen a new patch in months or years. To do so in an indexed manner, it is worth looking at the Schwab Short-Term U.S. Treasury ETF ( SCHO ). As its name suggests, the ETF provides exposure to the short end of the U.S. Treasury bond curve, specifically to bonds with maturities between 1 and 3 years. Its main objective is to replicate, before fees and expenses, the performance of the Bloomberg US Treasury 1–3 Year Index. This indicates that the ETF is managed passively, as it replicates the aforementioned index using the representative sampling technique. My first approach to the investment thesis is to look at the ETF's performance and how we can use it in an investment portfolio. As I mentioned earlier, since this is a fixed-income ETF that invests in bonds with short maturities, we position it as a complement to the fixed-income portion of the portfolio, in the lower-risk segment. This should not exceed 10% of the total portfolio. With regard to the ETF's performance, the latest SEC Yield data gives us a return of (3.53%). If we look at the current yield on 12-month Treasury bills , we see that it has been 3.40%. The difference between the two is 0.13% in favor of the ETF yield. What we need to see is whether that excess annual return offsets the duration risk assumed in the case of the ETF. From my point of view, and for defensive purposes and to “park” liquidity, the spread we have calculated is too narrow today, as even a slight movement in short-term rates could easily eliminate the extra carry offered by SCHO. Therefore, I recommend selling the ETF and transferring that allocation to 9-12 month Treasury bills. The yield spread does not justify the extra duration risk assumed by the ETF, so we are selling. A lack of innovative new models, and the relatively high price of Tesla's electric vehicles compared to competitors eroded its brand value, said Brand Finance CEO David Haigh, as did CEO Elon Musk 's continued "overreach" into geopolitics, and his lack of focus on his autos business. Tesla's brand value now stands at an estimated $27.61 billion, Brand Finance said in its 2026 ranking. That's down from $43 billion at the start of 2025, $58.3 billion in 2024 and a peak of $66.2 billion in January 2023. Based in London, Brand Finance analyzes thousands of companies' financials, looking at revenue, licensing agreements, margins and other hard data, and combines those data points with results from comprehensive consumer surveys to estimate the monetary value of brands. 中国国家主席习近平（右）星期二（1月27日）在北京人民大会堂，与到访的芬兰总理奥尔波会面握手合影。 （路透社） 在格陵兰岛风波尚未平息、俄乌战争持续的背景下，中国国家主席习近平星期二（1月27日）与到访的芬兰总理奥尔波（Petteri Orpo）会面时，不点名批判美国，强调“大国要带头讲平等、讲法治、讲合作、讲诚信”。 受访学者指出，美国总统特朗普在格陵兰岛问题上的相关言行，正在削弱北大西洋公约组织（北约）内部的团结，中国借此契机加强对欧洲国家的接触与沟通。也有学者认为，在不过度依赖美国的前提下，主动寻求与中国开展对话与交流，逐渐成为欧洲国家一种自然且合理的战略选择。 根据新华社通稿，习近平星期二在北京人民大会堂会见奥尔波时指出，芬兰是最早同中华人民共和国建交的国家之一，中芬友好互信具有历史根基，双方要深化互利合作，在能源转型、循环经济、农林产业、科技创新等领域打造更多合作成果。 习近平说，当今世界面临多重风险挑战，国际社会需要携手应对， 大国尤其要带头讲平等、讲法治 、讲合作、讲诚信。他表示，中国愿同芬兰一道，“坚定维护以联合国为核心的国际体系和以国际法为基础的国际秩序，共同应对全球性挑战，推进平等有序的世界多极化、普惠包容的经济全球化”。 习近平还指出，中欧是伙伴不是对手，双方合作大于竞争、共识大于分歧，并希望芬兰为推动中欧关系健康稳定发展发挥建设性作用。 综合路透社和芬兰广播公司报道，奥尔波向习近平表示，期待就双边合作和国际问题继续进行讨论，他在公开会晤中并未就中国贸易壁垒或中俄关系等问题表达芬兰的关切。不过奥尔波当天对记者表示，中国及习近平有能力通过影响俄罗斯总统普京、减少对俄合作，推动结束俄乌战争。 芬兰既是欧盟成员国，也是北约成员国。它原本奉行军事不结盟政策，但随着俄乌战争于2022年爆发，芬兰国内支持加入北约的民意大幅上升，并于2023年4月正式加入北约。芬兰总统斯图布此前表明，习近平“一通电话就能解决这场危机”，原因是俄罗斯非常依赖中国，西方国家甚至美国都做不到。 奥尔波此次访华前， 特朗普提出收购丹麦自治领地格陵兰岛 ，甚至威胁要对丹麦和其他反对欧洲国家如芬兰加征关税。尽管特朗普上周三（21日）在格陵兰岛问题上态度有所软化，并取消加征关税计划，但欧洲国家的担忧并未随之消散。 新加坡尤索夫伊萨东南亚研究院附属资深研究员黎良福接受《联合早报》采访时说，...
