mdisk/iStock via Getty Images Sportradar Group AG ( SRAD ) launched a new iGaming brand called Playradar that is designed to offer a fully integrated ecosystem of cross-vertical gaming experiences for global operators. The company said the launch marks the next phase in the evolution of its iGaming business. Playradar combines Sportradar's ( SRAD ) live and historical sports data, AV streams, and casino content to create proprietary hybrid products. Key elements of the new brand include a 24/7 “Experience Center” where players can watch live sports streams and play games on the same screen, fostering community interaction and both engagement-only and real-money play. It will also offer live and historical sports/casino hybrid content that turns real sporting moments into interactive, event-driven gameplay, including a live prediction product powered by Sportradar’s data. In addition, the brand will provide premium iGaming content such as virtual sports, slots, table games, arcade titles, and crash games. Sportradar ( SRAD ) has appointed former Playtech Live CEO Edo Haitin to lead the division, leveraging his more than 20 years of experience in iGaming operations, live casino development, and executive leadership to accelerate growth. Looking ahead, Sportradar ( SRAD ) plans to scale Playradar using its existing game studio, sports data expertise, streaming capabilities, global distribution network, and marketing technologies, aiming to drive cross-sell, higher player value, and longer sessions for operators that already span both betting and iGaming. Playradar will operate only in regulated markets and will roll out games through 2026 across the UK, North America, and Latin America. "Playradar content is designed to provide optimized cross-sell between the worlds of sport and casinos, helping operators to increase player value and session length at a time when engagement and retention are key to operational sustainability," highlighted Sportradar ( SRAD ) CEO Carst...

Robert Way Two of the world's biggest beauty companies may soon be getting together. Estée Lauder ( EL ) has confirmed it's in talks to acquire Spain's Puig ( PUIGF ) in a potential cash-and-stock transaction that would be valued north of $10B. The move would be a big deal for the firm, which is facing weak demand in the Americas and a double punch from tariffs and inflation. Puig stock jumps Backdrop: Organic growth has become harder to find in recent years following the post-pandemic spending boom. Companies are looking to consolidate, especially given growing competition in the beauty arena, where Gucci owner Kering ( PPRUY ) just sold its beauty business to L'Oréal ( LRLCY ). Coty ( COTY ) is also conducting a strategic review, while Elf Beauty ( ELF ) has shelled out big bucks for Hailey Bieber's skincare brand Rhode. Estée Lauder's ( EL ) deal for Puig would immediately vault it into a global leader in high-growth fragrances (such as Carolina Herrera and Rabanne), while leveraging makeup brands like Charlotte Tilbury into Estée's ( EL ) massive distribution network (Clinique and M.A.C). Shares of Estee ( EL ) sank nearly 8% on Monday following the news that broke just before the closing bell. Investors seemed concerned about the risks involved for such a big acquisition and the financing that it would take to add more brands to its sprawling portfolio. Estée ( EL ) already spent $2.8B on a deal for Tom Ford several years back, and while the strategic acquisition boosted its prestige portfolio by upending a sale to Kering ( PPRUY ), the long-term investment hasn't yet paid back financially. Outlook: Estée Lauder's ( EL ) shares have been in a downtrend for years, slumping 80% from their all-time high in late 2021, and a whopping 25% in 2026 alone. It has attempted a turnaround plan called "Beauty Reimagined" that aims to cut costs and utilize supply chain efficiencies to fund a pivot toward the digital growth channels of younger consumers, like Amazon and TikTo...

“Open your mind,越长大,越smart。”

Middle Eastern funds have racked up outsize gains from bets on newly-listed Chinese artificial intelligence companies, bucking a broader selloff in equity markets caused by the ongoing conflict in the Gulf. Abu Dhabi Investment Authority ’s $65 million cornerstone investment in MiniMax Group Inc. has risen more than sixfold as of Tuesday’s close to over $400 million since the firm listed in Hong Kong in January. Aramco Ventures ’ roughly $30 million pre-IPO investment in Knowledge Atlas Technology JSC Ltd. , known as Zhipu, has meanwhile climbed to about $415 million since its debut at the start of the year. The Chinese firms rank as the best-performing listings of the year for deals that raised more than $500 million. MiniMax and Zhipu were among the first post-ChatGPT generative AI firms to go public in January, contributing to a strong month for listings in Hong Kong. The surge in their shares since has underscored strong appetite for Chinese firms in the sector and contrasts with a selloff globally. Attacks on energy and infrastructure targets across the Middle East over the past month have shaken oil markets and weighed on equities, while raising concerns about potential disruption to critical assets such as Gulf data centers. While the investments into the AI firms represent a tiny proportion of overall outlays, they come at a time when Middle Eastern investors are having to navigate a delicate balancing act between their biggest markets — America and China. Many Gulf entities have attempted to pare back ties to China and pledged investments in key Western markets. Others have said they continue to look at investments in Beijing, while steering clear of deals that could raise concerns in Washington.
