Diplomatic sources say negotiations in Islamabad may begin next week, though no formal agreement is in place Middle East crisis – live updates Pakistan’s military leadership has been attempting to broker negotiations between the US and Iran, after the White House confirmed that Pakistan’s army chief, Asim Munir, had a phonecall with Donald Trump on Sunday to discuss the conflict. Diplomatic sources said the US and Iran could meet for negotiations in Islamabad as early as this week, to discuss an end to the war which began almost a month ago. Continue reading...

Analysts came out positive on Grab Holdings' ( GRAB ) deal to acquire Delivery Hero subsidiary foodpanda Taiwan for $600M in cash. Notably, the deal will mark Grab’s first market entry outside Southeast Asia, expanding it into Taiwan as its ninth market. The deal is expected to close in the second half of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals. Under the terms of the deal, agreement, Grab will buy Foodpanda's entire delivery-platform business in Taiwan on a cash-free, debt-free basis, gaining operations across 21 cities and a business that generated about $1.8 billion in 2025 GMV and is already profitable on an adjusted EBITDA basis before group cost allocation. Looking ahead, Grab ( GRAB ) expects the acquisition to be accretive to its 2026 results and to contribute at least $60 million in incremental adjusted EBITDA in 2028. Strategically, Grab ( GRAB ) sees the move as a natural next step that leverages its logistics and superapp capabilities in dense, high-traffic cities to capture Taiwan’s mobile-first demand for food and grocery delivery. Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Piccolo called the development a strategically compelling and well-priced deal for Grab ( GRAB ), noting that it is acquiring a profitable, high-GMV asset at a meaningful discount to the $950M UBER sought to pay. He noted the company should have a clear regulatory path, given Grab ( GRAB ) has no existing Taiwan market share to trigger monopoly concerns. Bank of America analyst Sachin Salgaonkar said the firm finds the acquisition directionally positive. BofA has a Buy rating on Grab ( GRAB ) on what it sees as a favorable risk-reward profile. Morgan Stanley analyst Divya Gangahar Kothiyal noted that as a new market for Grab ( GRAB ), the firm sees limited synergies. "However, ~30% of visitors to Taiwan in 2025 came from ASEAN – a target market Grab could leverage better. Also, as a relatively well-funded operator with stronger innovative product suites backed by AI-powered tools, we think Gr...

Just_Super/iStock via Getty Images I initiated coverage on BTQ Technologies ( BTQ ) a little over a year ago with a Hold rating, at the height of the quantum momentum in early 2025. BTQ had (and I believe still has) a tech stack that stood apart among quantum-focused companies. Most of the others are either advancing quantum features in semiconductors or building quantum computing hardware from scratch. SEALSQ Corp. ( LAES ) is building post-quantum cryptographic chips for IoT devices and secure elements, IonQ ( IONQ ) is building trapped-ion quantum computing hardware targeting enterprise and government compute workloads, Rigetti Computing ( RGTI ) is building full-stack superconducting quantum chips and cloud services, Quantum Computing Inc. ( QUBT ) is building quantum photonic chips and optimization software; while BTQ is building post-quantum cryptography defenses specifically for blockchain networks like Bitcoin ( BTC-USD ), and at the same time developing a hardware stack to go with it. Last September, I wrote a follow-up on BTQ in which I upgraded to a Buy on the Nasdaq uplisting. I based the thesis on the Nasdaq uplisting as a potential catalyst for institutional exposure and the company's first-mover positioning in post-quantum Bitcoin security potentially gaining the right attention through the uplisting. Since that call, BTQ is down ~65% (after surging over 100% to a six-month high of $14 in October) as the stock currently trades around $2.50 today. Seeking Alpha While updates from BTQ show that the development of its core tech products has been progressing well, I think the company's prolonged status as a pre-revenue company is making investors' patience (including mine) wear thin. Some of the companies I mentioned earlier were also pre-revenue when I first covered BTQ in January 2025, but several of them have since successfully shipped to market and established a clear revenue path. For context, for FY25, IonQ reported $130 million in revenue, a 202% i...
