alxpin/iStock via Getty Images Swarmer, a provider of operating systems for drone swarms, went public in what I consider to be an eye-popping IPO, rising 1,000%. While the IPO price action has been eye-popping, the fundamental realities are sobering and eye-opening. In this report, I discuss what the company does, the IPO, and assess a stock price target. Swarmer Provides The Operating System Backbone For Drone Swarms Swarmer was founded in 2023 by Serhii Kupriienko and Alex Fink as a response to the war in Ukraine in order to develop solutions for Ukrainian forces to coordinate drones in contested areas. The company positions itself as the provider of a software layer across fragmented drone hardware systems. The company has three products: Trident OS, which is the company’s core product, enabling autonomous navigation and coordination with other drones. STYX, which provides a Command & Control, or C2, interface allowing the control and coordination of multiple drones and real-time mission management. MINAS, which is the AI layer for autonomy and multi-drone collaboration. The way the architecture works and how the various programs click together is through an operator who is given command and control capability through STYX, with MINAS being the autonomy layer providing multi-drone collaboration capability and Trident OS being the on-drone embedded software. Given that jamming and communication disruption are part of the battlefield, this piece of edge autonomy is crucial. So, Swarmer does not have a single product or Drone OS but a software stack providing solutions over three crucial axes for autonomous drone operations with the ability to organize drones into swarms. In the prospectus summary (Page 1) , the company provides the following description of its proven deployment: Unlike competitors developing capabilities in peacetime laboratory environments, we have maintained continuous combat deployment in Ukraine since 2023, executing over 100,000 combat mission...

Key Points One of the first things you want to do is get your doctor involved in the appeals process. Even if your first appeal fails, don't give up. There are places you can turn to for help with your appeal. The $23,760 Social Security bonus most retirees completely overlook › No matter which type of Medicare you carry -- Original or Medicare Advantage -- you may find yourself dealing with a preapproval or service denial. Claims can be denied for a variety of reasons, including coding errors, Coordination of Benefits (COB) issues, or insufficient proof of medical necessity. If you have Medicare Advantage, you may have found the past few years especially challenging. Not only is healthcare in retirement expensive, but the non-profit organization KFF reports that Medicare Advantage fully or partially denied 4.1 million prior-authorization requests in 2024 alone. Will AI create the world's first trillionaire? Our team just released a report on the one little-known company, called an "Indispensable Monopoly" providing the critical technology Nvidia and Intel both need. Continue » While you probably never considered a Medicare denial as you planned for retirement, all is not lost. Appealing a Medicare denial can be highly effective. While very few Medicare recipients appeal their decisions, the majority of appeals result in Medicare fully or partially overturning the initial denial. Here are the basic steps for making an appeal: Step 1: Understand the denial Review your Medicare Summary Notice (MSN) or Medicare Advantage (MA) explanation carefully to understand why the initial claim was denied. Step 2: Act quickly You generally have 120 days to file an appeal if you have Original Medicare. If you have a Medicare Advantage plan, you'll need to check with your insurer, as they often have shorter deadlines. Step 3: Get your doctor involved Ask your medical provider for a letter detailing why treatment, medication, or specific service(s) are medically necessary. Frequently...

Delivery giant Grab said on Monday it will acquire Delivery Hero’s Foodpanda business in Taiwan for $600 million in cash, marking its first expansion beyond Southeast Asia. Grab noted that the deal is still pending regulatory approval and is anticipated to close in the second half of 2026. The company aims to complete the full transition of users, merchants, and driver-partners onto its platform by early 2027. The move comes roughly a year after Uber Technologies abandoned its planned acquisition of Foodpanda’s Taiwan operations in March 2025, after the deal was blocked by Taiwan’s antitrust regulator over competition concerns. At the time, Uber Eats and Foodpanda were the dominant players in Taiwan’s food delivery market. A recent report showed Foodpanda held a 52% market share, while Uber Eats accounted for 48% between 2022 and 2023. Taiwan’s Fair Trade Commission said the combined entity would have controlled roughly 90% of the market, raising concerns over reduced competition and potential price increases. This case, however, may present a different dynamic. If Grab were to acquire Foodpanda’s Taiwan business, the Singapore-based ride-hailing and delivery firm would gain a market share of just over 50%, positioning it as a stronger competitor to Uber Eats rather than creating a near-monopoly. “This is a natural next step for Grab, as our experience in Southeast Asia is a direct fit for this market. Our longstanding expertise in managing complex delivery logistics for dense and high-traffic cities is well-suited for Taiwan’s bustling cities,” Anthony Tan, Group CEO and Co-Founder of Grab, said in its statement. “Taiwan’s population of approximately 23 million also has a high demand for mobile-first services, similar to the Southeast Asian consumers who Grab serves every day. We see a significant opportunity to grow the food and groceries delivery scene here.” Grab is set to expand its presence to 21 cities across Taiwan after the acquisition, strengthening its fo...

Investors with an interest in Oil and Gas - Mechanical and and Equipment stocks have likely encountered both National Energy Services Reunited (NESR) and Forum Energy Technologies (FET). But which of these two companies is the best option for those looking for undervalued stocks? Let's take a closer look. There are plenty of strategies for discovering value stocks, but we have found that pairing a strong Zacks Rank with an impressive grade in the Value category of our Style Scores system produces the best returns. The proven Zacks Rank puts an emphasis on earnings estimates and estimate revisions, while our Style Scores work to identify stocks with specific traits. Right now, National Energy Services Reunited is sporting a Zacks Rank of #2 (Buy), while Forum Energy Technologies has a Zacks Rank of #4 (Sell). Investors should feel comfortable knowing that NESR likely has seen a stronger improvement to its earnings outlook than FET has recently. But this is just one piece of the puzzle for value investors. Value investors also try to analyze a wide range of traditional figures and metrics to help determine whether a company is undervalued at its current share price levels. Our Value category grades stocks based on a number of key metrics, including the tried-and-true P/E ratio, the P/S ratio, earnings yield, and cash flow per share, as well as a variety of other fundamentals that value investors frequently use. NESR currently has a forward P/E ratio of 13.00, while FET has a forward P/E of 41.70. We also note that NESR has a PEG ratio of 0.57. This metric is used similarly to the famous P/E ratio, but the PEG ratio also takes into account the stock's expected earnings growth rate. FET currently has a PEG ratio of 5.21. Another notable valuation metric for NESR is its P/B ratio of 2.15. Investors use the P/B ratio to look at a stock's market value versus its book value, which is defined as total assets minus total liabilities. By comparison, FET has a P/B of 2.2. These...

Investors with an interest in Transportation - Services stocks have likely encountered both ZTO Express (Cayman) Inc. (ZTO) and C.H. Robinson Worldwide (CHRW). But which of these two stocks presents investors with the better value opportunity right now? Let's take a closer look. There are plenty of strategies for discovering value stocks, but we have found that pairing a strong Zacks Rank with an impressive grade in the Value category of our Style Scores system produces the best returns. The Zacks Rank favors stocks with strong earnings estimate revision trends, and our Style Scores highlight companies with specific traits. Currently, ZTO Express (Cayman) Inc. has a Zacks Rank of #2 (Buy), while C.H. Robinson Worldwide has a Zacks Rank of #3 (Hold). This system places an emphasis on companies that have seen positive earnings estimate revisions, so investors should feel comfortable knowing that ZTO is likely seeing its earnings outlook improve to a greater extent. But this is just one factor that value investors are interested in. Value investors also tend to look at a number of traditional, tried-and-true figures to help them find stocks that they believe are undervalued at their current share price levels. The Value category of the Style Scores system identifies undervalued companies by looking at a number of key metrics. These include the long-favored P/E ratio, P/S ratio, earnings yield, cash flow per share, and a variety of other fundamentals that help us determine a company's fair value. ZTO currently has a forward P/E ratio of 13.38, while CHRW has a forward P/E of 28.60. We also note that ZTO has a PEG ratio of 1.23. This popular figure is similar to the widely-used P/E ratio, but the PEG ratio also considers a company's expected EPS growth rate. CHRW currently has a PEG ratio of 1.78. Another notable valuation metric for ZTO is its P/B ratio of 1.5. The P/B ratio is used to compare a stock's market value with its book value, which is defined as total assets ...

Peresmeh/iStock via Getty Images Graphene is a relatively new discovery after being isolated at Manchester University in 2004. The discovery resulted in a Nobel Prize award to two scientists in 2010 . While the Nobel Prize award validates the importance of the discovery, it "can't put money in the bank". Since then, research has focused on how to produce graphene. A Kansas State University professor, Christopher Sorensen, invented and patented a system that produces graphene using acetylene to power the process. The original U.S. patent, number US 9,440,857 B2 (see below) with 51 patent claims, can be searched and further reviewed on the U.S Patent and Trade Mark Office website. Company presentation HydroGraph Clean Power ( HGRAF ) acquired the patent rights and is currently working to launch the unit in the market. Since licensing the original patent. Hydrograph has registered additional issued and pending patents, as noted in the company investor presentation . An exhaustive search did not reveal a more efficacious method of producing graphene than the HydroGraph unit. Due to its unique properties, graphene has the ability to greatly enhance the strength and performance of materials beyond present measures to a new paradigm in scientific and industrial development. For example, it is more than 200x stronger than steel with 100x the electrical conductivity of copper, but incredibly light. The foregoing presents an early-stage potential investment opportunity that could revolutionize material development in multiple industrial applications, as will be further discussed. What is graphene? Graphene is a variety of the carbon element that occurs in small amounts globally. It is the strongest and most conductive material known to man. The molecular structure of graphene is configured in a layered, hexagonal pattern, enabling electrons to pass through graphene at incredibly fast speeds. The layered, hexagonal structure further strengthens the material. When layers of gra...

Natali_Mis/iStock via Getty Images A High-Yield Income Portfolio to Mimic a Standard 60/40 For those looking to generate income from their portfolios versus relying on a safe withdrawal rate [SWR], different fund combinations that have distributions of the underlying capital gains are a good way to do it. In reality, that is what one does when selling shares for income anyway: they sell a certain amount needed for living and leave the rest alone. The standard advice from Bill Bengen and the Trinity study was that 4% in a conservative portfolio allocation should last in perpetuity. Keep in mind, this 4% rate is supposed to adjust for inflation. It has been criticized as being too low to live on for most, but when you take inflation into the calculus, the dollar amount compounds substantially over time. For instance, take a typical $1,000,000 portfolio withdrawing $40,000 per year. If we assume a 2% inflation rate, what is the dollar amount a decade later? It's $48,759 10 years later and $59,437 20 years later . The Goal The goal here is to back-test some combinations of funds that are a mix of closed-end funds and standard ETFs, aiming for a higher, near 7% yield. This gives retirees an income boost while at the same time trying to maintain the conservative mix and exposure of a typical 60/40 stock/bond portfolio. We want to at least match the compound annual growth rate of a traditional allocation and have about the same volatility measured by the portfolio standard deviation. The Portfolio The first part was looking for actively managed closed-end funds with minimal leverage in the fixed-income sphere. Here were the screening criteria: Fixed Income Screen $600 million or larger AUM Effective leverage less than 20% CEF Connect I avoided any high-yield products, which eliminated corporate exposure. Two picks I ended up with were municipal bond funds. I combined two muni funds, The Nuveen Municipal Value Fund and the BlackRock MuniHoldings Fund , with The Vanguard Tot...

ASML Holding NY (ASML) is a Dutch multinational corporation and a foundational pillar of the global semiconductor industry. ASML is the world's sole provider of extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography machines, which are essential for etching the microscopic circuits found in the most advanced AI and high-performance chips. By utilizing complex laser-plasma light sources and precision optics, ASML enables chipmakers like TSMC (TSM), Intel (INTC), and Samsung to push the boundaries of Moore’s Law. Headquartered in Veldhoven, Netherlands, the company was founded in 1984. ASML Stock Surges ASML stock reflects a massive 94% surge over the past year. The stock has benefited from a significant re-rating as investor sentiment toward AI infrastructure remains robust. With a market capitalization exceeding $526 billion, ASML has recovered sharply from its 2024 lows, recently hitting a 52-week high of $1,547.22, despite a relatively minor 7% pullback in the last 30 days due to broader market consolidation. In comparison to the Nasdaq 100 ($IUXX), ASML has substantially outperformed the index over the last twelve months. While the Nasdaq 100 has seen strong gains driven by the broader "Magnificent Seven" rally, ASML’s specialized position in the semiconductor supply chain allowed it to nearly double the index's percentage returns. ASML Posted Record Results ASML concluded a record-breaking fiscal year 2025, reporting Q4 net sales of €9.7 billion, significantly exceeding market expectations. This performance contributed to a full-year revenue of €32.7 billion, a 16% increase compared to 2024. Net income for the quarter reached €2.8 billion, with a healthy gross margin of 52.2%. A standout metric was the record quarterly net bookings of €13.2 billion, of which €7.4 billion was specifically for EUV systems, resulting in a total order backlog of €38.8 billion by year-end. Looking ahead, management has issued a confident outlook for 2026, projecting total net sales between €34 billio...

Pope Leo said aeroplanes should be “carriers of peace” and that aerial bombardments should be banned in his latest condemnation of war amid the US-Israeli conflict with Iran. The comments were made by Leo, the Catholic church’s first American pontiff, during a meeting on Monday with staff from the Italian national airline, ITA Airways. “Airplanes should always be carriers of peace, never of war! No one should be afraid that threats of death and destruction might come from the sky,” the pope said. He did not specifically refer to the war on Iran. Leo added: “After the tragic experiences of the 20th century, aerial bombings should have been banned for ever. Instead, they still exist, and technological development, positive in itself, is being placed at the service of war. This is not progress; it is regression!” The pope’s criticism of the war was more pointed on Sunday, when during his weekly Angelus prayer at St Peter’s Square he renewed his appeal for a ceasefire. He described the death and suffering caused by the conflict as a “scandal to the whole human family”. View image in fullscreen Pope Leo during his weekly Angelus prayer at the Vatican on Sunday. Photograph: Vatican Pool/Getty Images He said he had been following the situation with “dismay”. “We cannot remain silent in the face of the suffering of so many people, the defenceless victims of these conflicts. What hurts them hurts the whole of humanity,” the pope added. “I strongly renew my appeal for us to persevere in prayer, so that hostilities may cease and the way may finally be paved for peace.” Leo, who was elected pope in May last year after the death of Pope Francis, has so far been cautious over his engagement with the US president, Donald Trump. He has relied instead on his college of cardinals to directly criticise the US’s decision to go to war in Iran. Earlier this month, Cardinal Domenico Battaglia in Naples addressed an open letter to “the merchants of death” profiting from weapons’ sales, whi...

Shareholders of Tronox Holdings PLC (Symbol: TROX) looking to boost their income beyond the stock's 2.7% annualized dividend yield can sell the August covered call at the $10 strike and collect the premium based on the 80 cents bid, which annualizes to an additional 25.9% rate of return against the current stock price (at Stock Options Channel we call this the), for a total of 28.6% annualized rate in the scenario where the stock is not called away. Any upside above $10 would be lost if the stock rises there and is called away, but TROX shares would have to climb 33.9% from current levels for that to occur, meaning that in the scenario where the stock is called, the shareholder has earned a 44.6% return from this trading level, in addition to any dividends collected before the stock was called. In general, dividend amounts are not always predictable and tend to follow the ups and downs of profitability at each company. In the case of Tronox Holdings PLC, looking at the dividend history chart for TROX below can help in judging whether the most recent dividend is likely to continue, and in turn whether it is a reasonable expectation to expect a 2.7% annualized dividend yield. Below is a chart showing TROX's trailing twelve month trading history, with the $10 strike highlighted in red: The chart above, and the stock's historical volatility, can be a helpful guide in combination with fundamental analysis to judge whether selling the August covered call at the $10 strike gives good reward for the risk of having given away the upside beyond $10.
