PJM, in its initial feedback on the interconnection plan for the restarted plant, told Constellation ( CEG ) it would take until 2031 to complete some of the transmission upgrades needed for the plant to connect to the grid, chief external affairs and growth officer David Dardis said at the CERAWeek energy conference in Houston. The company is in discussions with transmission owners to reduce the timeline and will be ready to produce electricity from the plant by its earlier goal, Dardis said. Constellation ( CEG ) is working to resume operations at the nuclear power plant, which is being renamed the Crane Clean Energy Center, to supply electricity to Microsoft data centers. But first… Three things to know: • OpenAI discontinues support for Sora , winds down Disney deal • Apple plans AI reboot with Siri app, new look and “Ask Siri” button in iOS 27 • Amazon acquires Fauna Robotics , entering consumer humanoid market Embracing AI agents Months after the viral release of OpenClaw, the open source AI agent has exposed a gulf in how people in the US and China embrace cutting-edge artificial intelligence products, with potential implications for the technological rivalry between the two countries. In China, students, workers and senior citizens have flocked to test out OpenClaw, and some companies have gone so far as to mandate employees use the product. Though China’s authorities have moved to limit its use at state-run enterprises and government agencies, the country has nonetheless become a giant testing ground for letting AI systems run peoples’ digital lives. In the US, OpenClaw, previously called Moltbot and Clawdbot, was met with much fanfare from developers and early adopters , but has yet to spark a comparable amount of mainstream frenzy. Some US firms have begun restricting employee use of OpenClaw due to security concerns about AI agents running amok. The diverging responses to the technology are not lost on OpenClaw’s creator. “In the US, I feel that at some companies, you get fired if you use OpenClaw,” said Peter Steinberger, the Austrian software developer behind the tool who has since joined OpenAI to work on agentic technology. “And in China, there are many companies where you get fired when you do not use OpenClaw.” Steinberger, whose product has been hailed by Nvidia’s Jensen Huang as “the single most important release of software, probably ever,” acknowledges that neither country’s approach is perfect. Though OpenClaw is meant to automate ta...

JuSun/iStock via Getty Images I have studied and traded The Walt Disney Co. ( DIS ) since I started investing in 1986. This film and vacation juggernaut is one of the top names in the world of entertainment. Generally, periods of recession and rising oil prices (negatively affecting disposable incomes for consumers and expenses to pay for a Disney trip) have been some of the worst times to own the stock. This condition may describe the first half of 2026 rather aptly. However, after the dust settles regarding a drop in entertainment spending by Americans and travelers around the globe (with reactions to Trump tariffs already hurting travel to the U.S.), buying Disney stock has proven a terrific idea for longer-term investors. Even better, if you can purchase shares with a stronger-than-average valuation (which may be true in the months ahead), smart investors may be rigging the odds in their favor for nice portfolio gains several years into the future. Disney Homepage Summary - March 26th, 2026 To me, the developing economic and stock valuation situation reminds me of the 1990 Persian Gulf War recession plus the late 2008 peak in crude oil and Great Recession span. If this reflection proves correct, acquiring DIS shares under $95, possibly falling back to $80 or lower in the months ahead, may be the most productive course of action for those with a holding period target of 3-5 years or longer. After being correctly bearish on Disney stock from $110-120 a year ago , I am upgrading my 12-month view to "Buy," with "Strong Buy" territory pegged around $80. Let's review some of my logic. StockCharts.com - Disney, 18 Months of Daily Price & Volume Changes Buy Disney After Oil Price Spike? If you can purchase DIS when Wall Street is fretting over a spike in oil and its trickle-down headwind on vacation spending, positive investment returns tend to be your reward. Let's say we get a jump in crude oil to $150 per barrel into late spring on President Trump's Iran war decision...

Apple is widening its push to expand manufacturing in the United States, adding several new partners, including Qnity Electronics , to the mix. It is a win-win for both Club companies and their investors. Apple on Thursday announced that chip-materials maker Qnity — along with Face ID component supplier Cirrus Logic , and sensor makers Bosch and TDK — have joined its American Manufacturing Program, bringing more of its supply chain onto U.S. soil. The iPhone maker said it's planning to spend $400 million as part of these new programs through 2030. "At Apple, we believe in the power of American innovation and manufacturing, and we're proud to partner with even more companies to produce critical components and cutting-edge materials for our products right here in the U.S.," Apple CEO Tim Cook said in a press release. Apple unveiled its American Manufacturing Program back in August 2025 with a splashy announcement in the Oval Office alongside President Donald Trump — a politically savvy move from Cook to give the company breathing room in Trump's tariff and domestic manufacturing crusade. At the time, Apple also tacked on an additional $100 billion to its $500 billion American investment pledge made in February 2025, which had failed to keep the company in Trump's good graces throughout the spring and early summer. Qnity is now the third Club name to participate in Apple's manufacturing initiative, joining Broadcom and Corning . In fact, it was the creation of the American Manufacturing Program that sparked our interest in Corning's stock. Apple invested $2.5 billion into Corning to help the upstate New York-based company expand manufacturing capacity for the glass used in iPhone and Apple Watch covers. With the spotlight on Corning, we learned more about its booming opportunity to supply fiber optic cables to data centers amid the AI buildout, which ultimately led us to pull the trigger and start a position in October 2025. Broadcom, which re-entered the portfolio in ...

Earnings Call Insights: H.B. Fuller Company (FUL) Q1 2026 Management View CEO Celeste Mastin reported "we delivered on our profit commitment and executed with discipline in a challenging operating environment." Mastin highlighted that organic revenue decreased 6.6% year-on-year, with positive pricing offset by lower volume, but EBITDA of $119 million increased 4% year-on-year and EBITDA margin expanded 90 basis points to 15.4%. Mastin detailed that the Engineering Adhesives (EA) segment achieved 3% organic growth (excluding solar), while HHC declined 10%, and BAS sales decreased 5.1%. Segment EBITDA margins improved, particularly in EA and HHC due to restructuring savings and positive price actions. Mastin described significant supply chain disruptions from the Middle East conflict, noting, "we have received over 40 force majeure letters from suppliers in recent weeks, clear evidence that this is a major disruption." In response, H.B. Fuller announced "a minimum 10% price increase across all product lines globally effective April 1 with significantly higher price adjustments for certain technologies and regions where cost escalation is more acute." Mastin emphasized that "this disruption creates a unique opportunity to support existing customers and gain market share, positioning us for improved volume growth in the future." CFO John Corkrean stated, "Adjusted gross profit margin was 31.3%, up 170 basis points versus last year as positive pricing and raw material actions as well as restructuring savings more than offset volume declines." Corkrean also reported "adjusted earnings per share of $0.57 was up 6% versus the same quarter in 2025 driven by higher operating income and lower shares outstanding." Corkrean shared, "Net debt to adjusted EBITDA was 3.1x, consistent with fiscal year-end 2025 and down from 3.5x at the end of the first quarter of last year." Outlook Corkrean announced, "Net revenue is now expected to be up mid-single digits and organic revenue is no...
