Membership income is becoming an increasingly large and important high-margin revenue stream for PriceSmart, which I believe that investors should focus on as platinum tier penetration grows. I maintained a Hold rating in my previous December 2025 article on the stock, titled “ PriceSmart Q1 Preview: The Growth Story Remains On Track.” The stock has since returned 28%, while the S&P 500 has lost -1% of its value. My Rating History on PSMT (Seeking Alpha) PriceSmart Q2 Review: A Good Continuation in the Growth Story PriceSmart had another good quarter in Q2. The company reported 9.7% year-on-year revenue growth to $1.50 billion, beating Wall Street’s consensus estimate by $18 million. Most of the sales growth was driven by a 7.6% increase in comparable club sales as membership momentum has remained strong. PriceSmart has 2.08 million members after the quarter, up by approximately 7.8% year-on-year from 1.93 million a year ago. High food inflation in Colombia and the Dominican Republic helped PriceSmart achieve good comparable club sales growth, but overall, I believe that the figure reflects healthy underlying momentum as well. Guatemala and Costa Rica , two other key markets for PriceSmart, showed significantly slower inflation and even deflation.
