But that wasn't the case. On top of it, Friday's announcement of board director resigning resulted in double-digit percentage drop. So, SEZL is down 10% since my last publishing while the S&P 500 remained flat. SEZL: Stock Underperformed the Benchmark Since My Last Article (Seeking Alpha) What's next for the stock? Well, it seems that due to this negative news, the selling pressure may suppress the stock in the short term. But I feel this price action feels more like overreaction. I don't think it impacts long-term thesis. I shared my view on this management change below. Now, looking at the chart, it still trades in a range. If it holds a solid base here, in my opinion, a positive momentum in broader markets could result in SEZL's break-out, and that's one thing I love about the stock. Of course, it may need a positive catalyst, but I think there are a few things that may play out which could move a needle. SEZL: Stock Price (YCharts) Yes, I maintained my bullish rating as Strong Buy. And here are the reasons behind my thesis. Buy Now, Pay Later Has a Long-Term Demographic Tailwind Quite frankly, I think the market underestimates the demographic tailwind for the BNPL market. Why's that? Well, this research shared results of a survey underscoring that 54% of gen Z favors buy now, pay later over credit cards. On top of it, another article here says that 39% of Gen Z respondents told their BNPL usage increased strongly over the past two years. And the traditional credit may be losing its competitive edge based on this article stating 20% of Gen Z turns to BNPL. In my honest opinion, that's crucial. Such habits, once formed, could be long-lasting. Gen Z starts from year 1997 up to 2012 . So, the oldest ones are aged 29. What it tells me is that over the next 10 to 15 years this generation wi...

Brazilian waste management company Aegea Saneamento e Participacoes SA reported double-digit growth in revenue and earnings for 2025, releasing full-year financial statements after repeated delays that had rattled investors and sent its bonds to record lows. Pro forma net revenue rose 21% from a year earlier to 18.3 billion reais ($3.7 billion), while pro forma earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization increased 24% to 10.3 billion reais, the Sao Paulo-based sanitation company said early Saturday. The results were published after Aegea’s bonds slumped to fresh record lows, as the company failed to present financial statements on schedule. That fueled concerns about its balance sheet at a time of broader unease over Brazilian corporate credit following a series of high-profile defaults. While Aegea disclosed full-year figures, it has yet to publish separate fourth-quarter results. The utility — backed by major shareholders including Equipav Group , Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund GIC and Itaúsa SA — said on Friday it would not release results as planned, citing a “complex review process including restatement of prior period results.” The company had already postponed the disclosure multiple times, prompting S&P Global Ratings and Fitch Ratings to cut their credit ratings deeper into junk territory and place them on watch for further downgrades. Read More: Traders Rush to Dump Aegea Bonds as Earnings Delays Spark Worry The company attributed the annual performance to strong operational expansion. It invested 8.6 billion reais in 2025, including capital expenditures and concession payments, with 7.3 billion reais directed toward expanding and upgrading water and sewage infrastructure. That helped add 722,000 new customer connections, impacting about 2 million people. Aegea treated 730 billion liters of sewage and saved 29 billion liters of water through loss-reduction initiatives. Aegea raised 22.3 billion reais from capital markets in 2025. Of t...

Getty Images Setting The Stage About a year ago, Bitmine Immersion Technologies, Inc. ( BMNR ) was what I would describe as a small-cap Bitcoin miner. It was operationally unremarkable among a crowded field of crypto mining companies . However, the narrative is different today, with it being the largest Ethereum treasury in the world and the second largest corporate crypto treasury globally behind Strategy Inc. ( MSTR ) and freshly listed on the New York Stock Exchange after graduating from NYSE America on April 9. This significant transformation, which happened in under 9 months, to me is either a masterclass in strategic pivoting or maybe the most ambitious bet ever by a publicly traded company on a single digital asset. As I hold this in mind, the Q2 2026 earnings report scheduled for April 15 will be the first sustained look investors will get at whether the financial architecture underneath the headline numbers holds together. This makes this upcoming quarterly report the most important one in the last couple of years, if not ever in the history of the company so far. Its “Alchemy of 5%” framework, stating a goal of acquiring 5% of all Ethereum tokens in circulation, has defined its entire capital allocation strategy. As of April 5th, 2026, Bitmine was holding 4,803,334 ETH at about $2,123 per token, reaching 79% of its target . Tom Lee (Chairman) has positioned ETH as a “ wartime store of value ,” noting it has outperformed the S&P 500 by 1,130 basis points since the onset of the US and Iran conflict and has beaten gold by 1,840 basis points over the same time frame. Estimates & Outlook As we head to Q2 2026, the consensus revenue estimates at Seeking Alpha stand at $18.40 million, up from $1.52 million in Q2 2025. This marks a continuation of the strong recent upward momentum in revenue, which I expect to be amplified by the recent restructuring highlighted above and which I will get deeper into shortly. Stock Analysis The EPS estimate for Q2 is up $0.17 from...

For the week, the S&P gained 3.6%, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite rose 4.7%, and the blue-chip Dow added 3.0%. Applied Materials ( AMAT ) shares surged 8% Wednesday after the semiconductor equipment manufacturer revealed a pair of new chipmaking tools designed to operate with atomic-level precision for the new wave of AI chips. These new systems are designed to create the smallest features in the most advanced logic chips. The astronomical demand for artificial intelligence computing power has led to the introduction of gate-all-around transistors at 2nm. Fastly ( FSLY ), along with its competitors Akamai ( AKAM ) and Cloudflare ( NET ), tumbled Friday after Anthropic ( ANTHRO ) launched its Claude Managed Agents. Fastly had plunged 22%, Akamai sunk 17%, and Cloudflare collapsed by 14%. Investors are apparently viewing Claude Managed Agents as a direct infrastructure competitor to these platforms. Organon ( OGN ) closed 28% higher Friday after media reports from India indicated that Mumbai-based generic drugmaker Sun Pharmaceutical Industries had submitted a ~$12B binding bid for the company following months of due diligence, with financing support from JPMorgan Chase & Co. and MUFG. Ares Management ( ARES ) declined 4% after reports that it is sounding out investors for a new ~$20B direct lending fund, even as rising redemption pressure weighs on sentiment across private credit. The firm recently capped withdrawals from its Ares Strategic Income Fund after receiving $1.2B in Q1 redemption requests, part of a broader ~$20B+ pullback from the asset class impacting peers like Apollo Global Management, Ares, Blackstone, Blue Owl Capital, and KKR, signaling growing investor caution despite continued fundraising efforts. Medicare insurers rallied after the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services said it will raise...

An unit of Abu Dhabi royal Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan ’s investment conglomerate is acquiring a majority stake in Richard Caring’s hospitality empire, which includes some of the UK’s most iconic brands such as the Ivy restaurants chain and private members’ club Annabel’s. As part of the deal, DIAFA — an affiliate of International Holding Co , the investment firm chaired by Sheikh Tahnoon, the brother of the United Arab Emirates’ ruler — will acquire a stake in the business that also runs the luxury restaurant portfolio of Caprice Holdings, which owns Sexy Fish, Scott’s and Noema, according to a statement on Saturday. The “ten-figure” deal also includes Caring’s other private members’ clubs in London like George, Harry’s Bar and Mark’s Club, the company said. The investment from IHC is worth more than £1 billion ($1.3 billion), according to a person familiar with the matter. Caring will remain executive chairman and will together with DIAFA lead the business’s next phase of expansion globally, the company said. A British businessman, Caring built his fortune in fashion before pivoting into high-end property and hospitality, assembling one of London’s most valuable leisure portfolios. His strategy has centered on acquiring legacy brands and scaling them, most notably expanding The Ivy from a single celebrity haunt into a nationwide chain of more than 40 sites. The transaction will add to DIAFA’s existing F&B portfolio, which includes brands such as the Azumi Group’s Zuma and Roka, and the h.wood Group that includes Delilah, The Nice Guy and Bird Streets Club. It is the latest for the investment conglomerate IHC, which has emerged in recent years as the largest listed company in the UAE with a market value of about $232 billion, helping drive Abu Dhabi’s global dealmaking push. For Caring, nicknamed the “King of Mayfair” for his iconic assets in the city, the transaction provides an exit route as well as further capital to expand the business footprint globally...
