TMC The Metals Company (NASDAQ: TMC) has seen volatile trading in 2026, but a recent report suggests that the stock is gaining favor with retail investors. Data tracking on the StockTwits platform shows that sentiment among traders on the platform has moved from bearish to bullish recently. In particular, retail investors appear to have become increasingly bullish on the stock on March 30 following comments from the mining specialist's CEO discussing a partnership between his company and Japan to accelerate deep-sea mining capabilities. While the company's stock is down roughly 25% year to date, its share price is up roughly 178% over the last year. Image source: Getty Images. Continue reading

Eisen Vs Every 'Trumper': There Is Quite A Battle Shaping-Up... Authored by James Howard Kunstler, The Red Line "The ends must justify the means — the only question is what means are necessary." - Saul Alinsky Why do the news anchor ladies of CNN, Erin Burnett, Kate Bolduan, always look so depressed on the air? They never smile. Their faces always register something between grave concern and hysteria. Is it the network’s cratered ratings? The pending hostile takeover by Paramount / Skydance (led by conservative David Ellison)? Too much botox, zombifying the small facial muscles? Or is it self-loathing from being compelled to slant everything they report on in the direction of a lie? There does seem to be some hidden hand in Narrative Central issuing prescribed story-lines to the networks, and that hand seems to be tinged with malice for anything and anyone seeking to rescue our country from chaos, penury, psychosis, and jihad. It looks like the hidden hand wants the country to go down in flames, and will resort to any means necessary to get it done. The template for that is so-called “color revolution,” which is a hyper-accelerated version of “Red Rudi” Dutschke’s “march through the institutions” to “capture the transmitters of culture” so as to produce a communist utopia, as cribbed from the writings of Antonio Gramsci, (1891 – 1937) founder of the Italian communist party. The fascist Mussolini tossed Gramsci in jail where he scribbled three thousand pages of his Prison Notebooks , in which he laid out his strategy for destroying civil society, later adapted by the Americans Saul Alinsky (1909-1972) in his Rules for Radicals and Gene Sharp (1928-2018), who penned several concise manuals of strategic mechanics for dismantling targeted governments. These are the mentors of chief Lawfare ninja Norm Eisen, who has made a specialty of marching through the institution of American law in order to advance the agenda of the Democratic Party allied with cohorts of the perman...

I vividly remember thinking how out of line she was. But as I thought more about what she said, I realised she’d done me a favour Read more in the kindness of strangers series More than 30 years ago, I set out to build my dream house in a small rural town. It was a stressful process exacerbated by a demanding career that required me to travel across Asia and the Pacific for weeks at a time. The challenges of juggling parenting, marriage, my work and the house felt overwhelming at times. Not to mention the builders were falling behind schedule and often did not show up at all. One day I found myself in a lighting shop, finally ready to buy light fittings. The woman who ran the shop was not exactly friendly but as it was the only shop of its kind around, she won my business by default. I asked her a few questions about some lights and received only one- or two-word answers. I made the purchase, and as I was about to leave, she looked me firmly in the eyes and said: “You know, no matter how hard you think you have it, there are always others who have it much worse than you.” With that, she turned and went into the back of the shop. The potency of the crucifixion story lies in how, as we experience the sometimes devastating travails of human existence, God himself suffers with us Making sense of it is a column about spirituality and how it can be used to navigate everyday life Twelve months ago I lost a close friend to brain cancer. He was 53 years old and survived two years after the initial shock of the diagnosis. For about 18 months of that time, with chemo and radiotherapy holding the tumour at bay, he was fit and strong and we surfed together, attended footy matches and had family get-togethers. It was hard to accept he was actually dying. But once treatment came to an end, his demise was rapid. The last months were excruciating for him and his family, the final weeks unspeakably sad. It was confronting to witness how death took hold of him as we watched him fade away. The last time I saw him, struggling to stay awake and clearly in much discomfort, he thanked me for coming and said he expected to be “much improved the next time I see you”. It was a joke. His last one to me. Continue reading...

If you have extra cash lying around, you might think about tossing that money into your IRA to help you cover your future retirement costs. The downside: this money is usually out of reach until you're 59 1/2. Most IRA withdrawals before this age trigger a 10% early withdrawal penalty. bymuratdeniz/iStock via Getty Images The conflict with Iran is reshaping the global economy in ways that appear to favor the United States, even as higher fuel costs weigh on consumers, news columnist Greg Ip reported in The Wall Street Journal. While gasoline prices have climbed, the U.S. economy has remained relatively resilient. In contrast, economies abroad, particularly in Europe, are facing rising inflation risks, higher interest rates and slowing growth as energy costs surge. Economists say the divergence reflects structural differences: the U.S. benefits from energy exports, while many allies rely heavily on imported oil and liquefied natural gas. The shift underscores a broader change in how the U.S. approaches global energy security under President Donald Trump. Previous administrations framed the free flow of oil as a shared international priority. Trump, by contrast, has emphasized U.S. self-sufficiency, noting that the country imports little oil through the Strait of Hormuz and encouraging others to rely more on American supplies. That stance reflects the transformation of the U.S. into a major energy exporter, driven by the shale boom and expanded LNG infrastructure. Energy exports now contribute significantly to economic growth and global influence, in some cases surpassing traditional exports like agricultural goods. The administration has elevated “energy dominance” as a central strategic goal, tying domestic production to geopolitical leverage. Recent actions, including moves affecting oil supplies in Venezuela, illustrate how energy resources are increasingly being used as a tool of foreign policy. At the same time, the war has exposed vulnerabilities among U.S. allies. Europe, which once depended heavily on Russian gas, has shifted toward U.S. LNG but now faces the risk of overreliance on another supplier. Some policymakers are questioning whether this creates new geopolitical dependencies. Still, analysts caution that America’s advantage may hav...

Alexey Zakirov/iStock via Getty Images The last article noted that the market could not wait to dump ARC Resources ( AETUF ) stock on the least bit of bad news. This despite the fact that the first quarter earnings reported noted only a minor setback in that some wells were not coming online as expected. So, management "took a timeout" to understand exactly what is going on. Despite the assessment that this situation did not affect long-term plans, the market could not exit the stock fast enough. Since then, there has been a pricing recovery back. Both the growth story and acquisition story here covered in the past remain unchanged. This is that rare stock that can grow, buy back shares, and pay a dividend. That part of the strategy also remains the same. Stock Price Despite the recent pullback, the stock still had a decent return from the last article. (Note: This Is A Canadian Producer That Reports Using Canadian Dollars Unless Otherwise Noted. It Also Trades On The Toronto Stock Exchange Where Liquidity Might Be Better) ARC Resources Common Stock Price History And Key Valuation Measures (Seeking Alpha Website April 3, 2026) At the same time, the Quant System of the website has this stock as a sell complete with the warning shown above. You have to remember that the Quant System is basically historically based and that there is a recent stock price pullback despite the rise from the upsetting news (that the Quant System has likely factored in). My own belief here is that since the original announcement that management just wanted to take time to understand the latest well results, then management will soon be announcing a return to normal. That should cause a quant system re-evaluation of the situation. Furthermore, the price-earnings ratio is far too low for what is a growth story in the industry. This is an investment-grade (debt-rated) company. Those types of companies rarely get into serious trouble. Instead, they usually resolve issues on a prompt basis. But ...
