Apple’s creative software: The iPhone maker started selling a bundle of the company’s popular photo, video and audio editing apps, directly competing with Adobe. Revalued Redwood Materials, a battery recycling and energy storage company led by a Tesla co-founder, raised $425 million in a funding round that included Google as a new investor. The startup is now valued at more than $6 billion. Ever more One year ago, Mark Zuckerberg turned heads by significantly boosting Meta Platforms’ capital expenditures target for 2025 to $65 billion — a 50% jump over 2024 — as the company signaled to everyone that it was serious about artificial intelligence. At the time it seemed like a somewhat outrageous sum, and Meta eventually ended up spending even more — $72 billion — in a year in which it announced several massive data center projects and AI partnerships. China has reportedly given the green light for the first batch of Nvidia Corporation‘s (NASDAQ:NVDA) H200 artificial intelligence chips to be imported into the country. Initial approvals were mainly granted to three major Chinese internet firms, while other companies await later clearances; the recipients were not named, Reuters reported on Wednesday. It is unclear how many more companies will be approved in later rounds or what criteria Beijing is using to decide eligibility, according to the report.
