Quick commerce (qcom) platform Blinkit on Tuesday said it has introduced the Bharat Yatra national common mobility card (NCMC) on its platform. The platform has started deliveries in the national capital region of Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, and Ahmedabad. The card costs Rs 50 and does not require a KYC (know your customer) process, while also removing the need for city-specific transport cards, said Albinder Dhindsa, who will soon take charge as group chief executive officer (CEO) of Eternal, the parent firm of Blinkit. “Today, we’re launching the NCMC Bharat Yatra card on Blinkit. It is a Rs 50, zero-KYC, RuPay-powered card by Pine Labs, which supports instant UPI top-ups and also eliminates the need for city-specific transport cards. This is a meaningful step in enabling public transport usage (metro and buses) across different cities in India,” Dhindsa said in a social media post. The card can be linked and activated using the Bharat Yatra mobile application. It has a usage validity of five years and a wallet limit of Rs 2,000. In its current form, it can be used for metros in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Ahmedabad, and buses in Mumbai and Chennai. Notably, Blinkit’s role is largely that of a distribution enabler, as the qcom platform is effectively reducing friction in urban mobility while improving access to such cards. Shares rose 0.9% in premarket trading. “We expect MNDY to deliver a ~2% rev beat and below-cons. FY26 guide of +18.5% [year-over-year] growth,” analyst Josh Baer wrote in a note to clients. “As such we lean cautious into the print, but view a [below-consensus] guide as a clearing event. We look for improving top-of-funnel trends and continued strength across multi-product & upmarket in FY26.” Baer kept his Overweight rating on monday.com but lowered his price target to $200 from $236. Delving deeper, Baer said the company's execution still “looks solid,” and that expectations have reset lower after the company's third-quarter. The draft Leasehold and Commonhold Reform Bill includes plans to cap ground rent at £250, ban the sale of new leasehold flats and give homeowners greater control over how their buildings are managed. What is leasehold? There are around five million leasehold properties in England and Wales, of which 70% are flats. At the moment, the freeholder of a property generally owns the building and the land beneath it, outright and forever. Leaseholders effectively buy the right to live in the property for a fixed period of time. Leasehold flats are found in all sorts of properties - from converted Victorian houses to purpose built skyscrapers - and tend to be concentrated in big cities. Scotland and Northern Ireland have different systems of property ownership. What is ground rent and how are the rules changing? Ground rent is the fee paid by leasehold homeowners for the land beneath their buildings. It must be paid under the terms of their lease, and the amount due can double or increase in line with inflation at fixed intervals, which can make it difficult to sell or get a mortgage for a property. Ground rents were abolished for most new residential leasehold properties in England and Wales in 2022, but remained for existing leasehold homes. The government says approximately 3.8 million properties still attract ground rent across England and Wales, with homeowners collectively paying more than £600m in 2025. The English Housing Survey estimates the average annual ground rent in 2023/2024 was £304. The last Palestine Action-affiliated prisoner on hunger strike has ended his protest, two days after he started refusing water. Umer Khalid, 22, who is being held at Wormwood Scrubs in west London, had escalated his action on Friday by going on thirst strike, raising fears that he could die within days. At a Prisoners for Palestine press conference on Tuesday, Saeed Taji Farouky, a British-Palestinian film-maker and educator, said Khalid ended his protest on Sunday after being taken to intensive care with organ failure. “He’s agreed to the very slow, dangerous process of refeeding and he’s drinking again,” Farouky said. “He was successful in his hunger strike. Most of his demands were accepted.” Prisoners for Palestine said Khalid had been granted a meeting with the prison governor, and as a result had received his previously withheld post and clothes, while restrictions on his prison visits, in place since he was imprisoned awaiting trial in July 2025, were also lifted. Net income rose to $107.59 million, or $0.47 per share, from $61.89 million, or $0.28 per share, a year earlier. Excluding one-time items, adjusted net income was $107.59 million, or $0.47 per share, compared with $91.78 million, or $0.42 per share, in the prior-year period. Net interest income increased to $206.46 million from $182.41 million a year earlier. Provision for credit losses totaled $3.02 million, up from $2.62 million in the fourth quarter of last year. It has continued to perform well and the market seems to finally wake up to the true value of the business, an EBITDA growth machine leveraging energy demand from data centers whilst diverging cash allocations to higher yield areas of the business instead. Its ability to maintain and continue to increase the distributions is solid. Contracts with hyperscalers have meant over 9% of the capacity is secured, a figure I see rising to 20% even this year if the trends keep up. Energy scarcity might be a real thing in the sector, and ET is well positioned to leverage this because of its extensive network of pipelines. I’m still very bullish on the stock and I’m reiterating my Strong Buy rating since November of last year. Since Last Coverage The last article I wrote on ET was on November 25. Since then the unit price has provided a nice 10.5% return outperforming the S&P 500 during the same period. During this period this has also been quite a lot of news coming out, some of which I’ll cover today, like the suspension of the Lake Charles LNG project and the issuance of another $3 billion in senior notes . The market seems to have reacted well to the news though given how the unit price has moved. Sources at the US embassy in Rome confirmed a statement from ICE, the agency embroiled in a brutal immigration crackdown in the US, saying that federal agents would support diplomatic security details during the Milan-Cortina games but would not run any enforcement operations.
