To put it bluntly, it reminds me quite a bit of NVIDIA’s ( NVDA ) performance after the company’s November 2025 earnings report: a great quarterly report, followed by a selloff the very next day. That’s essentially what occurred with Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. ( AMD ) after the company released its fourth-quarter earnings report in 2025. AMD exceeded analysts’ already high expectations for the company’s quarterly results (EPS of $1.53 compared to the consensus estimate of $1.32; revenue of $10.27 billion as opposed to the estimated $9.67 billion). Additionally, AMD increased its guidance for the subsequent quarter and posted a record. Therefore, what could be causing the stock price to fall 8% in the aftermarket? I believe the most likely explanation is investor and analyst sentiment; many are viewing AMD through a microscope in hopes that the company will do something wrong, allowing them to immediately press “sell” on their computer screens and claim some of the profits they have garnered thus far. I’m a long-term investor in AMD, and I continue to believe in the company, regardless of the market’s response to the quarterly results. On the back of a drastic price target cut by an analyst tracking the design software company, market players traded out of the shares, leaving them with a loss of almost 11% on the day. That's one deep cut Before market open, Piper Sandler's Hannah Rudoff cut her company's fair value assessment on Figma in half, reducing it to $35 per share from the previous $70. Despite that rather significant change, Rudoff maintained her recommendation of overweight (read: buy) on the specialized tech company's equity. Let's take a brief look at this deal and determine whether it can be beneficial for Lilly stock. Tools of the trade Germany-based Seamless is a producer of programmable recombinases -- proteins and enzymes that can be used as molecular "tools" to edit DNA. These are essentially used to repair the genetic mutations that are frequently the cause of disease. They do their work outside the native mechanisms cells use to fix themselves. Anthropic is working on a deal to let some employees sell shares in the company at a valuation of at least $350 billion, according to a person familiar with the matter, a plan that is coming together at the same time as a funding round that could bring in more than $20 billion. The tender offer would allow Anthropic staffers to cash out some equity in one of the world’s most richly valued artificial intelligence startups. The $350 billion valuation is the same one being discussed in the company’s ongoing fundraising, the person said, and is pre-money, meaning it does not include dollars being raised. Anthropic declined to comment on the effort. The details of the tender offer haven’t been finalized yet, said the person, who asked not to be identified because the matter is private. The capital for the secondary deal is being lined up from investors, and the ultimate transaction value will depend on how much stock eligible current and former employees decide to sell, they said. The valuation of the tender offer could also change depending on Anthropic’s current funding round and the value of the company. Secondary share sales are an increasingly popular way for startups to give staff a way to get liquidity in a competitive AI hiring landscape, as more large startups choose to stay private longer.
