This article first appeared on GuruFocus. Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD, Financials) has appointed Ariel Kelman as its new senior vice president and chief marketing officer, the company announced Monday. Kelman joins AMD after serving as CMO at Salesforce, Inc., where he led global marketing efforts for the past three years. Kelman worked for Oracle Corporation in the same job before joining Salesforce. This gave him a lot of knowledge in enterprise software, cloud platforms, and digital transformation initiatives, all of which are becoming more important to AMD's data center and AI product plans. AMD is still competing with Nvidia and Intel in the high-performance computing arena, especially in AI accelerators, cloud infrastructure, and custom hardware. As chipmakers try to stand out in a competitive and technically difficult sector, marketing has become a very important job. Kelman's experience might help AMD improve its messaging in the corporate and hyperscaler markets, as well as assist the launch of new products like EPYC server chips, Ryzen CPUs, and AI accelerators like Instinct MI300.

Feb 10 (Reuters) - Alphabet has sold bonds worth $20 billion in a seven-part offering stretching out to 2066, tapping the debt market to fund its surging spending on artificial intelligence infrastructure. The disclosure on Tuesday underscored Big Tech's growing appetite for credit, in a shift away from years of relying on strong cash flows to fund investment in new technologies. The pivot has raised investor concerns as payoffs remain small from the hundreds of billions of dollars U.S. tech giants are pouring into AI. Their capital expenditure is expected to total at least $630 billion this year, with most of spending focused on data-centers and the AI chips that power them. Alphabet's announcement follows a $25 billion note sale by Oracle disclosed on February 2 in a securities filing. Last week, Alphabet said it would spend as much as $185 billion this year. Jakarta, Pintu News – Nvidia remains the “crown jewel” of the AI revolution, with a number of recent analyst recommendation hikes projecting a valuation of up to $5 trillion by the end of 2026 as GPU demand explodes. The share price is currently hovering around $185 after the post earnings turmoil, but the price target in the $300-$500 range indicates a potential upside of around 60-170%, driven by Blackwell’s production ramp-up and Rubin’s platform hype dominating “AI stocks” searches on Google Trends. Surge in AI demand cements Nvidia’s dominance Nvidia controls more than 90% of the AI training accelerator market with its H100/Blackwell line and CUDA software ecosystem excellence, leaving competitors scrambling to catch up. Read also: Nvidia (NVDA) Stock Analysis: Time to Buy, Sell, or Hold in 2026? Some key analyst calls: Morgan Stanley set an aggressive price target of $280 (up about 51% from current levels), highlighting a vision of an “AI factory” where data centers evolve into sovereign computing hubs; while Goldman Sachs set a target of $250 (about +35%), pointing to Q4 performance that exceeded expectations and a revenue projection of $39 billion amid a capex boom of hyperscalers like AWS and Azure. Data Center segment revenue, which now accounts for 87% of the total, jumped 122% in the last quarter thanks to commitments of more than $200 billion from tech giants. The automotive (self-driving) and Omniverse segments also added to the diversification of revenue sources. CEO Jensen Huang projects AI infrastructure spending will reach $1 trillion per year, putting Nvidia on a path of potential cumulative sales of about $500 billion through 2030. Path to $5 Trillion Valuation: Projections and Key Drivers Wall Street estimates Nvidia’s fair price at around $265 (potential upside of around 43%), but more optimistic parties such as Evercore ISI ($352 target) project that Nvidia could return to a valuation of $5 trillion assuming a price-to-earnings forward of 40x ...

Leerdam, pipped into silver at Beijing 2022, claimed the gold in a new Olympic record time. It provides a perfect ending to a frenetic few months for Leerdam, who had to rely on a discretionary place at Milan-Cortina 2026 having crashed in qualifying.
