Panic Ensues After Trump Orders CIA To Give 2020 Election Intel To 'Stop The Steal' Lawyer President Donald Trump has instructed the CIA and other spy agencies to hand over intelligence related to the 2020 election , a bunch of (presumably panicked) US intelligence officials told Politico and NBC News . The records are to be handed over to Kurt Olsen - now a temporary government employee in the White House - who four years ago was involved in the "Stop the Steal" campaign to determine whether Joe Biden won the 2020 election via cheating. Attorney Kurt Olsen during his opening statement in Kari Lake's election challenge trial on May 17, 2023, in Mesa, Ariz.Mark Henle / USA Today Network via Imagn And you know they're freaking out by the way they tell us this... "The administration last year hired Kurt Olsen, who more than five years ago took part in the “Stop the Steal” campaign that promoted baseless claims of widespread voter fraud, to investigate the 2020 election." - NBC News ... President Donald Trump has directed top U.S. spy agencies to share sensitive intelligence about the 2020 election with his former campaign lawyer, known for pushing debunked theories of electoral fraud , according to four people with knowledge of the effort. - Politico Indeed: " The president has asked Mr. Olsen to look at intelligence related to the 2020 election and the agency is ensuring that he has the access necessary to do his work," a CIA official told NBC in an emailed statement (probably right after hanging up with the reporter). When asked about Olsen's role, the White House told the outlet " President Trump has the authority to provide access to classified material to individuals as he deems necessary. The entire Trump administration is working together to ensure the integrity of U.S. elections." The admin did not specifically respond to questions about whether Olsen was focusing only on the 2020 election, or possible security threats to future elections. The freakout comes af...

Michael Vi/iStock Editorial via Getty Images In early December, I reiterated my sell rating on Arm Holdings plc ( ARM ) for the third time. In that analysis, while the fundamentals were decently solid, a decline in RPOs and mixed guidance for Q3 showed the need for caution. When combining that with an elevated valuation, I believe there was a good chance of stock underperformance. As shown in the chart below, despite the recent bounce, the stock has had notable declines since the publication of my update. Today, we'll go through their latest results , among other things, to see whether the investment thesis for the stock has changed. Seeking Alpha Below, it is shown that Q3 was a decent quarter, but there are some real concerns. The accelerating RPO declines suggest that demand is softening despite AI tailwinds, and so there are signs the business is losing momentum. In their Q4 guidance, they stated their expectations for further revenue deceleration, and while there are opportunities in robotics, there are also risks in the form of memory chip shortages. At this point, the outlook is quite uncertain, and so I view the premium valuation as undeserved. The stock has bounced rather sharply lately, but in my view, there is a good likelihood that this is a dead cat bounce rather than a true recovery for the stock. Revenue Analysis Data by YCharts Arm reported their FY2026 Q3 earnings just a few days ago on Feb 4th. Let's start today's discussion with a close look at the company's top line results. In the third quarter, Arm generated total revenues worth $1.242 billion, and that represents a 26% YoY increase. While this growth rate is a deceleration from the previous quarter, it is still respectable in the grand scheme of things. Furthermore, they were able to beat topline expectations by $15.20 million to show a decent amount of outperformance. Overall, judging from these results, it seems that their business trajectory has remained solid even if it isn't exceptional a...

The billionaire owner of a bridge connecting Michigan with Canada met Howard Lutnick, the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, on Monday hours before President Trump lambasted a competing span, in the latest flashpoint in the deteriorating relationship between the United States and Canada, the New York Times reported. Matthew Moroun is a Detroit-based trucking magnate whose family has operated the Ambassador Bridge between Detroit and Windsor, Ontario, for decades. He met on Monday with Lutnick in Washington, according to two officials briefed on the meeting, the report said. After that meeting, Lutnick spoke with Trump by phone about the matter, the officials said. Shortly afterward, Trump threatened to block the planned opening of a new bridge between Detroit and Windsor, which would take away toll revenue from Moroun’s crossing, if Canadian officials did not address a long list of grievances, the report added. The Moroun family has for decades mounted legal challenges to block or delay the competing project, known as the Gordie Howe International Bridge. One of the challenges reached the Canadian Supreme Court, while the family has also lobbied extensively against it. The Gordie Howe International Bridge, expected to open early this year, was built by Canada to ease cargo transport between Detroit and Windsor, Ontario. Trump claimed that Canada owns "both the Canada and the United States side" of the bridge "and, of course, built it with virtually no U.S. content." Streeting's decision, off his own bat, to publish his text exchanges with Lord Mandelson prompted the prime minister to issue a coded rebuke of his health secretary. By publicly underlining the importance of a "managed process" for the release of material relating to the former ambassador, he was signalling Streeting's unilateral release of exchanges clearly wasn't.
