( RCAT ) is up around 8% in premarket trading on Wednesday, moving mainly in sympathy with the overall market recovery on the ceasefire talks between the U.S. and Iran. Seeking Alpha The stock has been through it over the past month, down over 20%, and over the past 6 months, down another 18%. Still, year to date, the stock is up around 52%. I last covered Red Cat in mid September of last year, and saw more upside following the inclusion of the Black Widow drone in the NATO NSPA catalog, maintaining my buy from mid- August , with the stock up over 43.6% since then, outperforming the market, with the S&P 500 ( SP500 ) up 2.5% during the same period. TheTechie I called RCAT “my favorite drone stock this year” back in 2025, and I think that worked out well in retrospect, and I’m doubling down this year. I remain convinced there’s more upside ahead for the stock, and think the dip over the past month and 6 months is worth buying. Back in September, I said that “Red Cat offers a medium-risk, high-reward opportunity with some very nice contracts and accelerator catalysts over the next 12 to 24 months.” That said, today's ceasefire-driven move is largely noise for my long-term investment thesis.
