Vale’s ( VALE ) Oman operations' annual production capacity totaled 9M tons of iron ore pellets in 2025, ~29% of the company's overall output. Even as Iran's blockade of the Strait of Hormuz is preventing deliveries, Vale ( VALE ) is not yet considering changing its full-year pellet production guidance of 30M-34M tons, according to the report . The index compiler said it is not considering Indonesia for inclusion on the watch list and the country’s Secondary Emerging market status remains unchanged, according to its statement . “FTSE Russell will confirm the treatment of Indonesian securities ahead of the June 2026 index review, taking into account reform progress and stakeholder input,” it said. The decision puts further pressure on Indonesian authorities to improve transparency after MSCI’s warning in January triggered one of the worst selloffs in the nation’s stock market in decades. Local shares have fallen more than 19% since the start of the year — making them the world’s worst performers. FTSE in February excluded Indonesian stocks from its periodic index review for inclusion or exclusion of stocks due to the risk of adverse turnover and uncertainty in determining public float amid the ongoing reforms by regulators. Indonesia has carried out a series of initiatives to address MSCI’s concerns including a stock exchange ruling last week requiring listed companies to raise their public float to at least 15% within three years. The New York Post reports that the long-range quantum magnetometry surveillance tool, powered by AI, was used in the U.S. search-and-rescue operation for the second crew member from the downed F-15 fighter jet. Sources described Ghost Murmur as able to detect something as faint as a human heartbeat's magnetic signal at long distances in complex environments using AI to filter through the noise. President Trump and CIA Director John Ratcliffe hinted at the new super-surveillance tool at a White House press conference on Monday afternoon.
