Sigma Lithium Corp. shares jumped as much as 41% after the Brazilian producer signed new sales agreements and outlined a sharp increase in cash inflows. The company said it expects cash inflows of $35 million in the first quarter, rising to $96 million in the next, supported by two offtake agreements worth a combined $146 million, including prepayments tied to deliveries of high-grade lithium concentrate, according to an earnings report released Monday. Sigma Lithium’s US-listed stock rose to as much as $14.78 a share Monday in New York before trimming some gains. The shares were trading 16% higher at $12.17 as of 10:39 a.m. local time. Numbers are numbers.” Read More: Sigma Lithium Mine Restart Doesn’t Remove Cash Woes, BofA Says Sigma reported about $67 million in revenue across the fourth and first quarters combined, while total debt stood at $141 million at year-end. The company is ramping up production at its mining operation, and is targeting a 12-months production capacity of 240,000 metric tons on an annualized basis. Reported debt includes a $100 million loan that the company expects to pay down this year using proceeds from offtake agreements still to be concluded and anticipated cashflow generation. Cabral said Sigma is resumi...
