Meet the influencers encouraging us to stop buying new Anna Kilpatrick doesn’t have a bedroom. Or even a bed. The a 52-year-old content creator from East Sussex sleeps on a wide shelf in her hallway so that her two children, 21 and 18, can have their own rooms. And yet, she says, she has “enough”. She doesn’t hanker after a bigger house or shinier car. “Having fewer things is freedom,” she says. Kilpatrick, who shares such ideas with her 104K Instagram followers ( @not.needing.new ), is part of a small but growing community of “enough-luencers”. The concept is similar to deinfluencing – where content creators discourage followers from buying into trends – but is also about celebrating already having enough, and, crucially, feeling happier for it. In her new book, Not Needing New: A Practical Guide to Finding the Joy of Enough, Kilpatrick lists the benefits of living with less: “An increased sense of calm, less anxiety through clutter, free time away from maintaining the home, a healthier bank balance and reduced debt, children who are learning how to manage delayed gratification.” Continue reading...

But increasingly, she found herself receiving unwanted attention from lone male passersby. She switched her running clothes to baggier options, because “the less attractive and weirder you look, the less likely you are to get people following you”. “In the end, I just decided it was not worth it to come jogging here after dark,” she said. “If I know it can be a bit dodgy, then I just stop doing it. Which is a shame because in the centre of the borough there aren’t that many green spaces.” Continue reading...

Experts see potential hallmarks of Iranian involvement in firebombing of four ambulances in Golders Green on Monday To some it was the moment the mask slipped. Wearing an open-necked white shirt, Mohsen Rafighdoost, former minister of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), was filmed last March fondly reminiscing with an interviewer from the Tehran-based Dibdan Iran news website about the assassinations he had organised around Europe. There was Prince Shahriar Shafiq, the last Shah of Iran’s 34-year-old nephew, who was shot twice in the head outside his mother’s home in Paris in 1979. Continue reading...

Hanizam/iStock via Getty Images By Victor Ko Why asset allocators should take a closer look at one of private markets' most compelling opportunities. The secondary private equity market has entered a new era, one defined by scale, sophistication and structural permanence. With $240 billion of transaction volume in 2025, up nearly 48% over the prior year’s record of $162 billion, 1 and GP-led transactions becoming a major liquidity tool across private markets, the opportunity set for secondary investors has never been larger or more diverse. For asset allocators seeking return enhancement, portfolio diversification and improved liquidity management within their private markets programs, secondaries represent one of the most compelling opportunities available today. But in a market defined by complexity and uncertainty, where alpha can be generated by relationships, experience and rigorous underwriting, we believe manager selection is a primary consideration. Structural Tailwinds That Endure The secondary market’s rise appears structural rather than cyclical, underpinned by durable, long-term forces. The sheer scale of private equity creates an ever-expanding opportunity set. The combined NAV of private market funds reached $14.5 trillion by the end of 2024—nearly double the $7.4 trillion recorded in 2019 2 —creating a vastly larger pool of assets with the potential to be offered into the secondary market. As this NAV grows, so too does the supply of secondary investment opportunities. Despite the secondary market growing approximately fourfold since 2014, secondaries trading remains low at just 1 – 2% of total private markets NAV. 2 Even a modest increase from these historically low turnover levels would have a substantial impact on transaction volume, and as LPs become more active in managing their private markets holdings and GPs more sophisticated in managing investor cash-flow needs, that proportion is likely to rise regardless of the broader exit and liquidity e...

Over the past year, the two leaders in the obesity drug market, Eli Lilly (NYSE: LLY) and Novo Nordisk (NYSE: NVO) , have lagged broader equities, though the latter has performed substantially worse than the former. Still, analysts predict that this therapeutic area will soar over the next decade, and there is a good chance these two will maintain their edge over their peers given their pipelines. But which one is a better buy? Eli Lilly's weight loss medicine, Zepbound, and Novo Nordisk's Wegovy have gone head-to-head in a clinical trial. The former emerged victorious, leading to a mean weight loss of 20.2% compared to the latter's 13.7% in the 72-week study. It's no wonder, then, that Zepbound has been gaining significant traction and now holds the lead in this market, despite Wegovy being approved more than two years before it. Erik Isakson/DigitalVision via Getty Images What concerns me is no longer whether Celestica Inc. ( CLS ) is executing well, which it obviously is . My major concern is whether the stock still offers a good setup after the stock price has already reflected the success of that execution. I think what’s more relevant to me is that, while Celestica is no longer a "hidden" AI beneficiary, it’s become a relatively more "obvious" play on the AI space, and the more interesting reality is that the story has already run its re-rating phase. The reality is that the story has changed, and while the transition from a low-margin EMS model to a hyperscaler-aligned infrastructure model is certainly a real change. So the 28% revenue growth and 56% EPS growth in 2025 are not narrative-dependent; they’re real operating leverage and mix changes. However, those changes are dependent on a single variable, namely, whether or not hyperscaler AI spending continues to be high and uninterrupted. The Business Has Changed, But So Has The Risk Profile The CCS segment now dominates the business , and with that comes the structural shift in hyperscaler exposure. From one perspective, that’s clearly an improvement. Higher margins, better ROICs, deeper relationships with customers, and I’d say that the company has executed nearly flawlessly on that opportunity so far. The build-out in 800G networking, the early days in 1.6T switching, and now the increasing role in AI rack integration all suggest that Celestica is no longer just a hardware box assembler but is increasingly playing a role in value creation. But I still don’t know how to reconcile how much of that is structural and how much is cyclical. Fourth Quarter 2025 Financial Results The management commentary on multi-year visibility and backlog is certainly true, and one that I don’t dismiss. I just don’t know that I think that the market is fully appreciating how closely that’s tied to one macro driver. Hyperscaler capex is historically high ...

Cybersecurity stocks slumped on Friday after a Fortune report raised concern that an Anthropic PBC artificial intelligence model being tested may be used by hackers to skirt current cyber defenses. Shares of CrowdStrike Holdings Inc. , Palo Alto Networks Inc. and Zscaler Inc. dropped more than 5%, while Cloudflare Inc. shed 3.2%. The Global X Cybersecurity ETF fell as much as 6.1%, bringing its decline this year to more than 20%. The report cited a draft blog post that said Anthropic believes the model “poses unprecedented cybersecurity risks.” Fortune said it accessed the draft post via an unsecured and publicly accessible database and reported that an Anthropic spokesperson confirmed that the company is testing a new model and that an error led to the draft being viewable. An Anthropic spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Bloomberg. Anthropic’s new model, called Claude Capybara, is being tested by a small group of early access customers, according to the draft blog. Given the model’s capabilities, Anthropic is planning to share results from tests to help cyber firms improve their defenses ahead of its release, the report said. “We think Anthropic is also trying to limit their product being used by hackers,” said Bernstein analyst Peter Weed . “This is good hygiene and a baseline expectation for their product.” Earlier this year, a hacker exploited Anthropic’s chatbot to carry out a series of attacks against Mexican government agencies, which resulted in the theft of sensitive tax and voter information, according to cybersecurity researchers. In response, Anthropic said it investigated the claims, disrupted the activity and banned the accounts involved. Sanghwan Kim/iStock via Getty Images The AI data center firm Crusoe announced today that Microsoft ( MSFT ) will lease 900 MW of capacity from its campus in Abilene, Texas, which also serves as the flagship site of the Stargate Project. The new infrastructure will increase the total capacity of the entire site to 2.1 GW. Crusoe expects to start bringing the expansion portion online by mid-2027 to support Microsoft's AI workloads. OpenAI ( OPENAI ) and Oracle ( ORCL ) continue to utilize their portion of the 1,000-acre development. Oracle currently leases out eight buildings at the site for use by OpenAI. OpenAI and Oracle decided not to expand their footprint on the site from 1.2 GW to 2 GW. This left the rest of the site open to access for more hyperscalers, such as Microsoft Azure. Crusoe expects the 1.2 GW portion to be fully completed by the end of 2026. Meta Platforms ( META ) was also reportedly in discussions to lease some of the planned expansion. "West Texas has become the Silicon Prairie for AI and the backbone for America's most consequential innovation," said U.S. Congressman Jodey Arrington (R-Texas). "This major expansion of the campus in Abilene by Crusoe and Microsoft is a testament to the hardworking people and pioneering spirit of the Big Country, ensuring America—not China—will lead the next frontier of information technology." "As customer demand for AI continues to grow, Microsoft is focused on ensuring access to reliable and responsible infrastructure at scale," said Noelle Walsh, President, Cloud Operations and Innovation at Microsoft. "Crusoe's Abilene facility reflects the type of large-scale infrastructure that supports next-generation AI while contributing long-term value to the local community." The first eight buildings of Crusoe's data center site alone are expected to increase the City of Abilene's property tax revenue by 32% and Taylor County's by 25%. traffic_analyzer Bhaskar Laxminarayan, chief investment officer for Asia and the Middle East at Julius Baer, is making an emphatic case for gold ( GLD ), ( IAU ), ( SGOL ), ( OUNZ ) accumulation despite recent price weakness. “Please accumulate more gold at around current levels,” Laxminarayan said in an interview with CNBC, describing the pullback as a counterintuitive opportunity for investors. The strategist attributed gold’s ( XAUUSD:CUR ) recent price decline to forced selling during periods of global uncertainty. When investors needed immediate liquidity amid geopolitical tensions, gold became a go-to source of cash because of its tight spreads and ease of trading. “Assets that were easier to sell or liquidate were gold… that’s partially what’s happened,” Laxminarayan explained, adding that potential supply from Russian sellers following sanctions-era accumulation may also be a factor. Laxminarayan sees gold playing a larger role as the world transitions from a bipolar to a multipolar economic structure, a shift he says has become “much more pronounced since 2025.” He noted that gold is reclaiming ground that cryptocurrency once threatened to take. “In such a scenario, gold ( XAUUSD:CUR ) suddenly comes back because Bitcoin ( BTC-USD ) was supposed to be that replacement,” he said, citing ongoing concerns about regulation and quantum computing as reasons for Bitcoin’s diminished appeal. The CIO emphasized that gold’s ( GLD ) relevance today stems not from its traditional role as an inflation hedge but from broader shifts in global trade and monetary systems. Laxminarayan suggested the world is taking “one step towards” a renewed gold standard as nations build independent financial relationships. For investors looking to act on his recommendation, Laxminarayan prioritizes physical ownership over paper alternatives. “Your number one option is to buy physical bars of gold and store them,” he advised, noting that paper gold products can have uncertain backing. Earnings Call Insights: Kopin Corporation (KOPN) Q4 2025 Management View Michael Murray, CEO, President & Chairman, described 2025 as a “truly transformational year,” highlighting $56 million in new capital, expansion of defense programs, and new partnerships. He stated, “our fourth quarter revenues were impacted by the government shutdown and the associated procurement and milestone recognition delays were deeper than anticipated.” However, he emphasized that “underlying business fundamentals and long-term growth pipeline remain exceptionally strong,” citing increased defense demand due to geopolitical tensions. Murray detailed the One Kopin initiative, integrating three businesses, and noted the success of their fab-light strategy, which expanded OLED partnerships to U.S. DoD and European suppliers and resulted in a surge in OLED demand. He highlighted the partnership with Theon International, opening access to European, Southeast Asian, and NATO defense markets, with sales already underway: “Sales with Theon have commenced and we are executing on our aggressive 3-year strategic plan for revenue and technology sharing.” Murray reported three new contracts with European customers in Q1 2026 and indicated that the European business could potentially double next year. He also spotlighted growth opportunities in the U.S. drone market through partnerships with Ondas Holdings and Unusual Machines, referencing U.S. Army plans to procure over 1 million drones. The defense sector remains core, with ongoing supply to Thermal Weapon Sight programs and the $22 billion SBMC Army program. Murray stated, “Our IBAS-funded color microLED program is positioned and progressing well,” and noted a $15.4 million award as a “landmark win representing a $1 billion serviceable available market in the United States alone.” Kopin invested in automation, with both phases of the optical automation program now operational, projected to save over $1 million annually. Murray announced, “our Neur...

What’s more, there has been a safety trade in play for much of the last six months, with large-cap tech trading down and defensive sectors leading (despite some recent volatility). Dividend-payers, specifically, have been faring better. The WisdomTree US LargeCap Dividend Fund ETF ( DLN ) is up 5.4% since my Q3 2025 analysis , outperforming the S&P 500. Today, I am keeping with a "B uy" rating. I see its valuation as more compelling today, while support does appear on the chart. S&P 500 P/E Below 20x Yardeni DLN Outperforming SPX Last 6 Months Stockcharts.com According to the issuer , DLN offers investors exposure to core U.S. large-cap equities from dividend-paying companies and can be used to complement or replace large-cap value or dividend-oriented active and passive strategies. The ETF can also satisfy the demand for growth potential and an income focus. DLN aims to track the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the WisdomTree U.S. Large Cap Dividend Index. DLN is a large ETF, now with $5.6 billion in assets under management as of March 26, 2026. That’s up from $5.3 billion at the time of my September 2025 assessment. Its annual expense ratio is moderately low at 28 basis points, while the trailing 12-month dividend yield is 1.9%--about 0.7 percentage points above that of the S&P 500. Share-price momentum has been decent lately—more so on a relative basis than on its own. Posting steady alpha to the SPX in recent months, DLN now ranks No. 3 out of 25 in its Sub Class by Seeking Alpha’s quantitative scoring system. The fund’s risk metrics appear sanguine, particularly its low 8.1 historical realized standard deviation metric. On liquidity , I likewise see solid figures. Average daily volume is close to 200,000 shares, while the median 30-day bid/ask sp...
