00:02 Speaker A Palantir reporting fourth quarter earnings just moments ago. Let's get some more reaction with Shy Belur, Chief market strategist at Futurum. Shy, Palantir just reported, results crossed the wire. We are surging here. We're up about 8% in the after hours. What do you make of the result, Shy? 00:20 Shy Belur First and most important, the growth debate is officially over. I mean, I think a lot of the AI bears were bracing for a deceleration and Palantir's 2026 guidance. We actually got a reacceleration. Uh, they were embracing for a low 40s. Palantir just got it a 61% growth uh for 2026. So that is the single most important data point in this release in my opinion because it's showing that growth is continuing to reaccelerate off of an already massive base. and that alone validates the peak growth narrative that drove the draw down to earnings, especially when the market is just so risk off on anything dealing with software, but this print alone proved that Palantir is not enterprise software. They truly are infrastructure and more importantly, this is coming is is isn't coming from one off contracts or just any kind of single vertical. It's their whole business. Their US commercial revenue went up 137% year every year and they guided to over 115% growth next year. So that tells me demand is broad, it's repeatable and we're still very early in what uh Palantir's commercial build out's going to be. 01:17 Speaker A On that commercial uh build out. I'm glad you you picked up on that, Shy. So US commercial, 137%, it's up to 507 million. That was an easy beat. I mean, the analysts had pencilled in 479. Um what is Palantir's secret sauce here, Shy. What what are they doing different? 01:38 Shy Belur They're essentially walking into these rooms asking their customers, what do you want AI to do for you? and then they actually do them. They're not just an AI wrapper centered around someone else's data. They're not just some kind of marketing slogan that they're...

Get insights on thousands of stocks from the global community of over 7 million individual investors at Simply Wall St. Microsoft (NasdaqGS:MSFT) is ramping up AI infrastructure spending, including the launch of its Maia 200 chip, alongside a $750m Azure deal with AI search firm Perplexity. Investors are questioning the concentration of risk tied to OpenAI, which now accounts for nearly half of Microsoft’s cloud backlog. Despite strong reported financials, Microsoft’s stock saw its steepest one day drop in years, with the share price now at $430.29. Adoption of Microsoft’s own enterprise AI products is still limited, even as the company deepens AI partnerships and builds out in house hardware. Microsoft, trading at $430.29 under ticker NasdaqGS:MSFT, is in an unusual spot where strong reported results sit next to a sharp reset in sentiment. The stock is down 8.5% over the past week and 9.0% over both the past month and year to date, while the 1 year return stands at 5.5% and the 3 year and 5 year returns are 71.6% and 84.9%. This mix of long term gains and short term pullback is shaping how investors assess the company’s AI and cloud pivot. For you as a shareholder or potential investor, the key issues now are capital intensity, dependence on OpenAI, and how quickly Microsoft can drive usage of its own AI products. The Maia 200 rollout and new partnerships, such as Perplexity on Azure, point to a company working to spread risk and manage costs while keeping AI at the center of its cloud story. US President Donald Trump urged the House of Representatives on Monday to swiftly adopt a spending bill and end the three-day government shutdown. “I hope all Republicans and Democrats will join me in supporting this Bill, and send it to my desk WITHOUT DELAY,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social. The shutdown followed a breakdown in negotiations because of Democratic anger over the killing of two protesters in Minneapolis by federal immigration agents, which derailed talks over new money for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Advertisement Late on Friday, the Senate passed a package clearing five outstanding funding bills to cover most federal agencies until September, along with a two-week stopgap measure to keep DHS operating while lawmakers negotiate immigration enforcement policy. Several conservative Republicans have voiced their disdain for the deal, however, and have threatened to vote against the Senate-backed package on Tuesday. Advertisement In his Truth Social post, Trump said “there can be NO CHANGES at this time” to the legislation and called for its immediate passage. “We will work together in good faith to address the issues that have been raised, but we cannot have another long, pointless, and destructive Shutdown that will hurt our Country so badly,” the Republican president said in a reference to a record 43-day stoppage last summer.
