The report says that his daily military briefing provided by the Pentagon features a roughly 2-minute long video update for President Trump that shows the biggest , most successful strikes on Iranian targets of the prior 48 hours. Negative developments frequently get omitted or glossed over. via Associated Press Anonymous US officials have voiced fears that the video briefings, which the president tends to respond positively to, fail to represent the full scope of what's going on. Also, Trump's aides have reportedly voiced greater approval for the briefings, which feature Iranian military equipment and bases and sites getting blown up. The housing market has remained persistently sluggish, and the company’s margins have suffered as it has maintained overly aggressive delivery targets, in my view. The recent rise in interest rates has also further dampened hopes of a potential spring recovery in sales. I last covered Lennar in December , downgrading shares to a “ S ell,” and that call has played out with the stock losing 27% since then. Given such underperformance and with updated financials, now is a good time to revisit Lennar. Seeking Alpha Macro environment remains difficult Over the past year, mortgage rates had steadily declined as long-term yields settled down and markets priced in several rate cuts. As we entered 2026, there was hope we could see rates sustainably below 6%, a key level that could bring more demand into the market. The decline from ~7% to 6.25% admittedly did little to strengthen the market given just how unaffordable housing became—about 79% above pre-COVID levels . That said, a drop below 6%, in my view, would bring in some incremental buyers and at least stabilize pricing in Sun Belt markets. St. Louis Federal Reserve More recently, we have seen rates tick back up, approaching 6.3%, as long-term yields have risen in response to the Iran War. We likely need to see the 10-year T reasury consistently below 4% for mortgage rates to stay below 6%. With increased inflation and issuance needs, that appears less likely, and I now expect no more than one Fed rate cut this year. This rise in rates comes just as we are entering the key spring selling season, further undermining hopes for a recovery. I expect transaction volumes to be flattish this year, and I continue to see national prices declining 0%-3% with bigger declines in Sun Belt markets that have more supply. BRINC’s newest model, Guardian, will have Starlink connectivity on every unit—a first for commercially available drones. This new model, which will enter production later this year, has a flight time of over an hour and can reach a top speed of over 60 miles per hour. BRINC calls it the “first drone that can pursue vehicles.” Additionally, Guardian can carry numerous payloads from its charging “nest,” including a floatation device, a defibrillator, epipens, the overdose-reversal drug Narcan, and more.
