The first one is Consumer, which buys and resells authenticated luxury goods like jewelry, rare coins, gold, and others. The second one is Commercial, which operates in the IT asset disposition (ITAD) and de-manufacturing of end-of-life electronics. Since its IPO as DGSE in 1986, the business has undergone some evolutions. Share performance, though, has largely been underwhelming, cyclical, and muted in some years. Recently, the stock has shown significant momentum. Over the past 1-year period, ELA has seen a 93% increase in its value, now trading near $14 and hovering around its all-time highs of around 14.6. I initiate my coverage with a buy rating. My modeled target price of $15.4 presents a projected upside of about 13%. My view is that ELA appears undervalued today at $13.6 per share. Given the business’ high correlation to gold prices, I think share prices could test new highs in 2026. Financials Review Overall, revenue growth was decent in Q3 2025. In the quarter, ELA delivered $57.4 million of revenue, a 22.4% YoY growth. ( BMRN ) initially rallied nicely after announcing its intention to acquire model portfolio holding Amicus Therapeutics ( FOLD ) for $4.8 billion on December 19th. The acquisition delivers two rare disease commercial assets with blockbuster potential, providing a measure of insurance against competitive threats to its soon-to-be blockbuster med, Voxzogo. With many synergies, as well as geographic, label, and indication expansion opportunities for the two incoming therapies, this initially slightly dilutive but strategic acquisition merited a deeper dive. An analysis follows below. BMRN Stock Chart (Seeking Alpha) Company Overview: BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. is a San Rafael, California-based commercial-stage biotech focused on the development and marketing of enzyme replacement therapies and genetic medicines with sales in nearly 80 countries across the globe. The company currently markets eight products and is advancing multiple clinical programs comprised of new therapies and label expansion opportunities. Once its pending acquisition of Amicus Therapeutics closes, it will add two commercial assets with blockbuster potential and the domestic commercial rights to one clinical program. News on Medicare reimbursement rates sent the stocks of UnitedHealth Group ( UNH ) and Humana ( HUM ) tumbling, and the pain looks set to deepen. It's not a year for passive investing, and we need to take care to insulate our portfolios from these one-off risks, and to that extent, I think the time is ripe to sell SelectQuote ( SLQT ), one of the major third-party agents and distributors of Medicare Advantage health plans. Despite trading at cheap EBITDA multiples, shares of SelectQuote have lost two-thirds of their value over the past year, and unfortunately I think the pain will deepen before we see a light at the end of the tunnel. Data by YCharts I last wrote a neutral article on SelectQuote in November, when the stock was trading closer to $1.70. Since then, SelectQuote has continued to shred value, and fundamentals are likely worsening as Medicare insurers prepare for a profit crunch. The next major catalyst for SelectQuote will be its fiscal Q2 (December quarter) earnings release, which contains the all-important Medicare open general enrollment period in which the company delivers the majority of its annual revenue. Of course, the reimbursement shocks that were announced in January won't be impacting this season, but we think the company is likely to issue cautious go-forward commentary that will derail sentiment for the stock. As such, I'm dropping my rating on SelectQuote to sell before earnings. Since becoming CEO, Ryan Cohen has redefined GameStop's business and invested company funds outside of retailing. Michael Burry achieved fame when he correctly predicted the housing crisis in 2008. Now he has made another controversial investment call. While it may not be as bold as his 2008 prediction, it is likely to capture the attention of investors. His latest contrarian call involves purchasing shares of GameStop (GME +4.69%) stock. Although Burry was a GameStop shareholder in the past, the reasoning behind his move back into the stock may come as a surprise to investors, and here's why. Michael Burry and GameStop Burry said he was not buying GameStop for its underlying business. Instead, he believes in its leader, CEO Ryan Cohen. He went so far as to compare Cohen to Warren Buffett, claiming GameStop could become a business like Berkshire Hathaway. Buffett famously bought Berkshire in 1962 when it was a struggling New England textile manufacturer. Gross domestic product rose 4.5% in the 12 months through December, according to preliminary data published by the statistics office on Sunday. The expansion was the strongest since 2022, as was the 5.6% growth rate seen for the oil economy. Non-oil activities also remained robust, though momentum slowed for the third straight year. The overall economy grew 4.9% year on year in the final quarter of 2025. State oil giant Saudi Aramco has been pumping more crude since around mid-2025 as part of supply increases agreed to by OPEC+, led by the kingdom and Russia. In 2025, Zuckerberg and Chan laid the groundwork for remaking their philanthropic organization into one focused on AI-powered biomedical research, and its flagship Biohub network in particular.
