Witkoff Set To Meet Iran Envoy In Istanbul For Rare Direct Nuclear Talks At this point it it seems clear that President Trump is not quite ready to order a major attack on Iran, after last week threatening to do so, and weighing military options. Instead, Washington and Tehran could be inching back toward direct contact. US envoy Steve Witkoff and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi are expected to meet on Friday in Istanbul to discuss a possible nuclear deal , Axios reports. If it actually happens (and the two sides don't escalate the rhetoric before then), it would mark the first face-to-face engagement between American and Iranian officials since talks collapsed amid the 12-day June war . Still a lot could happen between now and the end of the week, as Axios also concedes : A fourth source familiar with the planning said a meeting on Friday was "the best case scenario" but cautioned that nothing is final until it happens . Iranian foreign Miniser Araghchi has stressed that "Iran is ready for diplomacy" but has also spelled out that "diplomacy is incompatible with pressure, intimidation, and force." The Iranians are hopeful about potential renewed direct contacts with Washington, however. There's been reports of a lot of behind the scenes diplomatic scrambling in order to head off war, especially by Egypt, and Qatar. But Washington's demands have remain unchanged. This reportedly includes Trump insisting on zero uranium enrichment, and restrictions on Iran’s ballistic missile program . Tehran has expressed that it is willing to dialogue on the nuclear issue, but that it will not limit or reduce its ballistic missile capabilities, given especially that Israel is not willing to do the same, and the Islamic Republic has already come under unprovoked Israeli attack. Such would be tantamount to national self-destruction and handing Israel an easy, cost-free victory . Trump: Qasem Soleimani was the military leader of Iran. If he lived, that attack we made on Iran wo...

(RTTNews) - RTX Corporation (RTX) on Tuesday said its Collins Aerospace unit has signed two separate FlightSense renewal agreements with All Nippon Airways (ANA) during a ceremony at the Singapore Air Show. The first agreement is a five-year renewal contract providing on-site support for ANA's Boeing 737NG/MAX, 767, 777 and 787 fleet, as well as its De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400 aircraft. The cost-per-flight-hour agreement, in place since 2001, ensures component availability, reduced downtime and cost predictability through a fixed-rate service model. Under the renewed agreement, Collins Aerospace will provide predictive maintenance to optimize performance of environmental, electrical, and engine control systems across the fleet. Additionally, ANA extended its 2017 repair agreement with Collins for three years, covering MRO services for accessories on its Rolls-Royce Trent 1000-powered Boeing 787s, including engine controllers, hydromechanical units, fuel pumps, and variable stator vane actuators. "Through the FlightSense program, we work closely with ANA to deliver comprehensive solutions, including asset management, logistics support, certified repairs, and predictive health monitoring. This all-inclusive support package allows ANA to make customized maintenance decisions, driving enhanced operational efficiency," said Ryan Hudson, vice president of Aftermarket for Collins Aerospace's Power & Controls unit. On Monday, RTX shares gained 0.08% before closing at $201.09. The views and opinions expressed herein are the views and opinions of the author and do not necessarily reflect those of Nasdaq, Inc.

Intel Corporation (INTC) jumped 5.04% to close at $48.81 at 4:00 PM EST, then extended its rally in after-hours trading to $49.95, gaining an additional 2.34%. The long-term AI memory collaboration with SoftBank Corp. also created a bullish impact. The developments reinforce Intel’s accelerating pivot away from legacy consumer CPUs toward AI-centric compute, memory, and domestic manufacturing leadership. Xeon 600 Launch Targets AI Workstation Dominance At the center of the rally is Intel’s renewed push into high-performance AI infrastructure. The company officially launched 11 SKUs of its Xeon 600 Series, also known as Granite Rapids-WS, targeting advanced AI workstations, data scientists, and enterprise developers. Built on the Intel 3 process, the new lineup is designed to directly challenge AMD’s Threadripper dominance in the workstation segment, a market increasingly shaped by AI model training, simulation, and inference workloads. Flagship Specs Highlight AI-Centric Design The flagship Xeon 698X stands out with a massive 86-core configuration, underscoring Intel’s focus on parallel processing. Complementing the core count is an industry-leading 336 MB of L3 cache, aimed at handling large AI datasets with lower latency. The platform also supports DDR5 RDIMMs running at up to 8000 MT/s, significantly boosting memory bandwidth, one of the most critical bottlenecks in modern AI systems. Domestic Manufacturing and Near-Term Revenue Appeal Market participants viewed the Xeon 600 launch as an immediate revenue catalyst, particularly as AI workstations gain traction across enterprise and government sectors in the U.S. With growing emphasis on “AI workstation dominance” and domestically manufactured silicon, Intel’s positioning resonated strongly with investors focused on national supply chain resi...

Data leakage cases recorded by Hong Kong’s privacy watchdog increased 21 per cent last year, with hacking being the primary cause. But the number of doxxing cases has dropped significantly since legislation criminalising the act was passed in 2021, Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data Ada Chung Lai-ling said on Tuesday. Chung’s office received 246 data breach notices in 2025, a 21 per cent increase from 203 cases in the year before. Advertisement Hacking was the main cause of data leaks, accounting for 81 cases, about one-third of the total. The number of hacking cases also rose 33 per cent year on year from 61 in 2024. “In the digital age, virtually all companies store data on digital systems rather than in physical form. That is why hackers target these systems to obtain personal information,” Chung said, describing such a surge as a “global phenomenon”. Advertisement “Everyone, including companies, NGOs and schools, should prioritise safeguarding the personal data in their possession.”
