Robert vt Hoenderdaal/iStock Editorial via Getty Images It has only been four months since I published my last article about Adyen N.V. ( ADYEY ) in mid-November 2025. In the article I had difficulties reaching a clear conclusion and wrote that the Dutch payment company is a rather complicated story and caught between high-growth potential and a potential stock turnaround on the one hand and the risk of an economy slowing down and high-growth rates on the other hand. In the conclusion I wrote: It is hard for me to make up my mind about Adyen. On the one hand, the stock actually seems cheap and must grow only 14% annually for the next ten years to be fairly valued right now. This is clearly below the growth rates Adyen reported in the past and it is clearly below the growth rates analysts are expecting for the years to come. On the other hand, growth rates of 14% for at least ten years can be almost impossible to achieve for a business if the economy is struggling and consumers decrease spending drastically during a recession. And although Adyen is still trading 50% below its previous all-time highs, the stock is still trading at high valuation multiples. I personally don’t have a position in Adyen and therefore I don’t have to make up my mind – I will just stay on the sidelines and rate Adyen as a “Hold” once again. While I had difficulties making up my mind, investors obviously had a clear opinion about the company and especially about the stock. Since my last article was published, the stock declined from about €1,460 in mid-November to only €877 at the time of writing—resulting in a 40% decline in the stock. Adyen is also coming close again to its 2023 lows, with the stock now trading about 70% below its previous all-time lows. In the following article, I will argue why Adyen is cheap enough to be a buy and why several risks for the business should already be reflected in the stock price at this point. Performing in Line With Peers While a decline of 70% seems st...

The impact of Australia’s move to halve tax on retail fuel prices will take time to filter through to consumers, Foreign Minister Penny Wong said in a televised interview. “Service stations will obviously need to sell the fuel that has had the high excise rate before you’ll see that flow through to the bowser,” Wong told the Nine Network on Tuesday. A month-long conflict in the Middle East has upended the global oil trade and caused price spikes and shortages across Asia, one of the regions most dependent on flows from the Persian Gulf. Australia has seen sporadic panic buying in recent weeks, especially in rural areas, with some service stations running out of fuel ahead of the long Easter weekend — a traditional driving period. Australia will cut levies on gasoline and diesel by about 26 Australian cents ($0.18) per liter from Wednesday. This should reduce the cost of filling a typical 65-liter (17-gallon) sedan tank by nearly A$19, according to the government. Minister for Climate Change and Energy Chris Bowen said prices would remain high, given global supply concerns, so he did not expect a rush to gas stations. “It’s best at this point that we just really emphasise in the public communications, please buy as much fuel as you need — no more, no less,” he said in a radio interview. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced the temporary fuel excise cut at a press conference in Canberra on Monday as Australia rushes to shield consumers from the impact of high global prices. The government will also reduce a charge on heavy vehicles such as trucks and coaches for the next three months.

Zelensky Calls For Easter Truce Amid Nightly Russian Drone Assaults Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is urging for an Easter holiday ceasefire with Russia, at a moment each side has sent daily and nightly drones and missiles across the border. "We’re ready for a ceasefire during the Easter holidays," Zelensky told reporters, describing that "normal people who respect life" would seek a permanent ceasefire. "But we’re ready for any compromises, except those involving our dignity and sovereignty," he added. The vast majority of both the Russian & Ukrainian populations are Orthodox Christians. Both countries have predominantly Eastern Orthodox Christian populations, and Orthodox Easter, also known as Pascha, takes place on April 16 this year . The West, or rather the Roman Catholic and Protestant churches, will celebrate on April 5. While full ceasefires, even short ones, have not had much success in the past more than four years of war, the two sides have previously agreed to days or even weeks of pauses on attacking energy sites. This limited truce does hold some potential. "If Russia is ready to stop hitting Ukrainian energy facilities, we will not respond against their energy sector," Zelensky said. Last year saw an effort to put in place a Pascha ceasefire, called for by President Putin - however, there were widespread accusations of violations. Putin himself attends the long Orthodox Pascha vigil each year, while Zelensky is Jewish. He became the first Jewish president of Ukraine after being elected in 2019, and has since faced accusations of persecuting Ukrainian Orthodox who maintain spiritual ties with the Moscow patriarchate . Currently, drone attacks on mutual energy sites are continuing at rapid pace. We detailed that last week Russia set a record for the largest single-day drone assault on Ukraine of the war. At least seven people were killed in Ukraine last Tuesday after Russia launched the truly massive drone. Counting both drones and cruise missil...
