It's that time of year—a new budget Pixel phone is about to hit virtual shelves. The Pixel 10a will be available on March 5, and pre-orders go live today. The 9a will still be on sale for a while, but the 10a will be headlining Google's store. However, you might not notice unless you keep up with the Pixel numbering scheme. This year's A-series Pixel is virtually identical to last year's, both inside and out. Last year's Pixel 9a was a notable departure from the older design language, but Google made few changes for 2026. A group of Starbucks ( SBUX ) shareholders is pressuring the coffee chain giant's board over what it said are sustained oversight failures of labor relations, according to Business Insider. The group of long-term investors is asking other shareholders to vote against the reelection of Jørgen Vig Knudstorp, the lead independent director, and Beth Ford, the chair of the nominating and corporate governance committee. Seattle-based Starbucks ( SBUX ) is still embroiled in a labor dispute with the Starbucks Workers United union. Contract negotiations that began in early 2024 have stalled, with the union demanding higher pay (a $20/hour base with 5% annual raises), better staffing, more consistent schedules, and resolution of hundreds of unfair labor practice charges. In November, workers launched the "Red Cup Rebellion" strike, which expanded to over 670 stores and 12,000 workers as of early 2026. Workers have filed over 125 new unfair labor practice charges since January 2025, and Starbucks paid a record $38.9 million settlement to New York City over workweek law violations. "We have a world-class board of directors with deep, relevant expertise, who are supporting our management team in driving a business turnaround," stated a Starbucks spokesperson on the developments. It may also help analyze sector ETFs such as the Health Care Select Sector SPDR ETF ( XLV ), whose holdings have been used to calculate these metrics. This article will focus on an ETF featuring international diversification: iShares Global Healthcare ETF ( IXJ ). Shortcut The next two paragraphs in italics describe the dashboard methodology. They are necessary for new readers to understand the metrics. If you are used to this series or if you are short of time, you can skip them and go to the charts. Base metrics I calculate the median value of five fundamental ratios for each industry: Earnings Yield ("EY"), Sales Yield ("SY"), Free Cash Flow Yield ("FY"), Return on Equity ("ROE"), Gross Margin ("GM"). The reference universe includes large companies in the U.S. stock market. The five base metrics are calculated on trailing 12 months. For all of them, higher is better. EY, SY, and FY are medians of the inverse of Price/Earnings, Price/Sales and Price/Free Cash Flow. They are better for statistical studies than price-to-something ratios, which are unusable or non available when the "something" is close to zero or negative (for example, companies with negative earnings). I also look at two momentum metrics for each group: the median monthly return (RetM) and the median annual return (RetY). I prefer medians to averages because a median splits a set into a good half and a bad half. A capital-weighted average is skewed by extreme values and the largest companies. My metrics are designed for stock-picking rather than index investing. Value and quality scores I calculate historical baselines for all metrics. They are noted respectively as EYh, SYh, FYh, ROEh, GMh, and they are calculated as the averages on a look-back period of 11 years. Google's midrange Pixels have been our top pick for budget Android phones for a while. They offer good cameras and most of what you need at a budget-friendly price. But this year's upgrade feels so minimal, I'd liken it more to a Pixel 9A+. Or a Pixel 9B. The $499 Pixel 10A is supposed to be a slightly worse Pixel 10 . However, that is not the only way the companies can make money from Anthropic, The Information reported. These companies get a portion of the revenue Anthropic generates if their customers buy its AI, according to the company's most recent forecasts, as per the report . This is a fast-growing source of revenue. Anthropic paid about $1.3M in 2024 to cloud providers as their share of AI sales, according to the company’s disclosures. However, the amount was expected to increase to about $360M last year, $1.9 billion in 2026, and $6.4B in 2027, according to news outlet's analysis of Anthropic’s most optimistic forecasts for sales and marketing expenses— which include the cloud provider payouts — and its past such payments, the report noted. Anthropic, Amazon, Google, and Microsoft did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Seeking Alpha. The revenue share provides some insight into how Anthropic incentivizes its cloud partners to offer its AI to their customers so that they work on its behalf. Microsoft, for example, has encouraged salespeople in its Azure cloud unit to sell Anthropic AI models, informing them that those sales will count toward their quotas just as Microsoft-made software and OpenAI’s models do, the report noted. The estimated payouts, also called revenue sharing or partner profit share, are meaningful to Anthropic. Short interest as a share of outstanding units has climbed sharply this year for both exchange-traded funds, with LQD seeing the steeper increase, according to JPMorgan flows data posted by Neil Sethi. The move suggests investors are increasingly hedging exposure to corporate bonds tied to heavy AI-related spending. In a note, JPMorgan strategist Nikolaos Panigirtzoglou said, "The aversion to U.S. AI stocks has spilled over to credit, with short interest on LQD rising sharply year-to-date and by more than HYG.” He added that the divergence reflects the composition of recent issuance. “This is because much of the newly issued AI debt that caused indigestion in credit markets belongs to the high-grade universe,” Panigirtzoglou said.
