Billionaire investor Stanley Druckenmiller ’s investment firm amassed a position in the largest exchange-traded fund tracking Brazilian stocks just before a sharp rally swept through that market in January. Druckenmiller’s Duquesne Family Office added roughly 3.5 million shares in the $9.1 billion iShares MSCI Brazil ETF in the three-month period ended Dec. 31, according to regulatory filings . The firm also bought call options in the fund, the documents show. The Brazil ETF, which trades under the ticker EWZ, surged 17% in January in its best month since 2020. The rally was supported by a softer dollar and higher commodity prices, driving double-digit gains for shares of miner Vale SA and state-controlled oil producer Petroleo Brasileiro SA. The Duquesne Family Office also scrapped its holdings of the $788 million Global X MSCI Argentina ETF . A representative for Druckenmiller declined to comment on the family office’s investment positions. Expectations that interest-rate cuts will begin next month in Latin America’s largest economy have also supported sentiment. About 64% of Latin American fund managers surveyed by Bank of America Corp. expect Brazil’s benchmark Ibovespa index to climb above 190,000 by the end of 2026 — implying roughly 2% upside from Friday’s close. The optimism comes as emerging-market assets post a strong start to the year, drawing capital on improving fundamentals and a global push for diversification after years of heavy exposure to US markets. “We noticed an increased interest from global investors — who seem to be cutting the UW mode in the LatAm region,” Itau BBA strategists including Daniel Gewehr wrote in a report last week following a seven-city roadshow in North America. Additionally, the South Jordan, Utah-based Health Tech disclosed that it has reduced the size of its board with the departure of three directors ahead of the 2026 Annual Meeting. Albert, who joined Health Catalyst ( HCAT ) when the company acquired Upfront Healthcare Services in 2025, assumed responsibilities as HCAT’s president and COO in September ahead of the upcoming departure of its CEO, Dan Burton. Health Catalyst ( HCAT ) said that his appointment as CEO speeds up the succession planning for Burton, who previously announced his intention to retire from the company in June 2026. HCAT added that directors Dawn Smith and Duncan Gallagher have also resigned from its board, effective Feb. 17, and John Kane, another director, will step down on Apr. 1. Google also said the Pixel 10a uses its custom-built Tensor G4 chip, which gives users access to its near-ubiquitous Gemini AI assistant. Other AI features on the phone include Circle to Search, which lets users circle, tap, or highlight objects on the screen to learn more about them; or the Dialer feature, which contains features like Call Screen and Hold For Me to avoid getting spam calls. The Pixel 10a can be pre-ordered today and is available for $499 starting March 5 at the Google Store and U.S. carriers. The announcement of the Pixel 10a comes ahead of the iPhone 17e, which is expected to be announced early next month. NoDerog/iStock Unreleased via Getty Images Introduction While I generally don’t like companies or holding companies with a majority shareholder, it usually also means there is a stronger incentive to perform well. In Seaboard Corporation's ( SEB ) case, the activities are quite diversified (pork, turkey, marine services, agricultural trading services), while the focus remains on keeping the balance sheet very strong despite investing in growth initiatives. The stock is now up over 40% since I last discussed the company in February 2024. Data by YCharts The company recently released its financial results for FY 2025, and as its quarterly updates are usually pretty short, the full annual report provides an interesting look under the hood. A look at the full-year results Seaboard is active in several different segments. The pork division is a vertically integrated pork producer and is Seaboard’s most capital-intensive division, as it represents 41% of the company’s total assets and 37% of all inventory levels. The CT&M segment includes commodity trading, processing, and logistics services to the agricultural sector. While the latter represents a total revenue of almost $5.2 billion, it’s a low-margin division with operating margins below 3%. That’s also the case for the pork segment, where the operating income in 2025 came in at $67 million on a $2.02 billion revenue, but that was an improvement from the $20 million in operating income on a $2.06 billion revenue in 2024. The smaller divisions have higher margins. The marine segment (cargo shipping services) saw its operating margin increase to exceeding 10%, while the power segment saw a $46 million operating income on a $232 million revenue. And while that is a decrease compared to the results in 2024 and 2025, the power segment (the production of electricity in the Dominican Republic) remains an important division for Seaboard as it has earmarked a $150 million investment budget in 2026 for the construction of EDM IV...

Driven by fine performances from Tom Courtenay and Anna Calder-Marshall, Lance Hammer’s comeback is unbearable in its tragic candour and essential in its moral questioning This inexpressibly painful and sad story – featuring angry, complex, brilliant late-career performances from Tom Courtenay and Anna Calder-Marshall – is about dementia, the endgame of care and the decisions that need to be made when the spouse-carer is as vulnerable as the patient (and whose right it is to take those decisions). It is about the nature of intimacy between the two; and about the moment this becomes a problem for the grownup children with a conflicting sense of their own responsibilities. Queen at Sea is directed by indie US film-maker Lance Hammer, absent since his 2008 Sundance winner, Ballast . This is an almighty comeback, a lacerating movie bearing comparison with Michael Haneke’s Amour or Gaspar Noé’s Vortex . It concludes with a heartbreakingly ironic and enigmatic final sequence refusing the traditional final cadence; a diptych of love, contrasting the pleasures and expectations of intimacy across the generations. Data by YCharts Acute Care Franchise Performs HRTX's Q3'25 earnings came with Zynrelef net sales of $9.3M , an initial breakout from three straight quarters of sales in the mid-to-low $8M's. Q3'25 earnings call presentation. These tailwinds might be behind the further breakout in Zynrelef sales in Q4'25, with preliminary revenues reported on January 9 of ~$12.5M, representing 34% growth over Q3'25, an unusual jump for a drug on the market for nearly 5 years.
