Trump Has A UFO Speech Ready To Deliver Documentary filmmaker Dan Farah appeared on Joe Rogan’s podcast in November to promote his new documentary, The Age of Disclosure, and predicted that his film might force Trump to become the first world leader to confirm the existence of extraterrestrial life publicly. "I wouldn't be surprised if it happens soon after the film comes out — the sitting president has to step to the microphone and say: humanity is not alone in the universe,” Farah told Rogan. “We have recovered technology of non-human origin. So have other nations. There is a high-stakes, secret cold war race to reverse engineer this technology. We need to win this race.” “I think Trump might be the only guy that’s willing to do something that crazy,” Rogan replied. Well, now Lara Trump, the president’s daughter-in-law, let it slip during an appearance on the New York Post's Pod Force One podcast that Trump has a speech prepared confirming extraterrestrial life exists. “Do you think that he's about to make an announcement about UFOs?" host Miranda Devine asked. “Because President Obama was just on a podcast talking about how he believes in UFOs and hinting that he saw something when he was president.” “Well, I said this in my podcast, too,” Lara Trump began. “What's funny is we've kind of asked my father-in-law about this, 'cause we're like, ‘Well, what do you know?’ ‘Cause, Miranda, we all wanna know about the UFOs, or we all wanna know what's going on and he played a little coy with us. And so that, of course, led us to believe, Eric and I, were like, ‘Oh, my gosh, if he won't even, like, fully tell us, maybe there's more to it.’ And then I have just heard kind of around that... I think he's actually said it, I think my father-in-law has actually said it, that there is some speech that he has that, I guess, at, at the right time, and I don't know when the right time is, he's gonna break out and, and talk about, and it has to do with maybe some sort of extraterre...

A hacker tricked a popular AI coding tool into installing OpenClaw - the viral, open-source AI agent OpenClaw that "actually does things" - absolutely everywhere. Funny as a stunt, but a sign of what to come as more and more people let autonomous software use their computers on their behalf. The hacker took advantage of a vulnerability in Cline, an open-source AI coding agent popular among developers, that security researcher Adnan Khan had surfaced just days earlier as a proof of concept. Simply put, Cline's workflow used Anthropic's Claude, which could be fed sneaky instructions and made to do things that it shouldn't, a technique known … Read the full story at The Verge.

HAKINMHAN/iStock via Getty Images The neoclouds (providers of AI-related compute) have been one of the favorite ways for retail investors to play the AI theme. One of the favorites in this space is IREN Limited ( IREN ). In this article, I’m going to review the important takeaways from the recent quarterly report and attempt to situate the news therein into developments in the larger AI industry since the publication of my first article on IREN . The goal will be to offer an updated take on how one should view the investment potential of a company like IREN. Earnings Recap For Q2 Of FY26 IREN reported earnings on Thursday, February 5, after market close. The company missed both on earnings and revenues by a large margin: Source: Seeking Alpha Here’s how the company summed up results: Source: Q2 FY26 Earnings Presentation The main upshot here is that prior earnings and financial performance don’t mean much to investors as the company engages in its massively speculative pivot from Bitcoin miner to neocloud providing AI-related compute . Instead, investors want to know about what to expect for the future. The news on that front was a mixed bag at best. The company merely reiterated its previously stated goal of 140k GPU expansion along with its goal of $3.4 billion ARR by the end of 2026. If I were an IREN bull, I would be disappointed by this, especially regarding the EOY ’26 ARR goal. Given how easy it is to “massage” a non-GAAP metric like “ARR,” if I were an IREN bull, I would’ve hoped we could’ve gotten that figure up to at least $3.5 billion, for example. Because of how “ARR” is computed, it would’ve only taken reason to expect an incremental ~$8.4 million in expected monthly revenue by December ’26 to offer a basis for such an incremental lift in expectations. That’s a relatively small ask, in my estimation, especially to assuage the hopes of investors who are sitting on the edge of their seats looking for all the evidence possible to confirm their expectations...

MattGush Waymo’s ( WAYMO ) hopes to deploy robotaxis throughout the state of New York were abruptly ended when NY Governor Kathy Hochul withdrew a proposal that would have enabled autonomously driven vehicles to operate in the state. As part of her budget proposal for the state, Hochul introduced a proposal that would have reversed a state law requiring drivers to have at least one hand on the steering wheel of a vehicle at all times. With the law still intact, driverless vehicles operated by companies like Waymo ( WAYMO ) are essentially sidelined. “Based on conversations with stakeholders, including in the legislature, it was clear that the support was not there to advance this proposal,” Governor Hochul’s spokesperson said in an emailed statement to Bloomberg. “While we are disappointed by the Governor’s decision, we’re committed to bringing our service to New York and will work with the State Legislature to advance this issue. We will continue to engage constructively with the Governor, the Legislature, and officials around the state to deliver this proven mobility option that New Yorkers are waiting for.” While Hochul’s proposal sought to end New York’s “one hand on the wheel” law, it contained other restrictions that would have proved problematic for companies with AV aspirations. These included restricting robotaxis from cities with more than a million people, pay a $1M fee, and show proof of financial security of at least $5M. Waymo’s ( WAYMO ) current permit to test eight autonomous vehicles in New York City remains intact until March 31, 2026. The permit allows for AV testing within a 13 square mile area within Manhattan and Brooklyn. The development briefly weighed on shares of Waymo's ( WAYMO ) parent Alphabet ( GOOG ) before recovering and climbing back into the green on the day. More on Waymo LLC, Alphabet Alphabet Vs. Win McNamee JPMorgan Chase ( JPM ) is seeking to move President Donald Trump's $5B lawsuit against the company and its CEO, Jamie Dimon, to federal court, saying he can't be charged according to the Florida state law that Trump cites. The defendants are asking that the case be moved to a federal court in Florida, with plans to eventually move it to New York. Last month, the president filed the suit, alleging that the bank closed accounts tied to Trump and his businesses for political reasons. The count against Dimon alleges that Dimon directed JPMorgan ( JPM ) to put the plaintiffs on a "blacklist." "The very statute Plaintiffs invoke expressly exempts federally regulated bank officers acting in their official capacities, which is all that is alleged here against JPMorgan's CEO," JPMorgan's lawyers said in a court filing on Thursday. The "Plaintiffs have 'fraudulently joined' JPMorgan's CEO by naming him in their Complaint without any possibility that their claim against him could succeed," the JPMorgan filing said. The bank also said the president's “threadbare allegations” don't provide sufficient facts to plead the claim. Specifically, the suit doesn't explain what the blacklist entails, who created it and when, "or any other detail describing it." Furthermore, they argue it isn't plausible that the bank could create such a list in accordance with the complex federal regulations it's subject to. "But to the extent JPMorgan and Mr. Dimon understand these vague, conclusory allegations, they deny them — they are aware of no such list. If and when Plaintiffs explain what they mean by this blacklist, JPMorgan will respond accordingly," the filing added. A spokesman for Trump's legal team told Bloomberg News in a statement, "By their own admission, JPMorgan Chase, at the direction of CEO Jamie Dimon, unlawfully debanked and blacklisted President Trump, his family, and several of his businesses, causing overwhelming financial and reputational harm. The defendants commit...

Pascal Le Segretain/Getty Images News Streaming giant Netflix ( NFLX ) has enough cash to raise its bid for Warner Bros. Discovery ( WBD ) if rival bidder Paramount Skydance ( PSKY ) submits an increased offer, Reuters reported Thursday, citing two sources. The report comes after Warner Bros. agreed to return to the table to discuss with Paramount a "best and final" offer. David Ellison caught David Zaslav's attention after at least 10 failed bids for the HBO parent. In his latest attempt, the Paramount CEO offered multiple sweeteners to Warner Bros., including a "ticking fee" of up to $650M per quarter payable after 2026 if the regulatory approvals are delayed, and agreed to fund the $2.8B termination fee to Netflix. WBD has clearly indicated it wants an offer higher than $31 per share for the whole company while also pointing out that Netflix retains the right to match the increased offer. Paramount has not yet disclosed its final offer for Warner Bros. and has about four days to answer back. Warner Bros. has set a special meeting date of March 20 to vote on the Netflix deal. In his latest change of heart on the deal, the US president said on social media that Keir Starmer was “making a big mistake” by handing sovereignty of the islands to Mauritius in exchange for continued use by the UK and US of their airbase on one of the islands, Diego Garcia.
