mechanick/iStock via Getty Images Redwire Corporation ( RDW ) is a stock that I have not revisited for some time now. The company continues to be interesting to me for the same reason it originally attracted my attention. The company operates in two of the fastest-growing and in-demand markets: space and drones. The drone industry has exploded in the past year. I have invested in a handful of drone companies over the past year and seen them do well. The space industry is really just getting started as well. There is continued advancement within this market. I think the defense industry and space industry will become much more entwined as time goes on. Space is likely the next frontier for war. I rated the stock a hold back in August of 2025 . The company is down approximately 5% since that time, so it was the right decision to put a hold on the stock. There has been some volatility in that window, with the stock reaching a low of $4.87 late in 2025 and a high of over $14 a share in February. There was an opportunity for traders to profit from the stock. Seeking Alpha Despite the company operating in a high-demand market and also a market that I have been looking to invest in, the company has underperformed the market. There were a handful of reasons that I avoided the stock previously: shrinking organic business, profitability issues, poor execution and integration risks, and also dilution. These issues seem to have continued to plague the stock, and I think a large reason the stock has been stuck in neutral. Financials, Profitability Concerns, Spending Problems The company reported revenue growth for the 4th quarter and for the year. Revenue for the year reached $335.4 million, up 10.3% versus the prior year. Not a really strong growth rate for the year, but Q4 looked much better, with revenues hitting $108.8 million, good for growth of 56.4% vs. the prior year. The revenue growth was mostly driven by the acquisition of Edge Autonomy and the drone market. Redwire a...

monsitj/iStock via Getty Images Gold futures gained Tuesday after a two-day decline, as the dollar continued to drift lower and crude oil dropped below $100/bbl on hopes of further dialogue between the U.S. and Iran , which supported prices by easing inflation concerns. President Trump said t alks to end the Middle East war could resume in Pakistan over the next two days, after the collapse of weekend negotiations prompted the U.S. to impose a naval blockade on Iranian ports. "Any signs of diplomatic progress may help ease inflation concerns and support a recovery in bullion," Exness analyst Inki Cho said in a note. "Gold's direction will remain closely tied to developments in the Middle East and their impact on energy prices and inflation expectations." "As long as the market does not begin to seriously consider a rate hike by the U.S. Federal Reserve—there are no signs of this so far—the gold price is unlikely to fall much further," Commerzbank analyst Carsten Fritsch said in a note. Despite a modest recovery in recent weeks, bullion has still fallen ~10% since the start of the Middle East war in late February, as a liquidity squeeze in the earlier days of fighting saw investors offloading their gold holdings to cover losses elsewhere. Front-month Comex gold ( XAUUSD:CUR ) for April delivery rose 1.7% to $4,825.00/oz, and front-month Comex April silver ( XAGUSD:CUR ) jumped 5.1% to $79.391/oz, the best settlement values for both precious metals since mid-March. Being in the right place at the right time is old-school advice, but it's applicable in the world of investing. With the help of hindsight, it's now clear that investors benefited from embracing the artificial intelligence (AI) theme and AI stocks in 2022. And market participants who held energy stocks at the start of this year were handsomely rewarded. Speaking of AI and energy, there's Bloom Energy (NYSE: BE) , which epitomizes a right-place, right-time stock. A year-to-date gain of 143% confirms as much. In simple terms, this is a hydrogen stock , but that description arguably doesn't do Bloom Energy justice. Due to its ability to rapidly deploy clean on-site power, Bloom sits at the epicenter of addressing the crucial AI bottleneck posed by data centers' immense electricity demands. Fresh thinking is needed to power data centers and Bloom Energy meets that demand. Image source: Getty Images. Continue reading
