Its results and outlook surpassed estimates, prompting its stock to jump 7% during early post-market trading. For the quarter ended February 1, the data management company reported adjusted earnings per share of $0.69 versus the $0.64 consensus estimate. Revenue for the fourth quarter increased 20% year over year to $1.06B, which was more than the $1.03B estimate. Looking ahead to the quarter in progress, Everpure expects revenue ranging from $990M to $1.01B, which is more than the $920M consensus. Snowflake Inc. gave an outlook for quarterly sales that was in line with estimates, disappointing investors who were looking for a stronger showing to overcome jitters about the software industry’s viability in the age of AI. Product revenue will be about $1.26 billion in the period ending in April, the company said Wednesday in a statement . Product revenue makes up the majority of Snowflake’s total and is closely watched by investors. Snowflake makes software that helps organize, analyze and store corporate data in the cloud. Chief Executive Officer Sridhar Ramaswamy has worked to expand the company’s suite of products, particularly adding tools that can use artificial intelligence on data stored within its platform. The shares fell about 2% in extended trading after closing at $169.21 in New York. The stock had declined about 23% this year as Wall Street has grown broadly anxious about the potential for AI-driven disruption in the software industry. For the quarter that ended Jan. 31, remaining performance obligations, a measure of bookings, were $9.77 billion, the company said. That beat the $8.82 billion average estimate. Product sales climbed about 30% to $1.23 billion, also exceeding projections. Most analysts anticipate that sales from the use of AI within Snowflake’s platform is still limited. In December, Snowflake said that AI products had hit $100 million in annual revenue run rate. In September, Snowflake tapped Brian Robins as its new chief financial officer. He replaced Mike Scarpelli , who had served in that role for six years. “This quarter reflects the strength of our strategy focused on two fundamentals for durable growth: landing new customers and expanding them into strategic, long-term relationships,” Robins said in the statement.

ANGL Strategy VanEck Fallen Angel High Yield Bond ETF ( ANGL ) was launched on 04/10/2012 and tracks the ICE US Fallen Angel High Yield 10% Constrained Index. ANGL has 114 holdings, an expense ratio of 0.25%, a yield to maturity of 6.23%, and a 30-day SEC yield of 6.06%. Distributions are paid monthly. Fallen angel bonds are below investment-grade corporate bonds (often referred to as “junk bonds”) that were previously rated investment grade. Based on historical data, companies having recently lost their investment-grade rating have a lower risk of default than those rated below investment grade for a long time. More specifically, data from BNY Mellon suggest that the high-yield annual average default rate was 2.47% between 2004 and 2024, versus 1.71% for fallen angels. As the survivor rate compounds year after year, it can make a significant difference in the long term. Therefore, a fallen angels bond ETF is expected to have a better risk-adjusted performance than a broad junk bond ETF. As described by VanEck , the underlying index primarily selects below investment-grade corporate bonds denominated in U.S. dollars, issued in the U.S. market, and that were rated investment grade at the time of issuance. Bonds issued below investment grade by a company with securities already included in the index may be eligible. Defaulted securities are excluded from the index at the end of the month in which they default. Eligible securities must be issued by companies incorporated in a list of developed countries defined by the index provider.
