ChargePoint Holdings ( CHPT ) announced on Monday that it entered a new multiyear partnership with RAW Charging that will see the company deploy more than 300 new DC fast charge points across the UK in 2026. ChargePoint Holdings ( CHPT ) will act as RAW Charging's core technology partner for this rollout. Shares of Palantir Technologies climbed on Monday as defence stocks moved higher amid escalating tensions tied to the US-Iran war. At the time of writing, Palantir stock was up around 6% to trade at $145. The broader defence sector advanced after Israeli forces and Hezbollah fighters in Lebanon exchanged missile fire, and the US military announced it was sending additional troops to the Middle East. The prospect of a prolonged conflict lifted traditional defence contractors such as Lockheed Martin and RTX. Palantir, which provides data analytics tools to government customers for intelligence gathering, surveillance, counterterrorism, and military purposes, benefited from the shift in investor sentiment toward defence-linked names. The company implements a significant portion of artificial intelligence technology at the Pentagon. Last year, Palantir secured a $10 billion contract with the US Army that consolidated 75 contracts into a single agreement, in addition to a $448 million deal with the Navy. The stock’s move mirrors a similar reaction earlier this year, when shares jumped after the US raided Venezuela in January and toppled leader Nicolás Maduro, although that rally proved short-lived. Dual exposure to defence and AI Palantir occupies a unique position in the market as both a defence contractor and a beneficiary of the artificial intelligence boom. In addition to its government-facing operations, the company has been expanding into the US commercial sector, using generative AI to drive growth in industries such as healthcare and financial services. This dual exposure may provide an advantage over large-cap technology peers during periods of geopolitical instability, as investors seek companies tied to defence spending while maintaining exposure to AI-driven growth. Rosenblatt initiates coverage with Buy Last week, Rosenblatt Securities initiated coverage on Palantir with a Buy rating and a $150 price target. The firm described Palantir as a market-disrupting...

Yet from 2018 to 2024, its net sales more than quadrupled -- and it still trades at less than one times its projected 2025 sales. Nio trades at that discount valuation because it faces near-term competitive and macro headwinds. The trade tensions between the U.S. and China are exacerbating that pressure. However, I believe Nio could still easily deliver a tenfold gain within the next few years. Image source: Nio. Continue reading

JPMorgan Chase & Co. dialed back the scale of its overweight recommendations on emerging-market currencies and local bonds due to the risks posed by the US attack on Iran. Strategists led by Jonny Goulden , Anezka Christovova and Arindam Sandilya wrote in a note that reactions in emerging markets Monday morning had been negative but limited, presenting an opportunity to reduce some exposure as the conflict casts uncertainty over markets. “The constructive structural themes for EM fixed income remain,” they wrote. “But markets are not well-prepared for this near-term uncertainty, with EM FX highly positioned, EM rates pricing cuts, and EM credit markets expensive.” Read More: Trump Says Iran Attacks May Last Weeks With Tehran Defiant (2) The strategists said they cut the weightings of their recommended overweight positions on emerging-market currencies and bonds roughly in half, “with likelihood that we may reduce further or add back again in a shorter window than usual given the high unpredictability of armed conflicts.” The MSCI benchmark for developing currencies slumped 0.9% Monday morning, the biggest intraday drop in four months, with the Hungarian forint and Polish zloty falling the most. The bank slashed bullish calls in the Hungarian forint and Turkish lira in half and halved its overweight calls on South Africa and Romania local rates. The marketweight recommendations in sovereign and corporate credit stay intact, with an underweight position in the Middle East. Meantime, the strategists remain bullish on Latin American currencies and rates as the region is less exposed to oil prices and have stronger carry buffers. “The duration of the conflict and what can come after are key calls to make, with an inherent large uncertainty,” the strategists wrote. “With a wider range of Iranian targets being hit, the risks are higher of a greater spillover to the global economy via oil and to regional business.”

Iranian attacks criss-crossing the Persian Gulf caused serious disruption to critical infrastructure and energy flows. Shipping through the Strait of Hormuz was all but halted, and the world’s biggest liquefied natural gas export facility in Qatar was shut down along with Saudi Arabia’s largest oil refinery. Here are some of the major assets hit so far: Qatar LNG Plant Iranian drones targeted an energy facility in Ras Laffan, prompting QatarEnergy to halt LNG production equivalent to about a fifth of global supply. Gas prices in Europe surged more than 50%. Ras Tanura Refinery Aramco’s 550,000 barrel-a-day Ras Tanura refinery, one of the world’s biggest, halted operations after a “limited” fire caused by debris from two intercepted drones targeting the facility. Gasoil prices in London jumped the most in four years. Oil Storage Terminal VTTI suspended operations at its Fujairah terminal, located on the UAE’s eastern coast, citing hostilities in the Middle East and not a direct attack. The facility, one of the largest oil storage and trading centers in the region — with shares held by Vitol and Adnoc — intends to resume activity when conditions are appropriate. Kuwait Power Station Debris from a drone interception caused a blaze at Kuwait’s West Doha electrical power and water desalination plant. The fire caused some damage at a fuel tank, while a safety assessment was underway on other equipment at the site. Shipping Attacks Three ships — Skylight, MKD Vyom and Hercules Star — were attacked on Sunday near the entrance to the Persian Gulf, as vessel traffic slowed to a near halt. A crew member of the MKD Vyom died in the incident. An oil tanker that’s part of a US-military fuel procurement program was damaged by aerial impacts at its berth in the Persian Gulf, killing one shipyard worker and injuring two others, according to the vessel’s manager. Amazon Data Center Unidentified objects struck an Amazon data center in the United Arab Emirates on Sunday, disrupting ser...
