Wing and Walmart ( WMT ) confirmed seven new major metro areas that will join the nation's largest drone delivery network. As part of the broad plan to build a network of 270 locations, Wing and Walmart plan to expand to Memphis, New Orleans, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Diego, San Francisco Bay Area, and Salt Lake City. With well over one million commercial deliveries completed, Wing said it is helping Walmart ( WMT ) make retail drone delivery an everyday reality in cities from Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston to Atlanta. Wing’s drones fly at speeds up to 60 mph and use a tether to gently lower packages directly to a customer’s yard or driveway in as fast as 30 minutes. Wing Once drone delivery is available, customers within delivery range will see the option on the Walmart app or website based on the address associated with their account. Customers can also place a delivery directly through the Wing app. "Our work with Walmart has shown that drone delivery isn’t just a novelty, it’s a service many customers count on multiple times per week," stated Wing Chief Business Officer Heather Rivera. "We’re already working with many communities in the seven new markets, as we accelerate our progress to bring ultra-fast delivery to 40 million residents throughout the U.S.," she added. Wing began in 2012 inside Google's X "moonshot factory," exploring rapid drone delivery for items like medical supplies. It conducted its first real-world test deliveries in rural Queensland, Australia, in 2014. In July 2018, Project Wing graduated from X to become the independent Alphabet ( GOOG ) ( GOOGL ) subsidiary Wing Aviation LLC. Wing then launched public services in Australia and the U.S., becoming the first drone operator with an FAA Part 135 air carrier certificate in 2019. Since then, it has expanded with large-scale retail partnerships and hundreds of thousands of deliveries globally. More on Walmart and Alphabet Walmart Inc. The restaurant industry is currently facing a tug of war between value-seeking diners and those craving premium experiences. Choosing between BJ's Restaurants (NASDAQ:BJRI) and Shake Shack (NYSE:SHAK) requires weighing scale against high-octane growth. BJ's Restaurants operates as a traditional casual dining chain with large locations and extensive menus. Shake Shack thrives in the fast-casual space, focusing on premium burgers and a leaner footprint. While both companies have reached similar revenue levels, their paths to profitability and market valuations diverge significantly for investors. BJ's Restaurants operates a national chain of over 200 locations that blend a brewery experience with family-friendly dining. The company focuses on a massive menu featuring deep-dish pizza and its own proprietary craft beers. This strategy aims to capture high guest traffic by appealing to a wide variety of tastes and dining occasions. Continue reading

JHVEPhoto/iStock Editorial via Getty Images Buying AMD On Its Pullback Makes Complete Sense Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. ( AMD ) is a stock that surprised even the bulls with its rapid price appreciation since late March—it has managed to gain over 120% since my February update on it , bouncing perfectly off its 200-day moving average. TrendSpider Software, AMD daily, notes added I updated my coverage on the stock in April , and the stock is up by over 36% since then despite some weakness among tech names lately. Although we're seeing some consolidation building up—especially among the tech stocks—AMD stands out as a clear winner in the next 2-3 years, so the current dip is worth buying, in my opinion. Even if AMD's current valuation looks stretched and scary, the forward earnings growth rates and the catalysts that can help AMD beat the current consensus seem to fully justify the price tag. I don't see anything extraordinary in AMD's valuation setup. It's good that the slight correction has taken place, and the earnings expectations have only gotten better. I'm reiterating my Buy rating on AMD today. My Updated Reasoning AMD had $10.25 billion in revenues in Q1, beating the market's expectations by 3.39% and showing a YoY increase of almost 38%. Their adjusted EPS came in at $1.37 (+43% YoY), also beating the consensus estimate by 5.82%, according to Seeking Alpha . The headlines were strong, but the main positive thing that helped the stock price close over 18% higher on the earnings release date was guidance. The management noted that in Q2, they're expecting $11.2 billion in revenues (+46% YoY) with an adjusted gross margin of 56%. Their CPU revenue alone should grow by over 70% YoY in Q2, so the inflection in CPU usage and the overall shift in the GPU-to-CPU mix that many analysts were discussing ahead of the earnings print turned out to be real. In Q1, we saw how Data Center revenue started to account for over 50% of the firm's total revenue mix thanks to its ...

U.S. President Donald Trump speaks during a cabinet meeting in the Cabinet Room at the White House, in Washington, D.C., U.S., May 27, 2026. Evan Vucci | Reuters President Donald Trump this week said a sweeping peace deal with Iran could be signed very soon , echoing dozens of similar claims he has made over nearly three months. The latest example may not resonate with the average listener — after all, no deal has emerged following any of Trump's dozens of claims so far. But despite the lack of follow-through, markets continue to react to the president's repeated promises. Trump has signaled or stated outright more than 30 times that a deal is nearly at hand, according to a CNBC review of the president's social media posts and public remarks. Stocks and oil markets , which have squirmed amid a global energy supply shock caused by the war, continue to pay close attention to Trump's signals about a forthcoming deal, even when they don't pan out. Meanwhile, more than 100 days into the war , Washington and Tehran seem to be even further from a deal than they were in mid-April, when they began a fragile ceasefire that was heralded as a path to a final agreement within two weeks. "The market has had the hope that this is going to end any moment, any moment, any moment," Peter Boockvar, chief investment officer at One Point BFG Wealth Partners, told CNBC. "I still think it's grabbing onto that hope." The White House did not immediately respond to CNBC's request for comment on this report. Trump said early Tuesday morning that the U.S. and Iran could reach a "very, very good deal" in "two or three days." Oil prices fell in the next trading session — though they reversed course Wednesday , after Trump vowed to attack Iran "very hard" absent a diplomatic breakthrough. Oil and markets have responded positively to Trump stoking optimism that the end of the war is right around the corner via an agreement that's palatable to both the U.S. and Iran. That's been the case even in re...
