One company swept up in this is Atlassian (NASDAQ: TEAM) , and on Tuesday, that sentiment was dealt another blow by an analyst's deep price target cut. Atlassian didn't decline much, but it did fall, sliding by nearly 0.4% at market close. The person making this move was Ryan MacWilliams of storied international bank Barclays . Early Tuesday morning, he reduced his price target on Atlassian stock to $100 per share from $165. Despite that rather significant adjustment, MacWilliams remained bullish on the company's future, as he maintained his recommendation of overweight (buy, in other words). Continue reading

In a Truth Social post, Trump said Tuesday he would maintain a blockade over ships coming to and from Iran in the Strait of Hormuz. He said Pakistan, which had mediated between the two sides, asked for the US to hold off on fresh strikes and he was extending the ceasefire until Iran submits a new proposal “and discussions are concluded, one way or the other.” Ambassador James F. Jeffrey, Philip Solondz Distinguished Fellow at The Washington Institute and former Deputy National Security Advisor to President George W. Bush, joins Bloomberg Businessweek Daily to discuss. everydayplus/iStock via Getty Images The Schwab US Dividend Equity ETF ( SCHD ) is an instrument that ended up becoming a benchmark. I would even say synonymous with dividend investing. It created this status of delivering income — a high quality income. And of course, there are solid reasons behind this, it is not just hype, after all, SCHD’s track record is quite long. There is really a very interesting methodology behind the ETF, good reasons to invest, and one of them is a solid expense ratio of 0.06% . Not to mention the reasonable 3.4% dividend yield and 14 years of dividend growth, much better than peers (see below). Seeking Alpha But at the same time, I do not think it is an obvious buy in the current scenario, especially if we take into account the opportunity cost. SCHD And The “Forced” Diversification In my view, we should compare SCHD with the ‘market’, that is, S&P500 ( SPY ) ( IVV ) and Nasdaq ( QQQ ). This is because even though it is clearly possible to have S&P500, Nasdaq and SCHD in the same portfolio, the investor’s capital is fundamentally a scarce asset, so if you just increased your position in SCHD, it is because you did not increase it in the S&P500 and vice versa. Considering that most investors nowadays hold passive ETFs that invest in the mentioned indexes, we have a problem of high concentration. High concentration in what? First, there is a very high concentration in technology. More specifically, if you buy SPY today, you are buying 33% in technology (even after the magnificent seven went through a strong correction). But more than that, you are buying more than a third of the portfolio in 10 stocks, such as NVIDIA Corporation ( NVDA ), Alphabet Inc. ( GOOGL ) ( GOOG ), and Microsoft Corporation ( MSFT ). I do not see a problem in investing in these companies, they are excellent compounders, with good prospects and a good valuation. But the problem is that there is a high dependence on these names working out. And that is where SCHD act...

Adaptation of Stephen Merchant’s 2019 film about WWE champ Saraya-Jade Bevis ‘will be an absolute blast’, says one of the film’s stars, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Stephen Merchant’s wrestling film Fighting With My Family has inspired a stage musical. The new adaptation of the 2019 biopic about Saraya-Jade Bevis AKA Paige, who became a World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) champ, will feature a book and lyrics by Jon Brittain and music by Miranda Cooper and Nick Coler. The film starred Florence Pugh as Bevis, who was born into a wrestling family in Norwich and became a WWE star in the US at 18 after a chaotic childhood. Written and directed by Merchant, it co-starred Dwayne Johnson in character as The Rock. Merchant said that when he was making the film he “always thought of it like a musical: a young woman from the ‘chorus line’ fighting to get her big break, surrounded by theatrical, larger-than-life characters and huge sweeping emotions”. Merchant said that he even approached each wrestling match in the film as if it was a new dance number, “building to a big show-stopping finale”. He added: “The team have captured the humour, grit and heart of the story in a way that feels both faithful to the film and completely fresh.” Continue reading...

Hackers linked to foreign governments are now behind the majority of “nationally significant” cyberattacks targeting the UK, the country’s top cybersecurity official is set to warn. Richard Horne, chief executive officer of the National Cyber Security Centre , or NCSC, is scheduled to say in a speech on Wednesday that the country is facing four consequential cyberattacks every week and living through the “most seismic geopolitical shift in modern history,” according to a preview of his remarks, which were reviewed by Bloomberg News. Horne named China, Iran and Russia as key adversaries posing a threat to UK cybersecurity. “Criminal activity such as ransomware remains the most prevalent threat to the vast majority of organizations,” according to the prepared remarks. “But the majority of the nationally significant incidents that my teams are handling now originate directly or indirectly from nation states.” The UK has faced a string of highly disruptive cyberattacks in recent years. Hackers have caused significant disruption at the National Health Service, the country’s Royal Mail postal service, while also inflicting major losses for leading manufacturers and retailers such as Jaguar Land Rover and Marks & Spencer Plc . Echoing remarks made by the chief of UK spy agency MI6 in December, Horne will add that the world is more contested than it has been for decades. “We are operating in a space between peace and war,” he warns. “Let’s be clear, cyberspace is part of that contest.” The NCSC said in its most recent annual review , which assessed cyber activity between September 2024 and August 2025, that it had recorded 204 nationally significant cyberattacks in that period, more than double the number in the prior year. To be deemed a nationally significant incident, an attack must have had a serious impact on a large organization or pose a risk to the government and essential services. China, he is set to say, has developed “an eye-watering level of sophistication in t...
