Berezko/iStock via Getty Images As investors look beyond market volatility for stocks that offer both strong performance and reasonable valuations, a handful of industrial companies are standing out from the crowd. Currently, seven industrials stocks pair A-rated valuation grades with strong momentum scores, earning a place among the sector's "cheap high flyers", companies that have delivered impressive price gains while still appearing attractively valued. Topping the list are Commercial Vehicle Group, Inc. ( CVGI ) and Xos, Inc. ( XOS ). Both companies earn an A+ momentum grade, the highest possible score, along with an A- valuation grade. Their combination of exceptional price strength and attractive valuations places them at the top of the industrials sector ranking. Avis Budget Group, Inc. ( CAR ) follows with an A momentum grade and an A valuation grade, offering investors a balance of strong market performance and compelling value. Also earning A momentum grades are L.B. Foster Company ( FSTR ), which carries an A- valuation grade, and several other industrial names that continue to demonstrate both price strength and attractive fundamentals. Further down the list, FGI Industries Ltd. ( FGI ) and TrueBlue, Inc. ( TBI ) each stand out with A+ valuation grades, making them the most undervalued stocks among the group. Both companies also carry A- momentum grades, highlighting a combination of strong recent performance and attractive pricing. Shimmick Corporation ( SHIM ) rounds out the list with an A- momentum grade and an A valuation grade. Momentum grades measure a stock's price performance and trend strength relative to its peers, while valuation grades assess whether a stock appears underpriced or overpriced based on its fundamentals. Both metrics are graded on a scale from A+ to F, with A+ representing the strongest momentum and most attractive valuations. The seven industrials stocks currently meeting these criteria are: Commercial Vehicle Group, Inc. ( CV...

sankai/iStock via Getty Images Wall Street’s recent pullback has pushed a growing number of S&P 500 ( SP500 ) constituents into oversold territory, highlighting areas of the market that have experienced some of the sharpest selling pressure since the benchmark index peaked at a record 7,620. The S&P 500 has declined approximately 4.6% from its high, falling to around 7,265 as investors navigated a period of heightened volatility and broad-based weakness across equities. The retreat has weighed heavily on several individual stocks, driving technical indicators to levels often associated with stretched downside momentum. One of the most closely watched measures of market sentiment, the relative strength index, suggests that a number of large-cap names have become deeply oversold. An RSI reading below 30 is commonly viewed by technical analysts as a signal that selling pressure may have become excessive. Among the S&P 500 stocks showing the weakest momentum, Trimble ( TRMB ) currently ranks as the most oversold member of the S&P 500, posting an RSI reading of 25.85. Outlined below are the top 10 most oversold names in the benchmark index: Trimble ( TRMB ) — RSI 25.85 PayPal Holdings ( PYPL ) — RSI 27.16 Mosaic ( MOS ) — RSI 27.29 Tyson Foods ( TSN ) — RSI 28.02 Albemarle ( ALB ) — RSI 28.30 Gilead Sciences ( GILD ) — RSI 29.25 Jack Henry & Associates ( JKHY ) — RSI 29.34 GE Vernova ( GEV ) — RSI 29.35 Global Payments ( GPN ) — RSI 29.47 Corteva ( CTVA ) — RSI 29.59 S&P 500 Funds: ( SPY ), ( VOO ), ( IVV ), ( RSP ), ( SSO ), ( UPRO ), ( SH ), ( SDS ), ( SPXU ), ( FXAIX ), ( VFIAX ), ( VFFSX ), and ( SWPPX ). Google ( GOOG ) ( GOOGL ) is in discussions with Samsung ( SSNLF ) about manufacturing part of its tensor processing units, The Information reported. The discussions, which are not final, would see Samsung manufacture a memory input-output die for the TPU, codenamed Icefish, the news outlet added , citing people familiar with the matter. The computing engine part of the TPU would still be manufactured at Taiwan Semiconductor ( TSM ), where Google has historically had its chips produced. TSMC would use its 1.4 nm advanced manufacturing node to produce the computing engine, the news outlet added. The TPU could go into mass production as soon as 2028, though that could change. Google is reportedly working with MediaTek for the design of its 8th-generation TPUs, as well as the design of Icefish. The TPU 8t (designed for training artificial intelligence models) and the TPU 8i (built for running inference) were announced at the Google Cloud Next 2026 event in Las Vegas in April. Samsung, Google, and Taiwan Semiconductor did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Seeking Alpha. Jonathan Kitchen Historical technology investment cycles suggest AI hyperscaler capital spending could exceed $1T in 2027, according to Goldman Sachs, which said that past infrastructure booms provide a precedent for another year of outsized investment. The bank said incremental AI spending amounted to roughly 0.9% of U.S. GDP in 2025 and is expected to reach 1.5% in 2026, a level comparable to the investment surge seen during the 1990s technology cycle. However, Goldman noted that previous transformational technologies generated even larger investment impulses. The buildout of U.S. railroads in the 1880s accounted for 3.4% of GDP, while electric motor infrastructure in the 1920s reached 2.2%, and auto infrastructure investment in the 1910s hit 2.1%. The report said that if AI investment rises to 2% of GDP in 2027, hyperscaler capital expenditures would total about $950B. If the investment impulse reaches 3% of GDP, capex could climb to roughly $1.25T. Goldman said the historical comparisons suggest the current AI investment cycle still has room to expand, with spending remaining below the peaks reached during several earlier technology revolutions.
