matejmo/iStock via Getty Images The Sprott Active Gold & Silver Miners ETF ( GBUG ) is an actively managed exchange-traded fund that aims to provide its investors with long-term capital appreciation by investing in the common equities of gold-focused and silver-focused mining companies. As this ETF focuses on capital appreciation, it may not be as attractive to income investors as a fund such as the GAMCO Global Gold, Natural Resources & Income Trust ( GGN ) or the GAMCO Natural Resources, Gold & Income Trust ( GNT ), the latter of which we discussed in an article published on Seeking Alpha a few days ago. However, the Sprott Active Gold & Silver Miners ETF still manages to boast a 1.45% yield at the current price, which compares pretty well with the S&P 500 Index ( SP500 ) and most other American broad-market indices. Furthermore, this fund does not require investors to sacrifice some of the capital appreciation that its underlying assets deliver, as the income-focused gold mining funds do. As such, this fund could very well deliver stronger total returns than the closed-end funds in a bull market. As many gold and silver miners appear to be undervalued right now, this could make GBUG the better investment. About The Sprott Active Gold & Silver Miners ETF The website for the Sprott Active Gold & Silver Miners ETF offers the following description of the fund: Sprott Active Gold & Silver Miners ETF is an actively managed ETF that aims to provide long-term capital appreciation by investing in shares of gold- and silver-focused companies that are engaged in exploring, developing and mining, or royalty and streaming companies engaged in the financing of gold and silver assets. The investment strategy of the Fund is value-oriented and contrarian. The fact that the Sprott Active Gold & Silver Miners ETF is an actively managed fund makes it something of a rarity in the exchange-traded fund space. Passively managed exchange-traded funds have been around since the 1990s, but...

David Ramos/Getty Images News Nokia ( NOK ) shares were up 7% during Monday morning market action, pushing the stock to its highest value since April 2010. The Finland-based network solutions company's shares have increased by about 10% since it released its first quarter earnings results last week. Its first-quarter results revealed a 49% spike in revenue related to artificial intelligence and cloud customers. The company also increased the revenue outlook for its Network Infrastructure business segment to increase by 12% to 14%, compared to its prior forecast of 6% to 8%. More specifically, it expects its optical and IP networks to grow by 18% to 20% compared to a previous forecast of 10% to 12%. "At the time, expectations were for the largest hyperscalers to spend around $540B in CapEx in 2026," said Nokia CEO Justin Hotard during last week's earnings call . "Now, those expectations have increased to over $700B. We now expect our AI and cloud addressable market to grow at a 27% CAGR between 2025 and 2028, up from the 16% we shared in November." Earlier this month, Bank of America upgraded the stock to Buy from Neutral. The financial firm was positive on Nokia ( NOK ) due to hyperscaler-driven growth in optical systems, an inflection in pluggable revenues on the shift to 800G, data center switch revenue associated with European sovereign data center buildout, margin improvement in the mobile infrastructure business on portfolio pruning and cost efficiencies, and a potential advantage in AI-RAN with an Nvidia ( NVDA ) partnership. The partnership with Nvidia was revealed last month. "Together with a global coalition of industry leaders, NVIDIA is building AI-RAN to transform the world’s telecom networks into AI infrastructure everywhere," said Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang.
